I've bought the premium version of some of the prior editions in the series, but I find the shadow cores aspect of this version to be too intrusive. Balancing that out is the marvel of a x9 button, and graphics that really help to bring the critters to life, regardless of others saying they are minimal. They are just right.

greg, the easy badge seems to be reporting beaten fields, not achievements gained. The reporting issue may be related to an issue with recognition after a completed battle.

thelogictheorist seems to be correct - the badge also shows my level as opposed to the number of achievements (got over 3x more achievements than completed levels as well)

It seems the easy badge is counting number of levels a badge has been earned on. I have 28 badges, but only 7 levels completed, and my progress for the easy badge is currently 7. Perhaps you should look for your bug there.

I guess the graphics are nothing to get excited about if you try to compare it to a triple A title, But if you compare it to the first in the series it's come a decent way and looks really great. The mechanics that have been added seem like anything you could have wanted and the gameplay is just so smooth for the first time I want to keep playing more levels. Fantastic work! The micro transaction bit is a little annoying but gamedevs gotta eat

i originally voted 5/5. as i play this game more though, its obvious it is a step back from its predecessors. whereas the previous play style had unique replay ability per map with different map settings, this has this "shadow core" garbage that you pay to alter map conditions. The skills you level up have also continued to go down hill.
the franchise is heading in the wrong direction. gemcraft and gemcraft 0 were great games that were enjoyable to play thru the end. play the original or gemcraft 0 over this one.

It took me somewhere between 34 and 42 Achievements for the tracker to record I had 10. Wide range because I got 8 at once, and that pushed me from 9 to 10.

It looks like the easy badge is recording only one new achievement per map win. You've got to beat 10 maps to get the badge, with an achieve on each.

Badges are live, but the easy badge has some messy data reporting. You'll probably need to earn more than 20 achievements to get it, even though I set the threshold at 10 (it seems to report a little less than half). We're working to get this fixed as soon as possible, but otherwise you can still earn the easy badge by just getting a few extra in-game achievements. Sorry about that!

Game too easy, a good game has some difficulty that means you might at least occasionally fail a level. I know you can add difficulty by calling waves faster but it is good to have levels available that you have no hope of finishing but i played all night and did not encounter a single one.

just uncap the summon monster limit and add bonus to XP when summoning monster ,and it will be the best game ever!!!!!!!!!!

Would give it 5 stars if not for the significant amount of content that is only accessible on steam or via the Magician's pouch. Otherwise, great game.

Badges urgently needed! Hours and days put into this game, and I need to clean up my browser history cookies and do a system clean up before my computer crashes on me :(

Sconto if you do glaring first and hauting after you get +3 and then +6. if you do haunting right away you get +9. so no you do NOT loose any skill points from skipping glaring

!!! Caution!!! If you do the the levels again in higher difficulty and you skip Glaring, and go straight to Haunting , you loose the +3 skill point from Garling difficulty!

I used to think it was awesome if I gained 200 levels from playing one field... Last week I got enough xp from one field to go from 11752 to 14788 (yes the levels in the highscore list tend to be 1 too low) Since I now need a lot more xp for one level and there is only so much xp you can get on one level, im afraid thats the highest amounts of levels I will ever get in one go ever... but still 3036 levels..... NICE!

I'm really like this game and I'm impressed with the improvements they've been adding. A single suggestion is for the range of the beam to not scale down when changing the range of the gem. I was super excited about the ability to change the range b/c I thought it meant I wouldn't need to pick up the gem and wait for things to be in beam range. Alas, it is not so. Anyway, that's a fairly minor point. Overall, excellent work here.
