@Rpilr - it's possible to ascend in a week, so you need to most likely check your autobuyer settings (and maybe the composition of your team). Refer to the basic guide on Steam. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2208459897

@Firien: that's what I meant, the game is balanced in such a way that auto-prestiging after 4 layer is almost never worth it. I am on prestige layer 18 right now and most of my layers go untouched most of the time.
Anyways, can't wait to see what Ascension is like, I suppose it will be like a prestige but even more crazy, like resetting your armory and your heroes. I could search for it online but I rather keep it unspoiled until I reach it, I am at 82% for ascension so I should not be too far.

@Rackox: check the prestige settings, see info > dut buyers > gameplay tips. You don't want to prestige high levels often - it slows you down, as it reduces the stats so enormously at the lower prestige levels. The pattern is consistent - multiple prestige-1 before a prestige-2, mutiple times 2 before a single 3, etc - it ends up faster as the higher stats at the P1 level generate so much extra xp at once.

What's the benefit of Prestige Layer 2? The description does a poor job of outlying the benefit of it, and notably seems to include a loss of Prestige on the base level.

auto-prestige won't prestige past layer 4 for me. I think there's a loop where you can't ever prestige past a certain layer if you use the preset "Biggest stat gain on small floor change". I would gain ee5.64 on layer 5 if I were to prestige but I guess it's not worth it for the biggest stat gain algorithm.
On that note... what is ee5.64 supposed to mean? 10^10^5.64? That's some big heavy number if that's what it really means. I guess I am nearing stupidly big numbers like the Googolplex, which would then be written ee100 or eee2 if this is indeed how the game is compacting these numbers.

So I was finally able to prestige. It seems it didn't cost points. I just read the instructions and it says "After this, your first “big” goal is to get your team to level 100. At this point you’ll unlock the first prestige layer." Then it says you prestige "for" points. Which I thought we were using in a cost sense. Just really bad instructions.

@faylinameir: That would be pretty useless. You are supposed to be able to react during the "catch up" time. If you just idly sit there waiting for it to end, then you are wasting plenty of precious time.

I started with a paladin and my second hero was a cleric. I nursed it to Lv.16 or so, enough to buy a weapon for both heroes. I left it to idle for about 45min and was ready to prestige. Total time was maybe an hour. If it took longer than that, I'd guess you didn't put points in healing or armor, one or both. Or maybe too much in healing and not enough in damage. You can absolutely prestige in ~1hr or less.

I wish there were an option to re-order the party (since enemies seem to only attack the rightmost member) without restarting.

@Redflametrow - I have no idea what you're doing. I started a new game just now, and it took me 41 minutes to prestige for the first time.

3 hours into an easy badge of the day. Doesn't seem like it's happening in the next 8.5 hours. If starting now, give up.

I only have the easy badges done, here is my save https://file.io/cwAh1zcBlDRV You may need to rename the file to have a .txt file format to read it

Quick status update: There appears to have been a short (30~60 minutes) outage in the Cloud Save service provided by Microsoft Azure, causing the game not to load. This has been the first outage in years, and by not completing the load, the game ensured your save wouldn't be lost in this process. The issue appears to have been resolved by Microsoft, although the speed of this rollout may take a little longer for some regions. In the meantime, thank you for the reports, and apologies for the inconvenience. If their fix has reached all regions, you should be able to continue playing as soon as you reload the page.

This is not a game. This is a gameplay and balance tester for a game before adding the graphics and sound effects and music.

@TravisGreen - once you configure your first hero, there should be a Start Game button that appears at the bottom. It's necessary to use all the available stats for this to happen.

@Wariat117 Do you have "Leaderboard" enabled in the settings? I turned that setting on and got the badge on my next PL2.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I am slightly confused that the progress bar for the "Upward Climber Badge" only goes up to 2 when you have 100 floors to climb? Having got to floor 25 I'm at 1 on the progress bar?

For those struggling with Highroller, you can just skip it for now and get 1 point in AL2. After recovery you have enough stats to make remaining AL1 challenges trivial.

god i love this game but it takes a longgg time. i have one paladin focused on health, and 3 rangers focused on damage. basically not min-max
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Now I tried WPPPPP, but that seems to be even slower. And weirdly enough, none of the PLs seem to auto-prestige. I have to manually prestige all of them, despite having set up the auto-buyers.

Now, I am giving Highroller another shot, but t's just as painfully slow as before. Already at PL11 it comes to a crawl. The strange thing is that it seemingly DOES auto-prestige at PL1, as the stats do go up. So, I really don't understand what's slowing me down. Without the trial, I just easily got to PL41 and could go on and on. I set PL3-6 to 4/3/2/x as the Steam guide says. The other PL autobuyers remain at default. Or do I need to do anything specific with them as well? I also buy the soft-prestige for each PL. Maybe it's my team composition? Though it's also as recommended in the Steam guide: WWRRRP.
