@raxmax - you're the person who suggested having a team of all warriors. If you're still doing that even after ascension, you're going to progress way too slowly.

@thriveon35k - only thing I forgot to mention. Make sure the speed upgrades are unlocked (I think they need to be unlocked? I can't remember for sure) in the armory for the Warrior, Ranger, and Cleric just in case you haven't done so.

@rockydennis - Thank you for the tip! I had been working with WPPPPP but changed to the WRRCPP that you recommended. It does seem to be working more quickly and still one-hit per level. I think it also is a bit quicker. I think I'll ascend before getting to Heirloom of Legends this time around.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@thriveon35k - what's suggested, starting around AL15, and I quote from the guide, is "for runs lasting less than 23 seconds, use WRRCPP. For runs lasting over 23 seconds, use WWRRRP. Once you can afford the heirloom of legends, purchase it, and then you can use various rearrangements of these compositions that no longer require a warrior at the front." A run is from floor 0 until you prestige. Truthfully, I wasn't in the mood to constantly change my team. A single Ranger with lots of Paladins to boost stats is fine though until you Ascend, but after that, you're going to want to experiment with the team having a variety of different heroes for their different speed bonuses. That's more important than having lots of Paladins for their Morale.

After getting the Heirloom of Legends, is the best team ranger out front with paladins? I've been using the warrior with paladins this far. Would it be useful to toss in a cleric and warrior/ranger to get the unity bonus or just stick with all paladins for the morale boost?

@Rpilr - if you're going to cheat, at least make it seem remotely possible, instead of going for something absurd and then bragging about it.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Rpilr - it's amazing that you Ascended on Nov 29th, and less than six weeks later, you're on Transcension level 8. You truly are a great.... cheater. There's no zero doubt about that.

@Konlas3190 Thank you for the guidance! I'll make sure to adjust my settings for the biggest stat gain on a small floor change, and I'll check Prestige, tap Autobuyers, and load the second one to earn the Ascend for the first time Hard Badge. Appreciate the help!

Perhaps there could be improvements to the healing AI to prioritize the team's survival over dealing damage. Have you considered providing feedback to the game developers about this issue? It might help them enhance the overall gameplay experience.

Pro tip: If you're having difficulty getting a badge in an idle game, and it feels like the game has slowed to a crawl, try using the core mechanic of idle games: prestige/reset/rebirth/ascension/exile/whatever. The impression I get from some of these comments is that people tried to get to floor 100 without prestiging, which is masochistic.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Why did I get downvoted for my previous comments? I said I hated the game, but all the top comments hate on the game too and get lots of upvotes.

Pro tip: Don't admit to cheating in case Kongregate finds out and gets angry. But yeah, to get the BOTD in a few hours, you basically have to cheat, because you need to be like level 10 QUADRILLION to be able to reach floor 100 because each floor becomes exponentially harder.

First time I ever used a cheat system to get a badge.
Thank you Olinser for telling me to google 'incremental adventures save editor'. It worked very easily.

Four hours in after unlocking Prestige level two...I saw that there was just another Prestige level. Yeahhh, I'm over this.

Spoiler - Easy BoTD TACTIC:
Okay, figured it out and tested now. It works without even prestige bonus. The key here is that blessed is kind of OP. Play the game normally until you buy blessed for Cleric. I also had warrior damage taken (1/2), it helps but I don't think it is required for the tactic.
Next up, following tactic gives you BoTD (ie: medium badge/100 floors)
My build was 1 warrior max hp in front. as many clerics as possible (4 in my case) with max healing, 1 ranger but with MIN damage, basically with a single damage stat and rest unspent. (If I didn't put at least one ranger, clerics started attacking instead of aimlessly healing. By adding a ranger we force them to heal constantly, therefore buffing everyone infinitely with the blessing)
That way, I was able to get from floor 1 to 100.

Yeah this game is idiotic and ridiculous. To get it 'legitimately' on a Monday with no warning is nearly impossible.
Thankfully if you google 'incremental adventures save editor', you can get it in a couple minutes.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
oh realized, you don't even need warrior damage taken,
I think the easiest way to get to level 100 is first get blessed for cleric. then put 1 warrior with max hp, keep the rest as clerics with max healing. You probably won't even need to prestige afterwards.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
After cleric blessed and warrior damage taken, 1 warrior max hp + 1 ranger max dmg + rest clerics max healing was my fav combo.

Everyone who rated this 4 or 5 stars must LOVE Raid: Shadow Legends too. At least that game has pretty good graphics, music and sound effects and moves you can choose and some random story while still having autobattle like this game. But that game is widely hated. Why not this game?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
What's the point of armor? You can get 4 times as much healing than armor for the same stat point. Instead of blocking the damage, you can just take the damage and heal it. If less damage was done, you actually gain HP. With armor, if you have more than the enemy's damage, you gain nothing. Why even have armor?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Every playthrough I get through 1 more floor. After that I have to wait through the slow battles again. What an absolute drag. No active gameplay, no different attacks, no abilities, no graphics, no music, no sound effects, no story, slow progression at first (it does get high later on because it's an incremental game). World's worst game. To be fair, it's actually a true idle game since there's nothing to do but wait until you either die or decide to start over with higher stats or another team member because you know you aren't getting far into the dungeon anyway.

Another game that Kongregate throws under the bus because its not possible for most people to attain on a Monday. Who is making the decisions on these games for the badge Kong? Seems like you're just pulling badges to achieve out of a hat. This is sad and disappointing.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
If you're just here for the hateful badge of the "day" where Kong ruins everything fun for the holidays, I highly recommend Googling "Incremental Adventures Save Editor" If this badge takes as long as others have said, this might be the only way to actually make it a badge of the *day*

This is the most basic form of RPG. You have HP, damage, armor and healing and attack enemies automatically. The strategy is deciding which stat distribution is best. That's it. No active gameplay, just waiting. Gameplay: 1/5. No graphics at all. Graphics: 1/5. No sound at all. Sound: 1/5. No story at all. Story: 1/5. This is quite literally and objectively the worst RPG of all time. At least Loop Loop Loot made you choose which equipment to choose and it had graphics, albeit bad graphics, but graphics nonetheless. This game has 1.5 million plays for the worst RPG of all time. Congratulations. With how slow the game is, I don't get how the numbers could ever reach 10^10,000. Isn't there a speed multiplier that I can select?

Another game that makes up for the lack of effort put in by having multiple levels of time wasting. First you prestige. Apparently that's easy. Then you ascend. I guess by that time you prestiged many times. Then at the end you can transcend. I guess you ascended many times before you do that since it's an impossible badge. I don't even want to know how many hours you'd have to waste before earning that badge. Or you could spend the time it takes to earn that badge by working for minimum wage and become a millionaire in the meantime.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
This is even worse than DPS IDLE. They have completely given up on everything. No gameplay beside just waiting. No graphics at all. Not even enemy names. The complete opposite of everything that makes a good game. The only thing it has is high numbers because according to the Info tab, the numbers can get over 1e10,000. They had to come up with a different way to write the numbers because otherwise that number would get too large.
