I love these kind of games. :P Has much deep meaning more than any game could really hold and actually makes it more worth than it actually is. Only gets ruined when a fly has to fly by and land on your screen.

It was kinda scary for me while playing. The zebra scared me because a sentence popped out saying: THEY ARE ALWAYS WATCHING YOU. I thought they were watching me right at that moment through the zebras eye.

The fact that you can beat the game without the scanner is an analogy for going through life with out questioning, or perhaps the scanner represent introspection? In either case it really is ingenious to allow the player to beat the game without it. Just like real life.

Needs a badge for scanning all the barcodes... Or maybe something else. Anyway, I think this game needs a way of making people scan the barcodes. People who don't are really missing out :)

Odd little game. I like how you can go through the whole thing without the scanner (it's only use is in letting you know the weak point in the wall - which is only weak if the light shines on it!).

I see. Same way you solve the puzzle to get the key, you do the same on the computer, and get the scanner. If you break the wall before getting the scanner you won't get 30/30.
Think about the ending, and the meaning of the bars becomes clear. Alas, given the Stone's quote, I wonder if this isn't just as the ending implies, but rather deeper than that: hell. It would seem that 'The man of wealth and taste' could well be tormenting your soul with bar codes and lies. The deceiver, right? Everything I tell you is a lie?

For those who don't understand the ending the man insane. the point is the he sees the world in black and white bars. I think with saying that the rest is pretty self-explanatory.

Ok, I scanned the couch. And the bathroom tiles. Don’t judge me.
Most of the real looking barcodes actually read 06991982 (naaah, don’t ask how I did that)
(possible spoiler:) I’m sorry but using the knife on the… Animal and the pills on the… plastic shape made much MUCH more sense.

Ahhh, I love these games, the escape games, they make you think, and just in the puzzle itself but, the character and the backstory. The genre is brilliant as it is. And this hit my top 5!

I am blown away, the setting is very impressive. One of the few actual surprise endings I've ever seen from a game; at no point in time did I suspect that there was anything going on, but an uncouth youth such as myself lazying his way through life, not knowing when the last time he'd gotten off of the couch was. Also a lot to explore so you can actually play it without seeing everything the first time, unlike most point and clicks.

@2342 you have to beat the game on the computer first before you get mail. click on the colored circles in order: red, green, blue, cyan, magenta, and yellow. the first letter of each color in correct sequence is on a sheet of paper next to the computer.

You know, a lot of these messages remind me of the book 1984. Particularly the ones involving the mind. "THE BRAIN IS THE CENTER OF ALL REBELLION." in particular makes me think of thoughtcrimes.
