Part of the 2015 quest. I only got to 10/20 back then. Steep task for a BOTD, given that the first two days of this week's BOTDs were buggy/broken.

You won't run into a wall if you get to know how angering works, and are able to develop gems ahead of curve to have a gap to anger (anger=summon more monsters) and still handle waves. Use mana steal for that, once you get the skill tome you'll be able to create mana steal gems on all levels.

Eventually, you will run into a wall where each level becomes so hard you won't be able to progress anywhere. Return to earlier levels, earn some shadow pebbles, redo earlier levels with traits, and after a few years, you will be able to make progress again. I have been playing since 2015, and I was finally able to make progress after 5 years.

I absolutely love the game! What I like the most are the different mechanics of the gems and the great variety of maps. FYI, if your KEYBOARD STOPS WORKING, I sometimes have the same problem. I can get it working again by going to a different tab (just pausing the game, clicking on a different tab and clicking on this one again).

I finally beat field V15. in case you want to know how I did this:
I made the monsters go past 15 towers out of 16. then, I placed a lot of tier 1 bloodbound gems, and 2 with higher levels. when I got in trouble, I combined all gems AND THEIR HIT COUNTS into 1 single gem. after that, I repeated the strategy once more. I needed skill, luck and enraging waves, but it's possible. I almost lost at the end due to stupid spawnlings though...

i swear, if you fail a level with the max shadow trait, when you go to restart it, they just all swarm to within the first 10 waves, hardly time to prep for them.

@sharoz No, you aren't guaranteed to make mana back when you enrage waves (though you will always earn more XP).
As a rule of thumb, dropping grade 1 gems will earn you mana on basically every level; grade 2s start paying off between waves 0-20; grade 3s between waves 10-30 (the exact breakeven point depends on level difficulty and your gem cost). Angering with lots of low-level gems nets you more mana than higher-level gems, but with more armor per monster.

If you drop bombs on a wave stone, are you guaranteed to make the money back? For example, if you drop 1000 mana worth of gems on a wave, is the mana gained from killing all monsters in that wave going to be at least 1000 greater than if you hadn't enraged it?

Love this game but I just wasted ten hours of my life for nothing because all of my progress reset after I deleted my history. I get that this is flash but at least have an online saving system, this was made in 2015 for god's sakes.

gameinabottle, to answer your question: YES, I am still playing GemCraft in 2019. I own everything you have put out on flash and Steam and want more. There are no other tower defense games that come close to these. I hope you've had enough interest to move forward with your plans.

Had problems with Adobe Flash not wanting to load even with it allowed, using chrome, found an add on for chrome that helps with flash problems specifically made for games, so its FINALLY working again <3

I just got a talisman Level 100! I love the game! I had bought Magician pouch back in 2015, and I am glad I bought it again now on 2019 and this time I explored the game more!

gamein that incredible news. this is hands down the best defence game in the web. sadly eats just that much power so later on lags are unreal but un avoidable. :S

Maps that have Achievements specific to them, for example use no gems of grade higher than 3, it should display it on the map select.

Bolt enhancement spell skill doesn't actually do anything. I get 12 bolts regardless of how many skill points I spend and it doesn't charge any faster. Anyone else experience this?
