I first played this on Newgrounds. While all the levels and prior bosses are doable with just the right amount of patience, observation, and timing, I don't really see how the final boss is feasible apart from winging it on the first attempt. For that final boss, walls really need to absorb projectiles - which are very difficult to dodge in a confined space. Would also be helpful if the character started that fight with a full blood bar - or least completing the random interlude level ever 5 defeats should give a full bar. The skeletons he summons should be melee, not ranged, or at least the speed and range of their projectiles reduced significantly.

Very flawed game although the concept is nice. Controls can be very unresponsive. The ending made no sense. As you play the game having to travel the underworld for every five deaths gets really old and is seen as a pointless punishment to the gamer.

I found the controls hard to get used to at first, but it got a little easier the more I played & I was thankful to be able to change them so my playing could feel more natural. Personally I found it a bit too hard, when I got to the boss at the end of lvl 2 the difficulty felt like it jumped up a bit fast & not coming back with a full health bar made it a bit of a chore to get it there each time.
Some minor things that bothered me: I like the returning to the underworld as a concept, but not as gameplay & I really wish enemies couldn't shoot through walls so you could escape. I'd have liked a hotkey for the menu as well, rather than having to click whenever I wanted to pause it.
All in all I liked it, but found it too hard for my liking, which is a shame cos what I did play was enjoyable. Having some more lvls earlier on to help you adjust to the controls & fighting would be great & if nothing else would give a bit more gameplay to those who aren't quite as skilled as others.

Good if a bit hard but I didn't understand the ending at all.

Some of the platforming in the underworld is really frustrating, but in every other way this game is completely excellent.
