"He's trying to get the orb of power!"
'Yes, sir."
"HOW DO WE STOP HIM?"
"...I have a...suggestion."
"What is it?"
"Send in the bugs."

After playing Gem craft Labyrinth and then coming back to this one to win the last to badges... This one seems easy. lol It's not on Kong right now, you can try Armorgames. I like it a lot. :D ~Tele

The third installment is here: GemCraft Labyrinth (actually on armorgames, not yet published on kong, but you get the point).

i dont know how to win the first badge because i beat a level on normal an nothing happend D: some one PLEASE message me on what to do D:

gordon your strat on the first guardian really sucks. theres no way you can create 15 towers with level 3 gems unless youre really high level. So im assuming it took you forever to kill the first boss, and then started bragging about it when you finally did.

Nice game, 4.5/5 for me! Proposes enough challenge which makes it fun, so it's not too easy or boring. A few things here and there might be a little off, but it doesn't really affect the gameplay that much. Awesome!!!

@putligpaa you had to be over level 50 to beat the first arcane guardian?!? I'm sorry to say but thats not a badge fail...

It would be nice if you could earn even partial experience for re-playing a successful level. Then it would not be so frustrating to feel forced to play a level you keep losing on.

My complaints about this game are first off that the lag gets insane when you attempt to reach wave 288 on the final battle, i got to 180 or so and couldn't do it anymore cuz it just took so long. I wish there were suggested methods of removing lag in the instructions or whatever. Also I dislike that you continue to earn skill points once everything is maxed out. Would be nice to just have something like every so many skill points get a starter gem, something along those lines. I hate having all those skill points and nothing to do with them =(

I just got to the first Arcane Guardian battle. When I didn't see the arcane guardian in the wave list, I thought that the locks were the arcane guardians. When the guardians showed up, I was amazed to see that they looked like runes. Truly something worth seeing.

@Vesperbot - Ok my bad, after you complete the game it says you can now play on "Beyond Corruption" and unlock the hidden levels. I think I read it wrong or a typo in the game.

well maybe it's just a trick but to me it looks more like a bug, first i'll explain the point then i'll say when it works.
combining a lv3 or upper gem with a lv1 gem makes the lv3 stronger,ok!the strange thing is that after maybe 15-20 times adding a lv1 gives the lv3 an enormus boost like +5 firerate +10 min damage +20 maxdamage and this works till it reach its firerate limit of 225 but keeps boosting a lot the damage.
like that i could handle almost 200 waves in endurance while with normal gems i could handle around 30 so i guess something is wrong.
to be more clear:
1lv3 + 1lv1 =dmg 12-50 rate 46
1lv3 + 15lv1 =dmg 40-120 rate 65
1lv3 + 30lv1 =dmg 300-700 rate 225
it seems the boost comes from a skill because the grouth of the gem it's normal if i'm not adding a second color and ok i have maxed the skill for double element gems but still adding a lv1 of a different color should maybe boost by 60% the firerate not 300%

It is DEFINITELY worth it to max out duel gem mastery. A duel gem in a trap can do 2 to 4 times the amount of damage than a pure gem of the same grade. This is very useful on swarm mode. Mana Gain, Forge, & Replenesh are also good to master.

statphantom, if one will defeat the entire set of levels between the arcane guardian levels in Heroic mode, the hidden levels will open. You don't need to have the game beaten.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Ame_Pein - level 4 and 6 and a few other ones are "Hidden Levels" that can only be unlocked by beating specific stages on "Beyond Corruption" game mode, which is unlocked by beating the game and beating the specific stage on "Heroic" game mode.

@Selendraco - Here's something that you can do to back up the game. Find a file called giabGcChapter0SaveData.sol which is inside a folder called chat.kongregate.com. On Windows XP, it is inside a subfolder of Documents and Settings\USER_NAME\ApplicationData\Macromedia\Flash Player. (If you're on Windows 7, I think it's Users\USER_NAME\ApplicationData\Macromedia\Flash Player, but I'm not 100% sure.) In my case, the subfolder is called T8LDSG7S but yours will have another similar-looking name. Anyway, so once you've located giabGcChapter0SaveData.sol, take a copy of it when you reach a point in the game that you want to save, and that's your game backup. If it gets wiped, you can always restore it.

@Selendraco - Sorry to hear that, I know how it feels. There are some things you can check out. If your browser is set to clear the cache when you exit, make sure that offline web data is not being cleared. Or it could be a problem with the size of your local Flash cache. To check this, in the Save Game screen, right click anywhere and select Settings. Where it says 'How much information can chat.kongregate.com store on your computer?' if the size is set to 10MB or less then try setting it to unlimited. If you can't fix the problem, then you could consider playing this game elsewhere. At Armor Games you have the ability to save your game data as text. Good luck.

WHY doesn't my game save??? I played it last night saved in three different places and came back this morning and it's all empty. That's insane to have to play it all over again, especially since I was pretty high up there on the levels.

There is one thing I'd like to tweak in this game. It's only too easy to ruin a grade 3+ dual gem by accidentally combining it with the wrong pure gem, as some of the dual colours look like unrelated pure colours e.g. lime+blue looks like pure cyan, yellow+blue looks like pure purple (which is pink, unlike the proper purple in the original Gemcraft). Obviously you can check the gem data by mousing over the gem, but it would be really helpful if dual gems could just be identified at a glance by a design feature, or if the component colours were visible instead of a blended colour.

This is the game that never ends, yes it goes on and on my friends, some people started playing and not knowing what it was, but they'll continue playing forever just because.

Great game, the features of combining gems into a powerful gem is really exquisite, in future versions of gemcraft, I would suggest adding a campaign storyline throughout each mission such as when a mission when it is complete and gems being unlocked by defeating a boss. I hope this idea gets into play in your future versions of gemcraft and Good Job with the games made so far.
