I was stuck on level 19 for some time, till I realized that predators produce a lot more power than ants. So if you just keep on feeding your biggest cell until it reaches 160 power to turn it into a predator and then span tentacles from that one to your other cells they get so pumped up that it is quite easy (make sure it stays an predator - see below)
Cells get upgraded at a certain power level and get downgraded at a power level different from the first one. Here is a list of classes with the value. While beeing of "Class" U is the value needed to reach the next class and D is the lower boundary for getting downgraded.

Zone 17 is quite easy, once you realize the trick. Actually, I use two tricks. One is that there is a slight kick back from launching a tentacle or getting hit by a tentacle. This is useful for making the second trick a little easier. The second trick is using the two outside microbes to resupply the middle microbe while it's sending it's tentacle. Do this by attaching tentacles to it and cutting them so the majority of the tentacle goes into the middle microbe.

Ok, level 10 tips. Use the cutting method to take the spore in front of you quickly. Then quickly expand to the one in the lower right. DO NOT LET THE COMPUTER TAKE IT. IF HE DOES, YOU HAVE ESSENTIALLY LOST. Then connect the upper right spore with the first one you took, and the first one you took with the ant. Then connect the lower right embryo to the computer's bottom embryo. Use the cutting method to make the first spore you took to an embryo, so the computer can't finish taking the ant. If the computer takes the ant, well... bye bye. Eventually, you should take the computer's lower embryo, then connect that one to the ant. Wait until you claim the ant. Then you take the computer's last embryo. Now stop saying that level 10 is impossible. It just takes some thought.

Infamous stage 10.
Here's how to pass it:
Connect two back cells to the one closest to the enemy. Wait for every cell to be fully charged.
Now here's the tricky part...send tentacle from the latter cell to the enemy..and rapidly cut off tentacles from both "back up" cells, repeat connect-cut as fast as you can for both cells.
General essence of the idea is to supply the furthest cell with constant energy to extend the tentacle past its max capability.

Level 17 was easy, Level 19 gave me the most trouble. Level 20 was very easy, considering for once your army is equal to the rest.

It'd be real nice if we had a low-graphics mode - lines with little pulses in - I get really confused on Zone 19 with all the thick, highly animated tentacles overlapping.

17 is not impossible. and neither is 18 which takes pretty much perfect timing without screwing up for 5 minutes straight. i hate 18. 18 takes micro

if you cut a tentacle, the elements quickly transport to the attacked/supported cell. this way you can do quick attack with large damage or send strong supply for your attacked cells.

This game is almost impossible. On each level there is only one exact way you can win and finding it is very difficult.

very good game, but it needs a proper tutorial. I had to watch the walkthrough video to realize that I can cut the tentacles and send all their elements to the other cell. without knowing this, even lower levels are impossible to solve.

if you think level 17 is difficult all you have to do is keep sending a tentacle out from your closes embryo... with each release of the tentacle the embryo gets pushed a little in the opposite direction (thank you newton)

The way to beat level 10 is to release your tentacle towards the first gray cell. When your tentacle is fully deployed cut it right next to your green cell. This will send all the pieces of the tentacle towards the uncaptured gray cell all at once, capturing it instantly. Use this method to take control of the board before your enemy does it and you will win level 10. Rate + if this helps you so more people can see it.

The Cutting Method:::
The place at which you cut a tentacle is accurate.
Scenario: Cell A is connected to Cell B. If you cut near Cell A, the majority of the tentacle is still connected to Cell B, and will add its additional energy to it. The opposite is true if you cut near Cell B.

Awesome game, I'd love to see a sequel.
It was the type of difficulty that any good gamer could easily enjoy, though it should be mentioned somewhere the possibilities of the tentacle cutting thing, not that I didn't enjoy finding it for myself after the 4th restart on some level.

on level 18, I keep getting it that I tell a microbe to send out a tentacle, so the point things get deducted from it, but no tentacle appears, please fix this, as it's making level 18 unwinnable for me
