cjk, I downrank exclusives slightly. It's a ridiculous idea, IMO.
Not to 0, sure, but you're not getting a 5 from me either. 4 probably, if I like the game.

Decreasing the rating I gave. It's just too damn long. And what's with the level requirements to go to the next areas??? If you're able and willing, you should be able to take on the guardians. Otherwise it's just mindless xp grinding. Not enough variety to justify the game size, although I applaud the attempt at creating bountiful game content.

Woohoo! First Arcane Monster Battle! It was fun and challenging, better than the first game. I love playing this game a little every day. I haven't gotten bored yet. :)

I know some of you don't read (not that you can't, you don't) but if you want to succeed to the utmost in this game, it is advisable to read the thread. Our thread is better than the one on AG, our thread started the 1st day this game was released on AG.

I hate people who give this game a low rating because of exclusive content or because it has a higher rating than their favorite game. I'm going to set it straight with these fools. The exclusive content thing is totally fine. Those skills and amulets aren't even necessary. And for people who dont like this game because it has a higher rating than Protector or Sonny, listen to me when I say this. It's not a contest. Rate a game based on how you honestly feel. You're basically saying, "I refuse to acknoledge any game other than _________ because I love it so much I will give a low rating to any game that the general gaming public agrees is slightly better. I will not think of each game as a fun thing to play, rather I think of it as a contestant in a ratings contest, and I hate it because I like _________ best." Do you understand the error of your ways?

This has all the strategic depth that the original GC should have had.
Really excellent game. There's just so much here: the different level configurations, gems available, and monster waves radically change how each level should be approached. Almost certainly the best game on this site, and I'd give it a 6/5 if I could.

Pldn, hint wise: The main way to get points is with the badges, each level. First, make sure you ALWAYS send the next level early. By early, I mean 1 click before it would be sent anyways. This gives you a bonus badge. Also, gembomb ANYTHING on the map for another nice bonus. If you kill all crap on the map, you get some good XP. Having more than 2000 mana gives you a badge too, as does a certain number of kills. Check to see what gives XP.

Then, just go thru the levels, gaining XP and doing your points. The early level talents are crappy anyways so no worries there. Once you hit level 8, you can play a new MODE. NOW, you can get TRIPLE score for certain maps. PLAY THOSE FOR SURE! Now you continue doing maps, hitting the triple score maps, until you hit about level 40. Then, you finally get some strong skills.

I loved the first gemcraft, and this is just amazing! You fixed like, every single problem with the game.
I just had a bit of a time adjusting my strategy. The other game it was quality over quantity. Two grade fours beats out three grade threes. The same isn't true for this game. xD Not a problem at all, but it took me a bit to get used to.
Oh, and I don't think he could yell "DUAL GEMS" More. Pure gem mastery maxed AND red mastery max, and a blue/red gem (with dual mastery only) did more damage.
I love this game, so much. 5/5. <3!

Much better than the original GemCraft--you've addressed the variety issues, the story issues, control issues, and difficulty (making it less of a cheese-fest). To show my appreciation, this one gets a 5/5.

Lot's of folks say it's hard... i think it's extremely easy - all u have to do is mana farm (lots of traps with orange) and orange mastery skill maxed. That's the whole point

I like this one a lot better. In the first one you reached a point where things became trivial and never got hard again. In this one you are continually redoing the levels to boost your score just a little bit more so you can advance. Respec'ing to get particular levels is also useful. The first one got the concept down and this one expanded on it. Very nice.

Gem-Bomb EXP Leeching strategy!
Go to Armorgames and use the text load/save so that you can get the gem-bomb powerups. Then start any round and just gem-bomb everything. If you can complete the round, you'll get probably more exp than you would normally. Also good for going into every endurance game and leeching a few thousand EXPs there. Then you can text-save/load your data back here, and all the skill levels you had in gem-bomb stuff will be refuned, but you keep all your EXP.

Good game, but some things bother me:
duel spec mastery doesn't seem to be as powerful as it says, I have it nearly maxed out and when I have a duel gem it says "increases damage, range, and firing speed by 60%" or something.. yet my gems range will go from 91 ish to maybe 105-110ish.. hardly 60%.
I've also seen level 1-4 red gems fail to do ANY splash damage to enemy units, even when they are stacked together so closely, that you can only see 1 healthbar.. does it get better by level 6+ or something?
I also don't like how each gem color has a hard cap for their proc%. For example I like chain hit gems so I maxed out bouncing gem mastery, but the bounce% is capped at 40...which it reaches at just gem level 3, a level 6 gem is still 40%.. not only that but duel-gemming has new hard caps (25%). It makes the skills like bouncing gem mastery pretty questionable for uses imo.

I like that's it's not just a re-skin of the original. It's tweaked and changed to produce a new game! Positive changes, mostly!

The ability to copy the save game information is big pimpin. Everything that was good about the original, plus some additions.. this is getting favorited.

Game isn't loading past 74% through Kong - it will through Armor games. I have the memory setting to unlimited. Anyone else having the same prob?

Banishing means that u "teleport" the monsters from ur tower back to the start of their path <- thats what i thing it is ^^

How do you banish monsters. Maybe I am just not seeing it, but I can't find the key in the instructions above or in the beginning of any levels I have played. I remember having a hard time figuring it out in the first one, but I did. Obviously I forgotten it.
