Thank you for finally releasing this on Kongregate! Great game, like all the other Hood games. I'm sure I speak for many of your fans when I say we appreciate the time and effort you put into making this series. Can't wait for episode 4!
P.S. That cheap scare was uncalled for. I'm writing this as a ghost because I died of a heart attack.
Haha sorry, I didn't actually mean it as a scare, like, everyone has said that it startled them, I wanted it to be spooky, not jarring, so I kinda messed up there. At least I didn't play a horrible loud sound, I hate those things. I meant for it to be more haunting, I think I should have had the fade be slower or something. WELL, regardless, it's important to the story. :P

I clicked on the tool in town while wielding the shovel. "If they mated I wonder what super-tool would be born?" You got me to laugh. 5/5 for the witty words.

found a glitch, at the tree with the moving rings, if you move the mouse to just in between the smallest moving ring and the middle moving ring, on the right hand side, it allows you to take the drill without needing to actually open the tree.

TO OPEN THE TREE and get the magic drill: The first part of the riddle is "There two stood, with one is dead." This refers to the mark on the tree with 2 vertical lines and one horizontal, representing two standing people and one dead one lying on the ground. Next it reads "Two are hollow", This is a reference to the mark of two (hollow) circles. The following lines mention two more dead, so the last mark is the one with two stacked horizontal lines. Also, the "Place of power" is that tree-stumpy looking thing wrapped in vines that's past all the bird-man statues.

Jack the lantern! How come you dont protect me from that little imp! The one which stayed on screen for 3 seconds with words *possible spoiler, no idea* "She lied to you and we know it" scared me!

Every time I clicked on something, I asked my pumpkin what he thought about it. Then I realized I was asking the opinion of pumpkin. But continued to do it. It had such funny things to say.

Absolutely love the "She lied" guy. This is a great series, my only beef is the dialogue system. When there are multiple questions I could ask a person, like with Ettlethorne at the beginning, it's frustrating to have to click through and then start dialogue all over again. The option to ask another question or say I'm done talking, would be less counter-intuitive in my opinion.

Heh, forgot to add that I absolutely adore the trusty, loyal, laughing pumpkin. My favorite comment was "The pumpking doesn't do manual labor." I'm not sure if that was intentional or not, but it certainly conveys a sense of the pumpkin's superiority. Well done!

Let's see here... Girl with red hood, given to by her grandmother, Wolf tracking her through a dark forest... I think I may be on to something.

Congratulations, this game series is one of the best in Kongregate.

Loved the game - simple, with eerie atmosphere, full of suspense... A small bit of feedback, tho: I'm color-blind, and in several scenes I had a hell of a time finding the arrows to advance; for example the arrow at the round door is practically invisible to me :/

For those who are confused: The Flute has no use in this game and putting The Coin into the top of the little spirit homes is an easter egg from one of Hypotis' other games, Runeseekers 2. Another great game you guys should play! :D
<3 I didn't think it was that hard really, but of course I wrote it. All of my playtesters beat it fairly quickly. If anyone is having trouble, I uploaded the solutions to youtube, watch mine though, not those other peoples. :P

This statue is broken. The pumpkin thinks he's dead, Jim. 5/5 for just keeping the pumpkin in every game, let alone giving him his own thoughts. :D

First time I saw the jump scare: OMYGODWHATTHEHELLWASTHATMYHEART!
Fifth time I saw the jump scare: Oh hai Mr.Teeth, how are you doing?

Oh God, i have been playing Hood Episodes 1 and 2 thinking the Woodcutters Son was in fact..... a lesbian looking daughter. My bad.

So What if the dead midget in the cave was another fithling scientist, and the reason he's holding a drill is because he thought it would protect him just like the other one does. Oh god he's doomed. O_O

"You show the barrel to the pumpkin, he agrees it is a barrel." I honestly don't mind spending extra time making sure my pumpkin sees everything i do xD

Wow-- damn. I was a bit surprised by the brown thing. LOL. My left eye is hurting so that's probably why I wasn't as surprised as I would have been if my left eye was fine. The voices of the "children" though, DID, creeped me out. It reminded me of the children singing in the movie "A nightmare in Elm Street" where they were singing about Freddy Krueger and him coming for you.. Great game though! Makes me think-- some of the puzzles were pretty hard but I guess it was worth it. The top comments gave me some hints. Thanks top commenters! Haha~
WAIT. WAIIIIIIT.
Okay. The brown creature thing DID make me jump away from my laptop. Hah! Nice one. I applaud you for your creative scare.
Still 5 out of 5, bro. Hahaha-- That brown thing sure seems to follow me a lot. STALKER-- :u
Nah. Thanks for making this brilliant game. It frustrated me at first but made me more happy when I finished.

Seriously that popping brown demon ruined most of exploration part. I still wanted to end this game because story is interesting, but i did it as fast I can. I feel that great game was spoiled by that creepy little thing. I really hope i could get my revenge on it in next installment! Nevertheless one of my favorite series. Good work !!!

For those wondering about the meaning of the riddle/poem its the key to the tree puzzle: The fifth line ('what tree fed') is the clue to what the poem is for (getting an item from the tree). Lines 1,2, and 4 in order give the codes for the three parts of the tree code, describing the number and orientation of symbols. 'stood' = vertical line, 'hollow' = O, 'dead' = horizontal line. The third line im not totally sure what it means, I took 'had best fled!' as a clue to disregard that line as describing part of the code. Otherwise its possible the 'Or' in line 4 implies there are multiple solutions and line 3 somehow describes one, but only one symbol in the third ring opens the tree when the symbols form line 1 and 2 are set right, so i dont know.
