I'm trying to load up the game and just as it gets to the end it says that the game cannot finish loading and that the culprit is likely my flash version, so I go and upgrade my flash yet I'm still getting the "unable to finish loading" error with the latest flash and latest IE.
Ideas?

Warrior, Cleric, Mage, Ranger... nice mix.. maxed quickness on ranger, damage reflection on mage, tanked cleric and warrior with armor and endurance... only on to die quick ofter was mage but i had him on the front lines and he did a heck of alot of damage... i won't play anymore since i got the lvl 50 badge but it was enjoyable.... thanks

sage880, i'm beating hardcore easily with 1 cleric (max endurance) in front and 3 mages in back (max intelect). the strategy in the first levels is just to use cleric as tank while mages level up and get electrical storm and cosmic prison (for emergencies). later u just kill everything after 1 round of electrical storms so ull eventually switch to life regen and later to quickness.
some comments suggest 4 mages since u would only get items that work for you (in "my" strategy u get 1/3 heavy items for cleric only, and 1/3 medium items that is pure waste). it proly should work if 1 of the mages replaces cleric and maxes endurance to "tank" (and u would eventually need to actually use potions much more often, but later levels will be walk in the park)

very good. i agree with some people how the equipment management is tedious. could be better maybe if there was an experience system on top of the current leveling progression. maybe a shop or something would be good, as would allowing characters to use some potions in combat.
yeah i know it'd probably screw up game balance and whatnot, but if nothing else, i'd like to see a shop.

Having trouble in Hardcore. The best I've done so far is with 3 rangers and 1 rougue. Pin everyone with rangers and then use coup de grace with rougue. Anyone got a better strat for hardcore because that didn't get me to 50! =)

Very fun game! 10/10 for sure...Kinda reminds me of a game for PS2 Champions of Norath...Very good game beat it with a warrior/mage/rouge/ranger
warrior has 42% insta kill nice nice

Also, i´ve found a team of 2 rouges, mage and a cleric good.
With 2 rouges beating the Corrupter is childs play. With clerics healing, it´s quite hard to loose simple battles.

There's a rather dirty trick you can do with two rogues if you want: just focus on attack power, and get one rogue the Hide skill and the other the Create Opening skill. when one is hiding, the other can sue Create Opening to instantly get the 200% damage bonus attack from the other rogue. and then, the other rogue can still get to use their next turn for whatever attack they desire (the 200% bonus only works for one attack, so it is cancelled then). a fairly cheap way to get two rogues to do the equivalent of four in one turn.

Finally... Fighter, cleric, ranger & mage. Getting quickness above 60 or 65 and you will go first every time. Greeblers have 65.

Waaayyy too fucking tedious with equipment micromanagement. For playabilty sake, you should just pretend we have a bag of holding and allow infinite equipment capacity.

Even if this is a "rip off" of fast crawl... it is a GREAT game... and it looks like HE made it? if he took the code of fastcrawl and used it then it is a "rip off" HE MADE THIS GAME... Think about it... how many SONIC games are there? or MARIO... or Final Fantasy-ish games...

i havent actually tried this, but anyone tell me if it'll work?
mage casts the prison spell to stun enemy
then rouge uses coup de grace to instant kill?

Decent game...it is very tedious to have to update your equipment every few rooms...I like that there are a lot of different options, but a "best equip" button would do wonders for the game rating.

Just got to lvl 50, this has been teh easier "imposible" badge i have done. the game is cool but its too easy. Dont read more if you dont want to know how i did it: just took four rangers and got them as much dexterity as i could, forget about leather armor, just take items that have kill %, stun %, quickness (at least have 65 in each character), weapon damage, mana regeneration. Armor its just pointless.

followed the advice from someone in the comments, and started on hard with 2 clerics, 1 mage and 1 ranger. Perfect combo! Use swiftness for +20 quickness on all, then use nature's balm on the clerics in the front row, use holy light on the enemies, and for long battles give everyone nature's balm (health regen +100% poison resistance). This way you can forget the items with poison res and focus on other things. on level3 now, with ease..

I tried Fast Crawl after reading about it from comments here. Both games remind me a bit of Ultima Underworld. There are only so many ways to traverse through a dungeon. I like this MD better than FC, much better interface. Any chance of an offline version to play when away from the net?

One Rogue and 3 Rangers are pretty good — the only problem is numerous dying of the Rogue in long battles. Armor class is useless all you need is damage, good quickness and secondary effects like stun and instant kill.

this game is hard at the beggining but when you got to lvl 10 onwards its very easy.. so when your just starting dont fight them.. thats my strategy

Garin, It's true that games are built on the backs of others, but credit should be given where credit is due.
I'm sorry for my initial comment, at first glance your game appeared to be nothing but a stripped down flash version of FastCrawl. (It annoyed me like the nintendo version of Tetris)
After playing your game more I can see how you changed the original idea by removing features and expanding the stats system.
Your game is a great work, but I believe that indie developers should support each other and draw attention to each others works.
If anybody is interested in FastCrawl they should at least check out the demo at http://www.pawleyscape.com/fastcrawl/

I just completed the Impossible badge, The game is quite fun but definitely repetitive after you complete the first 9 levels. Its still one of the best Flash hack and slash games, simple and rogue-like.
my party was C C Ra M, with the Cs acting like Fighters. most important items attributes for me were Speed, Accuracy, Damage, + heal, Stun Def, poison def. I only added stats to damage stat x2 and end. damage reflection is not needed, and its a burden for the corruptor. speed of 61+ is best, Cs use censers of speed no shield. accuracy should be 110%ish and for the Ra as high as possible, i had 140% in the end, as his hail of arrows is godly for secondary effects, and prowess can take out 75% of a creature boss in one shot. 2 Cs = 2 fervor and that is a good thing.
great job

hmmm, hard badge is... hard!
Tried a lot of combinations of characters, and none of them seem to last very long...
Even the one on some pages before, 1 warrior 3 mages is not doing well. As you stack the warrior with lots of armor, his quickness goes down so when he is ready to use shield wall, the mages are dead or heavily poisoned :) Tried it with 4 clerics, 2 warriors 2 clerics, etc.etc... Hard! Finally a real challenge for a hard badge :)

This right here is a great game and all, I liked the weapon variety, and skill choices (and the fact that you can still survive with just about any team). However, I must say that it gets easier and easier as you progress through the levels, it is for this reason that I am only rating it a 3/5. Had it gotten harder as it went on, my rating would be higher.
PS: Don't blame ya, for muting Stormcrow.

Alright, this is getting a bit ridiculous. Let me nip this shocking expose in the bud.
I'm aware of FastCrawl, obviously. It's a good game, albeit one with a different focus to mine. I wanted to do something in the same genre, and put my own spin on it. There's absolutely nothing shameful or unethical about this: almost every game is a synthesis or refinement of games that have come before. We're all standing on the shoulders of giants here, and I think it's a little misguided to hold up FastCrawl as a beacon of originality. It borrows its combat system from Disciples (which is one of my favorite games, and why I made a similar choice.)
The list of things in my game which are not in FastCrawl is much longer than the opposite list. We share no art or sounds, and the few types of monster that are in both games are just generic fantasy creatures. When people start throwing around words like "rip-off", it irks me a little.
