OMG I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH. GET EQUIPMENT TENACITY AS SOON AS YOU CAN! IT LETS YOU USE EQUIPMENT YOU DON'T HAVE STATS FOR AT A SLIGHT DECREASE IN THE STATS OF THE ITEM. The stats don't matter, because you can now level up items you wouldn't be able to previously, and get new equipment slots faster.

@nono_boulot - Passive characters only count a percentage for the swarm - 20% with Proof of Rebirth 1, 40% with Proof of Rebirth 2, and 60% with Proof of Rebirth 3. I do not think I completed a 150 until after my first World Ascension 1 (after which it can be /much/ easier).
I think of it an an idle game, since you can gain the resource Nitro Booster when logged out. That said, it is less idly and more active than a number of idle games.

played last month and the biggest problem is : it's called an idle game when it isn't. an idle game don't forced you to play all day long. i found the system interesting, but in the end, you need to be constantly watching what's happening

im at the part where quest farming for mob skill quest, what I did was use rebirth [timing] item and set lvl when I finished quest and add that number by 10, quite accurate actually.. once you add in the quest reward you will get 10 lvls easily, so you can afk quest farm the mob skill quest for d/e rank easily! also need favorite area for this combo/strategy to work though!

@R2dB6q - the game is in active development, or at least it's been updated multiple times in the last week. That said, I have no idea how frequently (or if at all) they plan to update the version on Kongregate.

check (see all) to see my other comments! thought they removed it but guess not heh! as for it being grindy.. just think of it as multi-clienting! play this game while grinding for 3 minutes for items/exp than switch back to here! shouldnt be that hard to do especially with buffs! thats how most players play mmorpgs that have multi-clienting in this generation! or allow it for that matter, wont discuss that here though! for those that have issues/criticisms with this game, hope you find something else do.. like get a life, because the dev wont work on this game anytime soon.. least listen to the playerbase.. I mean dev decided to update this game after a year, when kongregate decided to close off the forums for commenting!

@FrostPaladin - The pet Purple Fox along with Advanced Auto Disassembling Equipment from QoL4 helps with inventory management a lot, from my recollection. As another note, since you can disenchant and re-enchant items, nothing is /unique/ that I'm aware of - though things can be difficult/expensive to make. The main issue I had early-game is realizing that the vast majority of equipment is junk, save for how it helps with quests.
As for your first point, the point of Nitro is to compensate for time offline. Note that without doing enough quests and/or getting Nitro Cap Expansion, the cap will be low. This speaks to your third point as well - I don't think the designer really worries about what happens when the game is in the background. In their minds, the game is at the forefront or closed.

pt 3 serious design flaws;
design: The buffs and big attacks QUICKLY explode in mana usage. SO you can put the game down for several hours and find that due to leveling up a skill, your character can no longer use it... and thus instead of farming they are just stuck dying. It is literally a BAD idea to level Str or Magic buffs beyond about 50 or 60. (maybe this changes later, but for the most part this chokes off all the other abilities) Yet once you buy the increased cap, you are now stuck with an overly high level buff which can't be used due to cost.

pt 2 critique: On a design side, the game quickly become an inventory management chore beyond belief, and there is no way to expand it outside of a couple initial expansions.... yet at the same time we are REQUIRED to go through multiple grinds of re-leveling inventory equipment. Sorry but this is just bad design for a game with hundreds of equipment pieces, situational magic resistances, and random enchants which make many pieces of gear unique. Add MANY more inventory slots.

The game is deeply flawed. On the technical side, when the window is not visible, it does not let the game progress properly (if time advances t all, ti's at about 25% the passage of actual time). SO we constantly have progress stolen as punishment for not keeping the game on top the whole time? It's really not much of an idle game. I'm pissed because I just lost half a day of progress (again) due to the game not running when it is off-screen for ANY reason.

couldnt help myself here but if this game can be played on phone would be great, else buy another laptop and launch game on that than watch videos/research on main computer lol. technology getting cheaper nowadays especially the outdated stuff, but they still work fine lol! thats only if kong is compatible with mobile phones but think im asking for to much here.. maybe in future! not sure about this but if is only program running for a windows user will it work? im thinking it seperates programs if used by another user, but maybe not. if there was way configure it but maybe thats to much. if cant find another way play this game to your preference than rip. least I tried offer a solution but if not work for you find a different game play or do something else. thanks!

there is a bug where ice/thunder net x60 stacks sell for 0 gold lols.. I had the normal spider pet automatically buy nets to, not sure why is doing it but yea.. is not really a grind for me since I play mobile games/take care of health/go out/etc, and this isnt my only computer.

Dear Dev, I can somewhat live with the slow progress of the game, also with the game eating up resources of my device. But please repair the save feature! I hate it losing hours of progress and rare items because I do not want to spam my cloud with tons of IEH-files by saving every minute by hand!

Some skill combos dont work well. Like double slash/sonic slash somehow cant work in magicslime city, so as chilling touch/ice bolt in some area. It works sometimes but not in all areas.

For data: I killed Florzporb between days 9 and 10 using a Wizard LV 100 with a LV 24 Fire Brooch a LV 30 cloth shoes and other mostly ignorable equipment, Staff Attack LV 100, Fire Bolt LV 104, Double Thunder Bolt LV 30. Warrior LV 97 and Angel LV 137 had both rebirth 1ed at least twice. Potion used: LV 13 Basic Elixir of Brains.

@faezzi As for things you /could/ be missing, Area Mission Milestones, Lab Upgrades and Dictionary come to mind as possibilities. Also whatever the next thing is to unlock on the Guild is possible, depending on your guild level. There is also quite a bit of stuff locked behind pets (such as much of the mid-later Guild levels) that may not be obvious at first.

@faezzi - It took me about a month to get through the tutorial, the first time. Simplest way to kill Florzporb is to get more damage. Rebirth 1 and Rebirth 2 should improve your long-term damage by a lot.
The other approach (assuming you are doing /any/ damage) is to avoid all the attacks. Enough extra movement speed should allow you to get close enough for attacking, then dodge out of the way of any of their attacks. This can take a while. Also, you'll need enough defense or offense to deal with any of the smaller slimes with distance attacks (my recollection is that they come out below 20 or 40% of Florzporb's health). Alternatively, you could be very lucky.

well, playing for 15 days now. Got my first badge on day one, my second badge on day 4. Aaaaand that' s it. I don' t see how to progress any further. I' m still in 'tutorial mode' - Can' t beat the blob for tutorial step 11. Pretty sure I' m doing something wrong (or not as good as possible) but it seems grindy af to me.

@ajujem nope; i haven't world ascended yet, so can't go to difficulty 2. It charges just the one orb if i go through the dungeons tabs on the map; it's just if i use the "questing" button that i get charged double.
Note to everyone: "questing" button appears to be bugged for dungeons, make sure to start them through the world map route if you're low on portal orbs.

While I know many people are complaining about the fact that many of the games that are receiving new badges are idle games, I am glad that we are even receiving new badges at all. Additionally, the developers of this game actually update the game, which is rare for a game with badges on this site. While the game is very much a grind, I am enjoying it and I wish that other people would give it a chance too.

@leonshard it seems like we wasted coins as you can only claim the talisman in the steam version. Shouldn't be possible to buy the bribes then...

I'm glad it's not just me. I'm not sure if this is the absolute worst of the recently badged games -- it's crowded at the bottom, unfortunately -- but it's certainly among them, and in the running for the grand booby prize. While I'm glad to see that the (not-so-new) new owners are putting effort and resources into the platform, I wish this weren't the direction they were taking it.

@lisiara It's because you're going from a new version to an old version. Devs just updated Kong, so you should now be able to import the save from steam.

I always play in private window so since The games saves are kept in a temporary cache saved in that browser window AND it will take 30+ days for all badge....nope.

for an idle game, the progression when you close the game sucks, the quest doesn't progress at all, you can't even leave the game open and do other things because then the progress slows seriously.

@Tuberski - the simple answer is to finish the tutorial (under Quest - Global - any named Tutorial X:). You'll need at least 5 WA points, and you may want to be prepared to complete accomplishments shortly after performing the WA (for WA accomplishment points). Are you stuck at any particular step?

@LissyTheArch - Discarding one item from the iventory fooded by the same items resuted in clearing all iventory slots togeter with all equiped items of all active and inactive characters, Then, picking up any item from the battle field stack evaery slot. I got so annoyed by the behaviour that I started the game over. So far so good.
