I really liked this game. It was a unique take on your average card games. There is a large assortment in cards as well as several status ailments, which gave the game more variety. The music was okay, but it didn't seem to fit the game in my opinion. Some of the challenges were based purely on luck, but over all risk is the main factor of a match. All in all, the challenges were the only let down and for that, 4/5.

Core game is fun, but Challenge Mode is a joke. Trying to claim "challenge" in a random-draw system is just pseudo-difficulty. It isn't actually hard, it's just a matter of trying enough times to get the right cards.

Love it! The atmosphere is surprisingly good, for a card game, so stylistically it´s very well made. The only downside is that some of the challenges were outrageously luck-based.

Enjoyed the main game, and the look and feel of it, had rated it a 5, but so fed up with the ridiculous lucky nature of the challenges, I've dropped it to a 2

Finally got 15. Started with an immunity and city of r'lyeh. Used immunity, then city. The comp went megalomaniac, so I just held out until the taint killed him.

I finally did it! yes all 21 challenges complete! now i feel stupid for wasting so much time on something so useless.

Something like 50% of the challenges can end in a OHKO... so... yeah. Still, I really love the concept, the drawings, and the gameplay. Nice work.

challenge 15 is also broken since there is no yog sothoth card in it, even though its not a summon/essence of soul. that is probably the one care that can help even out the rigged level. sad to see hours spent just to make luck work

It definitely a luck based game in that you don't get huge deck of cards and get to choose the next one to pop into your hand. But, that is most card games. I suggest you get as much arcane as possible! Since you can use it to save your life as well as boost your attacks.

Well, I got incredibly insanely lucky on 15. Only took like 6 tries or something. PC used the card that makes you go insane/deals damage if already insane, gave me xenophobia, which has absolutely no effect in that one, so I didn't even have to worry about sanity any more. Then, a couple of professors and a bit of health gain and nothing could do anything to me. Insanely incredibly lucky, I know

wow challenge 15 is probably the only thing stopping me getting this impossible badge seriously its like every time i start i die first round i actually feel lucky to get past the first round

decided to bypass 15, took me 35 mins to finish challenges 16-21. I've spent 120 minutes simply trying to beat 15 all by itself. Again, poor design for that ONE challenge.

yup. 100 tries at 15 and no go. it's obvious not impossible, but close enough so to warrant a change made to that particular one. 5 hps means you auto lose near immediately unless you have an invulnerability card in your initial deal, and even then I rarely make it past 4 or 5 rounds, even with extra good draws. you simply have to many conflicts - your health is too low to start, so you have to focus on building it up, your opponents is too high, so you either have to hope for a taint, or make him insane, because it takes too long to build up your damage potential to make a significant dent.
no, this one challenge is poorly designed.

i really liked this game but challenge 15 made just HATE it!...is it worth making a bagde "impossible" to make a challenge just bases solely on luck in a game that's supposed to be about thinking and strategic planning!...anywayz good game...3/5!

I agree with those that say its a lot of luck. its not all luck though you need to get the right cards and use them at the right time. id say some of the challenges are 85% luck though. Over all it was fun

Fun game, i quite enjoyed it. However, some of the challenges left the realm of "game" entirely and just became entirely random events where you either get incredibly lucky or instantly lose.
Challenge 15 was the worst. 10 of the 36 available cards can insta-kill you in that challenge, and the PC gets to draw 5. I played that challenge 116 times. 115 losses, with 72 of those coming on the very first card the PC played.

Good normal mode, challenges have far too many insta-kills, extremely buggy damage done with respect to defence and attack 3/5

15 is by far the hardest challenge. It's mostly playing a million times for luck. There are way too many instant deaths.
