You didn't explain the rules behind the snakes' turning... Aren't they allowed to make 2 turns the same way right after eachother, or are the snakes not allowed to have 2 pieces of body nest to eachother if they aren't directly connected?
Strictly speaking, the rule is they can't have two pieces of body next to each other. But in practice, it's the same thing as not doubling back. They can only touch themselves if they double back, OR if they completely surround another snake. Since they are never shorter than 2 or longer than 9 in the current set of puzzles, they can never surround another snake! But the main reason the rule is there is that if they could double back, they could fit in different ways into a rectangle, and puzzles with one solution would be hard to make. As the rules stand, they have to wrap around each other, ans the interaction limits the number of solutions and makes for more interesting puzzles.

omg each new tier has 100 levels, it seems. This is quite a challenge. I hope you autogenerated the levels somehow rather than making them by hand.
Yes! I made some by hand when I thought of the concept, but after that I made a program to auto-generate them.
