You know, this game DOES need one major improvement...you should be able to leave items you're not currently using on the ground. It would help so much towards getting that 30k gold at one time that you wouldn't believe it. (I only found 3 scrolls in 8 levels, and I had to waste a lot of money to buff up and beat the hydra.) I could have sold just a teensy bit more and maybe hit it when I got the fourth just now if I could have dropped my potions then reclaimed them.

Use 4 rogues. It's basically an easy game once you get past the first or second level (use potions for those, after that you won't need any).

Replenishment is like, "Regenerate X% of health and power at the end of each battle." It's really powerful. Ring of Boundless Energy has 100% replenishment, for example.
There is a guide somewhere on the forums that tells you what the mysterious altars do.

The blue orbs give you random enchantment things.
By the way does anyone know what Replenishment is for? I don't want to waste it because it's purple, but I don't have a clue as to what it does

warrior (overwhelm, bloodlust), barbarian (boast, last stand, whirlwind), cleric (heal all, purify, fervor), mage (lightning storm, flickering flames, power siphon).
passives: leadrship, spell mastery, vengance, wrath.
a little practice, a LOT of artifacts, and you should be good to go.

Ended up with 3 rogues (front row) and ranger (back row). Rogues: +1 str, end, and int, and +1 poisoncraft each time. Ranger: +1 dex, end, int each time, pin, envenom arrow, and rest into creature lore.

its a badge which lets you travel to the shop for free, no more scrolls needed basically. Useful but not all that, I guess it means you never have to discard anything...makes life easier.

Good concept, terrible way of going about it. Losing a single battle or using a helpful shrine takes away so much, it's hardly worth playing on. Also takes way too much time looking at items and figuring out what you want to do. Sometimes spend more time looking for items than actually playing, which makes no sense :/ Overall I'd rate 2/5 for it's huge downfalls.

Its slightly hard to start actually...I keep encountering 5 or 6 enemy groups, blah. Looks like I won't be doing this without a cleric. Might be up to just total chance if you go without.

@erikthebrave: it depends on how many journey stone fragments you have. you need to kill fearsowers to get them. they are on every level.
portal scrolls are dropped on every odd numbered level.

Scrolls that teleport to the shop need to be more readily available. The difficulty takes too much of a slippery slope if you lose even a single battle, purely because of the loss of gear.

erik: I think that it is endless. I am on level 50.
person1999. It takes 2 hands to wield (so you cannot dual wield, or use a shield or a censor)

Good combo I just found out (Good with bosses that can't be stunned). You need to have a rogue, mage, and warrior. First, get your rogue to use the "Cripple" skill and lower an enemy's quickness down to 0. Then, get your mage to use the "Anoint" skill to increase your warrior's damage by 175%. Finally, use the overwhelm skill on the same enemy that you used Cripple on. Overwhelm = Melee Damage(X3). I used it on the last boss and killed it before it could attack me. The Alliance of Evil was even scarier than it. :DD

I found the Book of Dread itself. I was kind of hoping it would have some really cool powers, but so far it doesn't seem to have anything special to it.

cool game! ah, i found another interesting game! it`s kind of a real life simulation. you can work and fight in wars there, get involved in politics or build up your own company for example! just use my link if you want to join: http://www.erepublik.com/en/referrer/slowmo to get you a good start: the first things you need to do there are: get a job in a company and work there, upload an avatar and after you did that train to raise your strength. Then buy some food and login again at the next day. At the begin you have not much possibilities to be honest BUT: Every level you gain you have more possibilities! by the way, the power of the countries depends on their citizens, so join and support your country! For example at the moment there is a huge war between Hungary/Russia/Indonesia/Serbia/France/UK and some other allies against USA/Croatia/Canada/Poland/Sweden!
