My strategy is to have 1 warrior tanking in front(Armory of choice: ALL into Ironskin Shield, only invest 1 point in Bloddrage Trinket), 4 to 1 priest(Armory of choice: ALL into Mystical Cape, only invest 1 point into Divine Book), 1 to 4 paladin(Armory of choice: ALL into Banner of the Knight)
For earlier game when the bonus of Banner of the Knight is not much, use 1 warrior and 1 paladin, make others into priest, when you have higher bonus in Banner of the Knight slowly switch from priest to paladin, until finally you have 1 warrior, 1 priest and other else paladin
p/s: that's just my strategy, not optimal game play

just like all games I've played before (and I'll admit it's not very many, but more than a few), Warriors are OverPowered, but synchronize with other classes. Having two warriors in front and spending your first gold on them is an awesome tactic, but the Upward Climber badge cannot be achieved in a day. As I type, this is around a month of playing, and I got it today.

Simsler: it's doing that because that's more efficient than using higher layers. Layers 1-4 will get you to layer 30 and beyond, as long as you unlock the higher layers manually. Low layers are your engine, building up to bigger and bigger numbers. High layers contain floor skip upgrades (and other upgrades that basically don't matter).

I need help please: The auto-buyer stops at prestige-level 4. Everything is enabled up to level 12. Why does the auto-buyer not buy prestige of higher levels?

For a game that has pretty much nothing to do, it sure is hostile to doing nothing. I left the game open while I took a short break, and when I came back it was racking up offline time. Who benefits from this? I wouldn't have even played for 5 minutes if it didn't have a quest badge.

@joeyjoey90: When I first played this genre of game I also was very confused. In this game genre you are SUPPOSED to die, so it is the complete opposite of perma-death genre games. The point of these game genre is to send an expendable person or team out, they beat some enemies, die, and either through a time loop or sending information back to your reserve characters they "learn" and become stronger and attack again, usually beating the original enemies extremely quickly. So this game genre also generally overlaps with the idle game genre so you let your characters go on the next run and only have to actually play when it gets hard again.

Again? Really? I come back and have to wait 10 minutes just to be able to restore my offline progress, not only that but I have to actively be in the same menu. Seemingly no info on half of the stats. The scaling on this game makes no sense, as after you die you have to restart from floor 1 up. You oneshot half of them anyways and it's just a tedious game of taking turns. How did they manage to mess up a game you don't have to play? Holy hell this game is boring.

Best way to get to floor 100: after unlocking Blessed:
1 Warrior as tank - as many clerics as possible - 1 ranger.
focus primarily on armor for warrior.

@Saifi2013 the class of heroes is defined by the balance of stats they have. Like, if you want your hero to be a ranger, put more stats in "Damage" and he will naturally become one.

GameTommy, I remember when there was no preview of a week's BotD. You had to HOPE you had whatever ones they implemented that week. Once in a while, there would be a Hard (maybe Impossible) badge on a day for BotD that obviously would have had to take far longer than the day you'd have to get it, even if started just after midnight.

Probably the worst botd pick of the week, this game is sloooow 3 days in an not even close to the "medium "achievement" almost immediately the numbers become so large it seems stupid. Great game if you want to waste your time on pointless trash this is it!

something is odd with the (cloud or local?) autosave. I unlocked the 6th hero yesterday and played with it some time. But every time I load I get set back to the 5 heros I had before yesterday.

Some people are complaining about this game being too hard for a medium badge. It is a medium badge... if you start on it on Monday. Kongregate does occasionally have time consuming idle game badges on Friday-Sunday, and this is DEFINITELY an idle game. If you played for 10 minutes each day Monday-Thursday, you should easily reach level 100 today. If you waited until today to check the BotD though... then yeah, this is going to be VERY hard. I can only suggest doing what myself and others have been doing for years and that is always check on Monday every BotD for the entire week and work on any idle games on Monday so you'll be done by the time the respective day arrives that you need to have the badge done for.

A little too late, but 1 warrior as tank (mostly health), 4 clerics (only healing) and 1 ranger (only damage) works wonders.

how do you expect me to get to level 100 in a day. alot of the games this week for BOTD have sucked and now so does this one. now I have to grind this game all day just for some crappy badge

This game getting 3.9 stars is crazy. This is the most bare bones RPG. Taking all the fun parts out of it and adding prestiging mechanics to try to make up for it.
