This one of the worse games on Kongregate. Almost none of the levels have many bullets, and all of the boss patterns are either predictable and repetitive or easy to avoid, usually both. Although I am in love with procedurally generated systems, and the game's are no exceptions, and the evolution path is cool. Still, overall, sorry, but this is shit, doesn't qualify as a bullet hell, and deserves no more then 2/5.

As a bullet hell game, I think this game disappoints. The concept is cool and I'm a procedural generation nut, the bullet patterns for the enemies are NOT creative or original even within the game. Everything is just way to easy to dodge and way to simple. Heck, the bosses all have the same pattern, with uselessly minor variations each time. The game is just repetitive and boring, except for the evolution system. I think it's really cool and encourages players to play again using different strategies. However, I don't think that is enough to make up for the overall lack of fun the game engenders in me.

A bit boring, but the evolution of your ship (and multiple pathways of evolution) save it from being totally uninteresting.

This game is begging for keyboard controls. All shooters should be playable with gamepads, no matter how good they are. 3/5

the penalty of dieing is losing points :p
Anyways, the game becomes a breeze when you figure out you get lives for grazing

riverdarkstar is right. This game is pretty much the same thing as SI infinity gene. This is a nice game, but it isn't original.

A few issues. For one, it seems that there are some hit detection issues with the players sprite when at the bottom of the screen. It's still possible to be hit, but much less possible than it should be. Second, if you're handing out three new lives whenever the player gets a game over with no penalty other than making them do the level over, it would be best if you either get new lives after every level, or have some kind of obvious penalty for a game over. Third, while the graze system is useless throughout most of the game, it completely breaks the boss that shoots a stream of several bullets in a straight line. This, coupled with hiding in the bottom of the screen, means that you can easily rack up 10-15 lives in just a singe fight. Other than that stuff, i had a pretty good time with it, always a fan of evolution type games. 3/5

There's the boss in the last few levels that shoots beams of bullets. This is ridiculously easy to bullet graze. I had 13 lives by the last level...

Seriously, I point out a similarity to Square Enix's Space Invaders Infinity Gene, and I get -10 rated. Someone else says "This game sux" and gets -5. Well seriously, check out SI Infinity Gene... Starts off no vert movement til lvl 2, just like this game. Same 3d trippy backgrounds. Same type of music. This game is a clear rip off. So "F" you trolls who - rate for saying it how it is. :p (and this post will disappear due to low ratings in 5... 4... 3... 2...)

Gah, it keeps locking up every few seconds, then resuming. Still playable. Also, the spiral shot is so, amazingly worthless and confusing, and the "graze" system to get more lives is a spit in the face of risk vs reward, that's like taking the super hard route in a platformer only to find a 1up at the end. Woopdedo! If you're good enough to not die, why not just save time by not going for the 1up? Being careful about it took me more then 6 levels to fill up the bar once.

Lives carrying over can work both ways: The boss that shoots 3 tight lines of red MG fire can be used as a great life-farm for example. Graze between 2 lines whenever it attacks and try not to kill it too quickly. You'll get more than enough extra lives for the last few levels.

"I know you've spent the last 10 levels dodging bullets and shooting enemies but hey guess what!? WALLS! WALLS EVERYWHERE!" A warning would've been nice.

It should be required by law that bullet hell games not be mouse-controlled only. Also, why is the hitbox right for bullets, but for collisions it's the whole ship?

Please note that if your lives were reset at the beginning of every level then there would be no way to credibly 1cc this game. also this is the easiest bullet hell I've ever played.

Not so much a bullet hell as maybe a bullet really bad place. There weren't enough bullets, and shield orbs just make it far to easy.

i used to rate this game 5/5 but now im starting to see a few minor flaws. As stated in the best comments i would like to start off with 3 lives ever match. Also i dislike being dieing by ships often, i should be able to dodge the same way i do with bullets and the protective orb should destroy ships as well. Lastly i find it difficult to see where everything is, maybe an option to turn of the background (even though i like them!) so i dont get distracted by all the moving objects and whatnot
