The 5th fighting game I ever played! Boy do I feel old. Slightly sluggish, and I've been spoiled by the mad combos of Evil Ken super-comboability from Mugen.

To everyone who is complaining about difficulty: You suck. It's as simple as that. This was the standard difficulty for fighting games, it's not the programmers fault that you all are just a bunch of lazy unskilled brats.
You can use combos, the fact that there's no number popping on the screen displaying your number of hits doesn't mean you can't use combos.
Grow some balls.

3/5 because it is way too hard, the enemies can use combos, you can't, and because the 3 person you face will kill you in four hits.

The Shoryu-ken from Ken should be able to do a 3-hit-combo.
I rather play the game on the snes emulator...
Or king of fighters wing ^^

controls doesnt really feel good, might be a good idea to put the keys on q,w,e,a,s,d it feels more comfortable there

At last, a fighting game where you actully face a spot of challenge, not those boring beat up games that you find on Nickelodeon where the opponent just blocks so you can keep hitting, this actully a game that makes the enemy fight back, very well done, love it

its perfect conversion. all of you who whine about difficulty lvl - learn to play first, pls. its managable for a average player. go train or play smth else, but dont cry. 5/5 + fav

A classic game, of course, but put into flash form, its slow, the detection is bad, the graphics are bad, you get hit before even getting a chance to close on the enemy, and its just plain horrible. As much as I hate to do this to games, 1/5.

You know I really wanted to like this... but no menu, no way to change controls and the fact that its basically adware make it garbage.

oh and FYI to players that don't like keyboard usage. I ported my keys to a joypad. Its not that much of a change it just "feels" better on your fingers.

Revisit Update 1.1
Still bad. Hit boxes on Ken's dragon uppercut needs fixing. He can be grabbed.
AI is still lackluster and spamming with preset moves to you used at certain distance and health. Examples - Ken will follow up a ducked fierce/mid hurricane kick with a fierce rising uppercut. Blanka's AI version of his barrel roll (j/k) is done within under 2 secs of each other at its max distance and he will repeat this till you die or you start launching counter projectiles. All in All, I'm glad to feel the difference in the speed but still a lackluster port. Feels like the wonky arcade ports that were REALLY broken. 1/5 still

The moves don't translate well into keyboard arrows at all. I liked how it automatically pauses when you click offscreen, though.

Its an awesome game, but the controls are hard on the keyboard, especially having played int in the arcade and on the genesis

Frankly, you should only be allowed to comment badly on this game if you were alive to play it when it first came out. The game was a masterpiece, and although it may not be now, especially because of the Internet issues, it was when it first came out. Show some respect for some video game pioneers please.

I'm confused as to why this game is so popular. Sure, it was great for its time, but by today's standards it's fairly bad. 2/5.

As a REAL fan of SF2 on SNES I have to say several things about this version :
-The game doesn't run perfectly : LAG
-Combos are exactly the same and people who can't do them should stick on the time to succeed
- AI moves faster than player because of the lag
-controls should be adaptable on your keyboard because
-For fans only : the 2 colors are unlocked for the characters password on the SNES for this option was : Down, R,Up, L,Y,B
to type before capcom logo and the sound was different ;-) oooold times

damn comp counters whatever you're doing, once you press certain keys it automatically counters with something else, kick and Ken immediately spams hadoken

Not bad. Personally, I'd prefer just to play it the pc version or the old SNES game than a flash game, but it works ok. Always fun, though if you aren't playing multiplayer, and you pick a character you are good with - it gets old fast.

1) I have trouble doing chun li's special move where she twirls around.
2) one of the awesome things about chun li was that straight legged pogo kick she did directly from above. If you timed it right you could get a good number of hits that way. In this version she goes shooting off after the first hit.
3) Sometimes Ryu Hadoken just dissapear. He does the move but the actual projectile doesn't come out. I have been saved a few times because of that :D

Not having played this as a kid, I have to say, this is pretty fun. I mean, it's a Flash fighting game. There aren't a whole lot of these, and though it's kind of slow, it's still enjoyable. I'll play it further before I give a score, though. Oh, and I'm having no technical problems with it.
