Its a good game, a better Gemcraft....but since it has locked content I need to give it a 1 star rating. Sorry but you can't be greedy like that and expect to win $1000 from kongregate...

the easiest way i thoguht to beat swarm was to make mana traps and towers.. but.. easiest way is to get max prismatic and make prismatic trap... start with every gem make it a trap send all waves instant win :) also good to do on the time levels

When I said adds in the game I mean ArmorGames exclusive content, (I know, I got confused) not really "adds". Adds its not a problem, they really should do it, it's necessery of course. I'm against the exclusive content, not adds.

Frydaze1, we are the ones who gives them money, I can complain about it, I can expres my dissapointment to what they're doing. If I wanted to play this on ArmorGames I would be there not here. I'm the one who is playing it, I'm the one who is going to rate their games. Don't be naive to think that they really do this for free, we might play it for free, but they do get money. It's true, they can do whatever they want, they can charge for the games, I don't care, but if they made the game free (for play), Kongragate is a free games site. I'ts free for us to play, that is my point TimSJ, of cousre it's not really "free", almost nothing on internet is like that. It's just my point, don't want to fight with anyone. If you want to rate 5/5, then do it.

Robson_cli, you obviously have no idea how flash games marketing works. If the game has the armor games preloader it is because it is licensed to armor games on a non exclusive license. The develpers put it on Kongregate to make money at Kongregate, but the contract mandates it still be Armor Game's preloader. Kongregate wants to host the game in spite of having Armor Game's preloader so that people can play it on Kongregate rather than sending their loyal players over to another site. As for them being able to get money anyway, a game like this is far too high quality to settle for only being paid a portion of add revenue. If the coder is going to get the money they deserve for a game of this quality, they need to license it. Coding is hard, and if you've never gotten into coding, you really shouldn't talk about they can make enough money.

There was one case of exclusive content that led me to using a fun site, Casual Collective. It's just a small sight with only a dozen games or less. All the other sites, like armor games and whatnot, have eye killing graphics, are hard to navigate, and have the same good stuff as we get here anyway.

ok, i'd give this game 4/5 because of the armor games only. I was gonna give it 5/5 because normaly those are useless. But gem bombs are NOT useless, i got well over max points on the first one using JUST bombs. Spawn all the waves at once and use a couple of 4 or 5 tier bombs and the creeps are wasted

I can't believe how many people whine about the game they're getting to play for free. Nobody owes you anything, including access to additional content. Get over yourselves.

Don't be foold by thinking that they need to put adds in they're games so they can get money, kongragate gives them money as long as there is people playing this here. If they don't like how much they get from here, so I prefer that they just don't upload it. By the way, if the game wasn't here, and I really wanted to play it, I can easily go to any other site, my web browser is free...
Do what they do is stuped, and they're doing in every game that comes out here.
If Kogragate did this on protector, Protector sucks too, they shouldn't have done it.

This is fun, but it's almost got too many awards, too many modes vs. maps, etc. I can't imagine trying to unlock every award. Gameplay is fun, but largely unchanged from the first. 4/5.

TimJS, it doesn't matter, if they lock content, they suck. they're greedy, they want us to go to they're lousy site to play it. It doesn't matter if the game is good, as long as they keep doing this, I will keep rating it 1/5.

game is harder than the original. much more complicated with fewer maps it appears. cant wait to unlock bonus maps and try all the modes, only wizard lvl 11 right now though. i think 'recharge' and 'resonance' skills are probably gonna be best.

Lol you guys are whining about the armor games only skills but do you know what they are? The are just to upgrade the effectiveness of GEM BOMBS they are useless skills.

Just a few levels in, but I'm liking it. Big kudos for the improved/expanded skills system. It's far easier to redistribute skill points than in the first game. Traps are a nice touch, as are the charged towers.

for those who just started the game, and find it difficult... It is only hard at the beginning... the point you reach lvl 30ish this version will become the same as the previous gemcraft with some nice add ons
