The Fact That You Can't Get EXP From A Level You've Already Beaten Unless You Beat Your Score Bothers Me Deeply, And Annoys Me... Something That Also Means Deeply. (And Yes I Copy And Pasted From Gemcraft Chapter Zero.)

Why don't gem bombs damage bugs that have yet to be damaged. I dropped two level 7 on a creature with 200 health and they didn't damage it at all (and yes, they were direct hits)
:(
Boooooo
Booooo you

I'd like a "Casual" mode, where you can't die, and you get mana faster. I'm all in favour of games like these, it's just that I don't want to tear my hair out about it.

hey khiash maybe is wright but thr real challenge in GemCraft is to levelup to level 90 or higher.Ps: I think that ryaneatsbadges should look the other GemCraft instead of giving opinions.

Great game. Some things to hope for: Once you beat game, an endless level, combining gems in towers, exclusive armorgames stuff. 5/5 :D

That's strange. If I build six or more towers, I only get an amulet for building three towers. That only happens on the Kongregate edition, but the 6 tower amulet isn't marked as Armor Games-only.

@PureMusic and all those others who ask why Gemcraft isn't as great as chapter 0. Gemcraft is the original game, released 2008 according to Wikipedia, although I could have sworn I played it years ago. Chapter 0 is a prequel, released 2009. The really good news is that a sequel, Gemcraft Labyrinth, is due for release at the end of January. It's going to be epic.

transmuting would be extremely helpful. In chapter 0 you could do so, but now you can't. Why not? this chapter comes after chapter 0. This is an extreme pain because on the last level, i find it very hard to beat.

just started playing fun game seems long though...
got a ? though... does it tell u the maximum score achievable of the level?
or what factors into your score

I think I've calculated about how much mana it would take to make 1 grade 7 gem(starting the combinations from grade 1 gems). The number I got was 15,360. That's how much mana I think it takes to make just 1 grade 7 gem. If it's wrong and is actually a lower amount then thank Cthulhu that it is, because that number seems a bit high...

Absolution616, yep, this game ain't easy, but it's perfectly passable. Go read some strategies within comments and try again. First I'd say you max out available levels until golden border, then try first epic again.

Way to hard. The first epic level is just about impossible to beat, since you can't even grind your level to a point, nor do you even get to choose which gems you create. So I'm constantly finding myself pulling out gems I don't need. On top of that, Distorted mows through my defense like nothing, and it's not even possible to have him make a "second pass" given how much how rounds and mana is even possible to get that round. No thanks.
