It's a great game but I really do not appreciate the early game. The game always gives you 2 gems and the options to build walls, amplifiers, traps etc. but what won most of my games so far (after trying different ways, traps, amps etc.) was simply spamming as many tier 2 towers as possible. Haven't lost a map ever since I stopped trying to be creative with my ressources and started spamming tier 2 towers onto the map. I really hope the end game will be a bit more diverse.

A splendidly made game. I normally don't play tower defense games, but this one is exceptional. The pausing feature really helps me to think bout my next move be well organized.

@WraithofCERBERUS - the game saves automatically, but some setting on your browser is deleting it. Lots of them clear saved data as their default setting, so you'd need to find that option and change it (think it'll be under privacy/security in most browsers).

I love this game to bits, but I hate it when my gems' attack speed gets high enough that it always misses a shot after killing an enemy (it launches its projectile at an enemy that is dead by the time it arrives). Is it too late to ask for a patch seven years after release?

I can't stand Chasing Shadows anymore. I'm at a point where there are four non-vision fields available that I haven't beaten and I get my ass kicked by all of them no matter what I try. HEEEEEEEEEELP!

anyone know what the best browser is for this game? it's freezing and lagging, even when played on my gaming laptop. windows 10 (no choice, rather dislike the OS), tried chrome, Firefox and edge.
otherwise, a game i'm still playing after gods know how long, completed all fields at east once on each computer at least once. i love the various battle settings to adjust difficulty and the summoning that's missing on many of my other fave TD games.

It is a nice detail that the paths on each map connect to the next map so there is a logical reason why you unlock it and you can see how many new maps you will unlock.

It is very rare I give a game a 5/5 - especially a tower defense game - but this is as close to a perfect tower defense game as I can think of.
The way that the challenge can be ramped up at any point, how experience works, and variety of enemies is all spot on, but I think the greatest strength is how the mazeing works. The fact that you can influence the path how you want is great, but you make "juggling" (opening up paths and closing off other ones mid wave) possible, but hard to pull off and not as beneficial as if you had the ability to just sell walls or tower bases.
Even the story adds some interest. All in all, this is easily one of the best games on Kongregate.

At 10,000,000,000 mana it stops showing the amount of mana you have, it just says "Mana: " with blank space after that.

In short - if you kill one more monster than you have summoned on a pylon level, then finish the level, you will get a large summon multiplier. This can go up to 50x, but even at 30x you're able to get around 600k XP.

Go to a crafting pylon level. Keep doing it as usual until you are 10 hits away from crafting the gem - take away all the gems in towers able to shoot the crafting pylon. Keep going until you're unable to kill the monsters. Start to summon monsters and remember - you need to kill EXACTLY one more monster than you have summoned - for example, if you killed 1005, summon 1004. After that get any other battle amulets if you can and finish the game by crafting the gem. This should get you a x20 summon multiplier at least, granting you over 200k XP if done properly.

I have noticed that most games that I find fun involve upgrading... either that or just upgrading stuff is satisfying
