Yeah thanks m8! that helped a lot. I didn't know about using the disruptors on it so makes sense I was only getting about 30% of its health down.
Really appreciate it.
Thank you, alarson! You're talking about the egg spawns or the fact that the borders aren't solid? Regarding the borders, at first they were solid but my friends would always make the same layout which consisted of 1 large corridor using 1 border. Now that I think, when the borders were solid the barricades used to create tiles around them so you could expand your platforms by stacking walls on the edges, so first I removed the solid borders as a balance thing and then when I removed the barricades ability to create additional platforms I didn't think about bringing them back. I will give it a thought and test something. :o

This game is a real treat - challenging and intelligent. A nice spin on the usual strategy maze games. I would love to see you develop this theme further. Only just made it t level 9 and already i can see this game is dope....
Thank you, Skyvader! :') I will do so after the next project, I just got so burned out on space thingies that I need to revert a bit to medieval fantasy stuff to regain my sanity as a game developer. :)) Thanks again!

Oh I'm sorry m8 I meant level 15.
Thanks for the response though. For 14 I set up two mini turrents on the top left to blast regenerates and funneled a machine gun maze to middle. As long as you nuke the regenerates this strat will work for 14.
Oh, I replied and went to sleep, the trick to kill that boss is to pin it down with harpoons and place disruptors in places where he's stunned. I guess you know about the damage transfer mechanic of the harpoons. MichaelChandra made an optimal layout which looks like this https://i.imgur.com/wrAQKjn.png or superminimalistic as he calls it. :D (spoiler tho)

Man I figured everything out on my own, but I can't get past level 14. I've set up every configuration I can think of and nothing works. I've spent HOURS on it.
Hey, you can try this maze ( https://i.imgur.com/tGLcLPt.png ) on wave 2 stack some more blasters and after wave 3 another mini-me is mandatory. Btw, the harpoon has both upgrades since it is necessary keep the pace with the resonator spawn rate. Hope it helps!
You get the harpoon at level 12 not 9. :o *edit* Oh, I thought you were at the final boss which is level 15, at level 9 is the first boss. To kill that boss you need to use Trigger Plates in order to shock his head and make him open the eyes on it's tail. When the eyes are open they can be damaged by the main turret and mini-me's and deal 25% of the boss max health as damage when destroyed. You must build a medium-large maze with a minimum of 4 trigger plates since you want to make him open his eyes 4 times. Also, make sure the mini-me projectiels won't be blocked by his tail.

Spoiler-alert: Level 7 and 8. For level 8 I placed a trap outside the arena to compensate for 38 free barricades. https://i.imgur.com/Jq89OG0.png And now that I know how to deal with the snake easily, I even managed level 9 with limited barricades and sacrificing a turret to symbolize the money those cost me.
Rofl, btw, do you know you can unlock that achievement on level 1 by placing and selling walls? That wasn't something I intended but thought it's a sneaky way to cheat the system. :o
Hey, you are supposed to use the Trigger Plates to shock his head in order to open the eyes on it's tail. Those eyes are invulnerable when closed but if you manage to kill them while they're open the boss will take @25% max health. Try to make a big maze with Trigger Plates at key points in order to have a clear line between your turret, mini-mes and the eye. Sorry for the late reply.

I like it as a base, but im personally experiencing a major issue with enemies (specifically those lil guys) completely ignoring my walls. I've died a couple times to that, and i just cant seem to progress cuz of it.
Hm, you can try placing the main turret closer to the portal and shoot the eggs since they die in 5 hit, also you can do the opposite and place the turret farther away with a clear line to the portal and shoot them down (they die in 1 hit).

Hello, awesome game! Easily my favorite defense flash game ever- so props to you! Do you have the layout for how to beat level 14? I'm not sure how to
Hey, I can't provide a layout right now since I am at work, sorry. :( I can give you some tips though, use 1 harpoon with the Corect Extractor upgrade for the first 3 waves then place another one for the resonators that get away and on the main defense try to stack blasters and some machine guns at the end of a corridor to chip away the remaining enemies. I usually build a long corridor alongside the right border. Hope it helps.
There is a comment made by MichaelChandra which has a layout example ( https://i.imgur.com/wrAQKjn.png ) kinda spoilerish though. If you want some tips then you can try using harpoons with the decimator upgrade and place disruptors in the place where the boss will be pinned down. :o
Are you talking about the little guys which are passing through the walls? They are only on levels 3-6. They are spawning from the Bluul Egg which is easily destroyed by 5-6 attacks. :o

something happened... i beat a level and it put up the 2 upgrade options but there was no text... i clicked around and it must have picked nothing somehow and now theres no text almost anywhere in the game. No number of how much money i have, no countdown to level starting... weird

I do not understand very well level 9, the monster gets to hal health and it does not seem to lose energy any longer. Also the small turrent on his body I cant kill not even one is it suppose to happen?
Hey, are you talking about the snake boss? What small turret are you talking about? Please send me a pm if you want, in order to explain things better. Thanks!
Hey, those crescent things take 75 damage from every hit of your main turret so make sure that your main turret is within range to shoot them. Also place a Mini-Me since it does the same damage as your main turret. Hope it helps.
Hey, for level 6 I used this layout: https://imgur.com/a/0JQcMkQ , all fully upgraded, on wave 2 build a Mini-Me near the main turret and focus the shiny bluuls. Hope it helps!

silly question: I played a couple of times the first level... but id doesn't unlock the second one :v (I defeat all the three waves without getting hit) but when I hit "go" from the main menù everything is still the same... Am I missing something?
Hey, I think this is a Cookies issues, since the game doesn't seem to save your progress. I suggest enabling third party cookies or whitelist kongregate. :o

That developer is crazy. Makes a solid game, listens to feedback, makes his game better, replies to individual comments, fixes bugs on the fly, replies more, makes the game excellent, and after what looks like three weeks of sleepless, non-stop improvement, still has a sense of humor. Thank you so much, Hopeslicer! Your game is original and kicks ass, and you rock!
Aww, even my mother doesn't talk about me like that. :O Thank you, Gravier! :') I really appreciate it! While I was developing this game, I really lacked motivation, but now with people like you I won't run out of it for a while so I should be the thankful one. :')

Unlocked "my thanks". (TIP for final boss : harpoon) This game deserves a badge to attract the crowd.
Further upgrades I would recommend : more towers (of course, since that's how you implement tower games) and/or powers to cancel healing or freeze ennemies or damage area... ; slightly larger maps without the possibility to force them into one path, for more action and ressource managment
A star is born :-D
The level 15 unlock should soon be changed. :o I am currently working on an :( and I am trying to add some things I originally had in mind for the game. Hopefully I can deliver this soon. Anyways, thank you!! :')

Oh one tip for players: Big hitboxes means that a blaster firing next to the enemy still hits it, so a blaster-wall next to a long stretch both hits in front of the wall and next to it.
I tried to reproduce this but It didn't work, I might have an idea whats causing it but I am not sure, what I am sure of is that restarting the game should fix this 100%. :o

@martanio I think you simply need to get used to the general tactics. Area-effects first, mop-up single-targets second, fire at will with the big guy in such a way you help mop up when needed and hit the area-area otherwise. Boost first, extra placements second. Make sure not to have too many zigs because those actually benefit the fast enemies, but when you do have zigs that's where the machineguns go. Either have a machinegun help with the egg-spawned enemies or spawncamp the portal to kill the eggs. I made a stage 4 setup with 17 walls, to simulate barricade costs I kept 100 cash remaining at all times. Just used the following structure and added machineguns after the first wave, never got in any risk. https://i.imgur.com/4V0H7N8.png

Extremely difficult game. Even with infinite money death sometimes happens. This game would be far far more enjoyable if we didn't have to pay ever increase amounts to add more "territory" ( I believe Pillar). Extremely limited upgrade system. I wish we could grind some at least in order to improve our chances or level something up to make it not so difficult. I have no idea how people pass the fourth stage let alone the 15th without extremely good positioning, and amazing luck with the buffs.
I just woke up and I am late to reply but it seems you made past that level (got really far though :o ). The game is not that difficult imo, there just a rhytm you have to figure for every level since enemies are spawning at a set interval.
Rofl, I tried so much to avoid words with "fi" in them but I still missed a few. You have no idea how much I wanted to use the word "fires" in some descriptions. Also, thank you for playing my game ! :')
I am not familiar with the mobile environment yet. Also, I think my game would be pretty hard to play on a mobile considering the controls and such. At this point I wish I had in plan a mobile release in the first phase of development. :(

I was able to remove all of the preplaced walls and then completely cover the turret with walls. This made it so the creeps couldn't reach me. It took me literally 2 minutes to find a MASSIVE game breaking bug in your game.. maybe do some beta testing..
Rofl, that's such a stupid bug. I didn't even think of doing that on the first level. It is pretty hard to cover everything by yourself, I did a lot of testing but some things even if they're hidden in the plain sight can be easily missed by me since I have the rules set in mind of how I should play the game. I am pretty sure that bug can be reproduced only on level 1 and the fix is uploading right now so yeah.. Thank you for reporting it! :o

2/2
You can't directly sell preplaced walls, but can remove them by placing a turret on them then selling the turret. Which anyway you slice it is stupid; either they aren't meant to be able to be removed or your happy forcing the player to take a pointlessly long route about doing it. Plus being unable to remove the walls prior to placing the base turret forces annoying or imperfect base turret placement.
And lastly a small weird bug, the "fi" in the word field (I assume) of the Disruptor's description are missing. All i can see is a dot (at the same height as the middle of the "e") plus the letters eld. -eld where the dash is a dot for me.
Unfortune really, as prior to lvl 9 I was enjoying the game. 1/5 from me.
2/2
Preplaced walls were placed there mainly to help the player, destroying them wasn't meant to be a feature, but many players reported it and I thought that maybe it can be a sneaky way to pass the level. The fi error is a font related error, it happens everywhere I use this font (notepad, webpage, etc).
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I haven't got a king clue how to stun the head of the snake in lvl 9, none of the weapons mention stunning and damage from all the sources I have including amplification by the Disruptor aren't opening the eyes even after dropping the head to less than half life over the course of my full maze.
The building interface overlaps the building terrain meaning at times you can't see your turrets and walls to know where they are placed or sell them. Shitty inface mistakes like that being a personal pet peeve of mine that I take to imply you don't care enough about your own game to even play it.
1/2
You can press 'H' to hide the UI (couldn't fit every controls in the main menu unfortunately) and the boss description says shocking which implies the use of Trigger Plates (it's description makes reference to shock/electricty thingy)

Thanks for replying, Hopeslicer! The creeps not following the path happens with all monsters. Levels 6 through 8 at least, whenever I'm not building an airtight wall path (and on those levels I can't because of the outer limits), I get a blus highlight that is not followed by the creeps. See screenshot example here : https://imgur.com/a/0PSIu6M
*edit* The problem should be fixed! Thank you for reporting, it was just a slight mismatch (@3 pixels) between the path calculator and the spawn location. It showed the wrong path pretty rare but it happened, took me some time to figure it out. :o
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I'm having a hard time with it. The game being challenging is good, but the creeps not following the path highlighted before the wave starts is very annoying.
Hm, I think this happens only with the lil' bluuls right? That's because the path is calculated from the position of the portal and the lil bluuls have a bit of velocity when spawning (for the visual) and when the velocity reaches 0 they calculate their path based on their current position which might result in a different path (not for all). They are the only the enemies with that pattern but they have only 1 health so they aren't a problem imo. Or is there another problem?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I wish I could sell platforms. More than once I've built one and gone "oops, I can't use this" or "oops, I don't have enough money to properly fill this with walls."
I forgot about them, when I first released the game I hastily made the sell feature and the platforms gave me a quite the trouble since when they're sold all the turrets build on them will remain there. I'll see what I can do.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Hopeslicer If you do a lengthy snake maze with my structure, the boss has zero chance because every Harpoon can hit tons of times.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Ok, is there a reason I have to complete levels 4 and 5 three times in order to show them as completed (5/5), but unlocked the next levels?
