The Gold-Generating Machine only gives 20, 60, 20+20 or 20+60 bits of gold at the end of the day for some days (most?) not a massive amount. Near the end of the game there are people asking you for thousand gold, and I had to turn them down every time, mostly due to funds.

i sent the knight on the quest and he said he came back with nothing and asked if he could show himself to the dungeon i accidently said yes and for that i reset the entire game even though i was doing so good

money is nice. people are nice. happiness is nice. now to find the way to get all three things without seriously jeoperdizing any of them, becuase somehow happiness determines population, which gives you more opportunites for gold, which determines whether you will succeed in life.
