Enemies have too many advantages. Main one being that they can block allmost all of the time and the players cannot block at all. Also if you are attacked while rolling you instantly stop rolling where as enemies take no damage while rolling, or at least don't stop rolling.

Gets boring with time, BUT (there is always a but :D) You should get all respect for making a game which had no plot at all, but still was kind of bad-assed :D

Ok... heres my first plot theory. This guy is insane and one day the local villagers bust down the door to his house. He kills them all, leaves the house and the whole neighborhood tries to kill him, after that he kills anyone he sees.

This game had so much potential. To fix it up I'd say take the ideas from DragonArcherZ, and add in these other fixes.
1. Give us a guard button, and/or fix kick so it's a fast interrupt. I've got a sword for damage, give me a useful kick attack instead of what it is now.
2. Knock back should be on weapons, maybe even just some of them once leveled up, not on the kick.
3. Controls need some work, my character doing the action I'm pressing the button for shouldn't have the same chance of working as a coin toss and I hate getting hit because instead of turning and attacking my character just attacked facing the wrong way.
4. Fix up the attacks, for example the down + attack. Do not, repeat, DO NOT make me attack a different direction every other attack AND wait for it without it either being some effect of a specialty weapon or something and informing the player BEFORE they wind up finding out as their character swings at nothing behind them with multiple enemies in their face.

Wasn't there a game exactly like this one, except with better graphics, enemies and less "repetition"? Enemies dropped little "balls" and there were boxes we could destroy.

Wow, I like the concept, and nice execution, but it defenitely gets repetitive, and needs more things to buy. What I'd also like is maybe instead of just 2 or 3 enemies, like 10 enemies that are weaklings but quick, and you have to actually use your techniques to avoid a horde of weaklings - sure they're weak but it's hard to fight back if you get surrounded by them. Maybe like a primary and secondary weapon, and possibly equip several skills. Maybe RPG elements like leveling up, and maybe not just swords/spears, say morningstars or something and maybe bows - slow, and has to take time to swap weapons but dishes out decent damage and ranged or something. Maybe if possible instead of a still background that just changes eveyr level, maybe something interactive, like say for a river, you move slower if your in water.

I love the action on this game... but i don't like the backround that good. and also if they put other characters and badges. 3/5.

Love the animations. However I found the gameplay a little repetitive and the controls slow to respond. Got all the gumballs I could eat just standing on the boxes at the right of each screen, holding the down arrow key and D. The dudes just walked right into my sword thrusts. :)

@Quimper, the reason your heal doesnt work is probly because you are at full health. It's designed to only let you heal if you are missing hp so you dont waste magic

This is an eugh game. For one, the enemy can block and you can't. If a player can't do a basic skill that the com can, there's something wrong. @Killbill24, if you want achievements, did you know that there's an entire tab on the game sorting page that shows achievements? Instead of whining about a new game not having any, how about you take the time to search for ones that do.

Smooth game. I was playing with a joypad. When tyring to turning around, it's easy to fat-finger "down" and end up dodging backwards instead, which made for a frustrating experience. =/

Did everyone know you can wall jump off the sides of the screen? You just jump towards it , then press the jump button and turn around, and voila! I don't think this is in the instructions, so + so everyone can see

It's really too bad that the gameplay was too repetative. Sure you can dash attack, jump attack, and down attack, but most of the time I found myself just holding down the attack button. The upgrades were also kind of disappointing. Only 1 or 2 upgrades for each thing? I would have also liked rpg elements like leveling up to increase strength, hp, magic etc.

i wish that your enimies would stop trying to surround you gets a little annoying, and i just want them to have a couple of different tactics

At first, I thought the forward+D combo would clear every battle. Later on, I discovered I didn't actually needed to hold forward.
If you're going to make a game that can be played and cleared with one hand, at least fill it up with naked women so I can keep my other hand occupied.

nice game, good effort, needs a little more variety in enemies. and should you give time to pick up gold from the last enemy of each stage... 4/5

Nice job man! How about maybe being able to hold 2 skills instead of one though?
This is an under-rated game that needs to get out 5/5
