It's not that I don't like the game.. And I haven't finished the game, so it may change later.. But it says it's an exciting spin on turn based RPGs. I'm really not seeing anything different from standard final fantasy combat, aside from having only one character. Being completely unable to influence the development of my character also doesn't help.
being able to upgrade your character is something we are working on for the sequel - thanks for your review! we really hope you like Limit Break level 3....

PROs: (1) Voiced storyline. (2) Great music. CONs: (1) No way to know which beast is weak to physical/magical attack except by trial and error (2) No skill/attribute system (3) No class system like warrior/rogue/magician that can have different types of skills. (4) Bugs. the guy attacks even after the beast is dead if his turn comes quickly after they die of poison, PLUS the turn timer automatically slows down or speeds up,etc. (5) No concept of potions. (6) Balance issues with skills like rage. (6) There should be some story after every few levels or areas to keep the player interested, otherwise its just repeat battles. (7)The third battle in the desert totally skipped the last wave and proceeded to battle end victory......
All in all, the game was fun but could use debugging and a bit more detailing.

I thought I would like the game with the material drops and a system for forging new equipment. Turned out that I can only "buy" swords and that I hardly even need them.

game bugged, the last bos was boring, just keeped healing my self when ever my hp dropped below 1500 and hit it for minutes. When finally it's hp dropped to below 8000 my attack bar stopped working and he beat me to death.

there are 2 super spells: poison(hell thorn) and frenzy. poison deals incredible damage to bosses, you have just to block and heal, poison kills anything; frenzy allows you to attack 10 times stronger and 10 times faster, you just have to use it 10-15 times to kill a final boss in 6-7 hits

It feels like Landslide gets stronger each time you use it, my landslide is currently doing about 24000 damage, versus Phoenix Strike only doing about 7000.

Something's wrong with penitau. My attack bar stops moving. Not sure if it's a bug or an ability he has but it's kinda lame

Good game, most bugs have been mentioned already, specially the frenzy and slow bug reversing when done. Also noticed that weapon shatter and armor shatter stays on and stacks from fight to fight, even after esuna or equipment fix, even continue to new map locations. armor shatter effects poison damage also :). Quitting to main menu and loading game seems reset the stats, making my damage of landslide go back from 7 dmg to 600 dmg again :)

When I started redoing a few maps, I ended up being invisible... No idea how to get it back. Maybe it'll fix itself if I reload, although it's a bit annoying.

Fun game. Minor issues - pretty easy. Let's just say I would have to work to get the 'Die' achievement. Restore mana is OP. Rockslide is a much better option than phoenix strike. Why would I spend double the mana for a 15% increase in damage? I hit one glitch where I couldn't select any option but heal. Eventually my rage bar filled and I was able to move on. Don't know what caused it, can't get it to repeat.

I loved the game, it's soundtrack is very good and I liked the graphs too, also the gameplay, but i'm concerned with just one thing...
Why the poison effect is based on the max health? I think it's unnecessary, because that way you can kill any boss easily, for example the final one. My poison hits (17k) were almost stronger than the Phoenix Strike (20k), and I was with the final weapon, Nightmare Sword!

Too buggy for my tastes. The incositent damage of landslide, not being visable after death, Limit breaks not doing full animation, action bars occasionally slowing down/freezing/speeding up, poison just being goofy. And then there is having to learn how to fight the last set of enemies under prestige one. Clean up the game please.

I have to suggest that in the next game you add an option to pause the game when your timer reaches max. Many games that have this timer setup have this option.

Not bad but could be better. later on the regular attack is all but useless and the enemies start to get stronger faster than you do.

We shouldn't be able to get a that powerful mana restore at level 6... The game didn't even start yet and we can like... NEVER USE STANDARD ATTACK AGAIN!!!!

I'm getting an error where when I do a limit break, the final piece of animation remains overlaid on the screen. This is particularly a problem on lvl 3 where I'm left with a pure white screen. Damage will pop up, but I can't see the background, characters, or any of the status effects.

Very fun. Didnt feel too short, considering it was meant as a Prelude. Would love to see more crafted items, like armor, not just weapons. Balancing still needs work, I ran through it 3 times and never died. Had to sit and wait to be killed for the achievement. Also theres a bug that sometimes occurs that stops the action bar from filling, but gameplay still continues. (poison ticks, enemies sometimes still attack, that sort of thing.)

i noticed that the "level 15" achivement was actually unlocked, when i became lvl 16.. didn't look at the other level-achivements though, but maybe ur off by one at some point?

Was doing perfectly fine, until the final boss.... He had, or more rather it had, 10000 hp left (approximate) and then he (or it) decides it would be nice to 1 hit me with full hp...

game is not very balanced, once u get landslide u don't need any other attack and the fastest sword beats all others because sword damage doesn't seem to matter once u got landslide....

Prestige mode does not seem to be balanced well. Enemies are too easy and give far too little experience. Also, there should be new equipment.

Game breaking bug: Buffs/debuffs stack indefinitely. So stacking lots of Frenzy will let you have 10 turns before your enemy even gets one. Powerslice and Landslide get more powerful with each consecutive use on the same enemy.

It was a good game, but really easy, I bought two swords on the entire game and never died. I would have done some more chalenging beasts

Needs some rebalancing. Rage routinely does more damage than powerslice but costs less. Several of the late-middle game weapons aren't really better than things you get sooner. -26% damage +14% with same ailment is speed is not an upgrade for example. It's also not really very clear what the ailments do. Also, xp bar increments WAY too slowly. I don't need to watch the numbers grow for 10+ seconds at a time, but I don't want to skip and not see my levelup gains.

For people having trouble with the bosses, use hell thorn. It basically does massive damage, since it's relative to the opponent's health.

This game is extremely easy by using the fastest sword (dagger) that you can get near the beginning, go into defensive stance and use hellthorn until all your enemies are poisoned. Just use healing on yourself when your hp gets low and attack with hellthorn or any other magic attack. Use mana regen when your mana is low.

What is the point on replaying the game with badass gear and the enemies are the same ? Plus , the game is cool but way to short.

My last 3 comments aside, this is a GREAT GAME. I am rarely pleased these days by new games but this one have all of the good stuff in it ^_^. Please look at my comments as suggestions, and pick and choose the ones you like too.

Another note would be, I would prefer more details in the tooltips, namely damage output, for the abilities, I think its a shame that they out-class the basic attack in such an amount, at the last battle my basic attack would deal 350 damage, and my landslide would go well around 7-8k damage. there is no point in using the basic attack at this stage, likewise is so many old abilities outclassed by new abilities, even if you consider damage per mana.

Nice little game, lacks "gameplay choice", I hardly ever have resources for these weapons unless I redo battles. I would recommend for the next game an armour crafting table (that would increase choice, since you can now choose to use your resources on armour or weapons), slightly lower cost on crafting, and also I would recommend some kind of skill-tree so I can choose my abilities instead of being handed a select few, making ME in command of character progression instead of being handed a generic progression.

You can stack frenzy atleast 5 times (I stopped there due to the next bug mentioned), when frenzy stops having an effect your speed will go down and you will be slower for the rest of the battle, you can also stack "Slow" atleast twice, in which point the enemy speed-bar stops moving whatsoever, several more stacks of slow just doesn't affect him after that. http://img17.imageshack.us/img17/959/stackingslow.jpg Here is a screenshot of 3 slows, and 3 frenzy stacks showing, more frenzy stacks works, but doesn't show with an icon.

not sure if intended, but frenzy speeds your character up. Stack like 10 frenzies, and you take 5 turns for every turn the enemy takes. And deal 10k plus damage on anyting icestorm and up

Definely got some refresh bug issue with the break skills sometimes doesn't clear the graphics. Has caused me to freeze twice. pretty solid base engine otherwise. The damage from the skills dont' seem to level very well yet. Some things start great and then just stop realy increasing.
