Nah I allways want the thought process behind the games to be as public as possible, because you usually don't get that with games.
I've got a development blog up for my current game at I-smel.newgrounds.com where I get people to tell me stuff like this AS I'm doing it so I can add in good ideas as they come up. If nobody talked about these games, then Crunchdown would probably only have about half as many abilities.

Flameonfish, your disrespectful comments may be why games like this get such a bad press at times - because often people that support this kind of content act as you do. If you believe that Kongregate should and will allow this then others flagging a game will not be an issue for you :) Beyond this, crassly instructing people as to what is wrong with their views seems inappropriate. Comments such as yours make me all the more appreciative of respectful and reasonable posts such as that made by "I smell" below.

Nice game Maxgames(i smell) Its fun to get new abilitys and it keeps the game from getting boring.
And for all you people who are flagging because of cuss words. GROW UP! You must not watch any public television because they cuss a lot too. Oh and you idiots are the reason why a rated E game is rated T because of a tiny bit of violence.

Well regardless of my opinion on the inclusion of swearing, it's great that you can speak for and to it in a respectful manner and with a clear and understanding head :) That sort of thing goes a long way. Let's see how Kongregate responds lol. Cheers, Clipsion.

I'm actually also surprised Kongregate accepts this kind of content. Usually I have to fill out a quick Mature Content form, but I didn't here.
I got alot of people along the development line telling me to take the swearing out- I think I would've actually got alot more money for it. I think the game would've lost alot of authenticity though to have a group of rioters in slumtown ghetto not swear- I allways hate it when people do that. Swearing isn't appropriate in real life, but it still happens. So it was one of those compromises that came up where I had to decide whether I wanted to make a game that gets as many hits as it can, or a game that's as close to my personal vision for it as it can be. I thought, while I've got no boss or money constraints, I might aswell make the most of it and make the game I want to make.
I think all the achievements are a reference to something if I remember right.

This game seems to have a lot of depth, well done. The ability to consume and transform means that as new objects/enemies appear the game throws a fresh 'fighting' style of sorts to the player, which is a great way to keep things interesting. I also really liked the way the skill points are done with your own mini achievements (Rooooooxxanne - Nice reference). However. I do not think the language appropriate. It spoiled the game for me even though the cussing did assist in the overall style of humour you aimed for with the game. Beyond my own personal tastes though, I'm surprised that Kongregate accepts this kind of content. Apart from the language though, a nice game.

When I completed the mall and faced the chunky police officer I tried to eat him and I turned invisible with the controls gummed up :/

*hrhr* I like it. Especially the Kirby-touch of the game. :D But I found a glitch: I was in the Gym fighting those two big guys. I ate the Basketball with low HP and hopped into a running guy. I possibly took damage but I didn't die. I jumped until the effect was over, fell and stood up and now I can't proceed anymore.

Good question. I uploaded this as a test ages ago and called it Crunchdown.swf so I'd know not to publish it. Then I came back today and thought WHY ISN'T THIS PUBLISHED? Then clicked the Submit button. Then I realised: Shit, it still says .swf on the end. And now I can't change it. I've sent an e-mail to the Help section, so maybe they'll fix it.

Hm. You can change the quality to Low from the pause menu- that usually improves the framerate. Alot of people have said you should be able to block- Too late to add it now, but I'm listenting.

Guys, I have investigated and this is definitely legit, so enjoy. And please remember to just flag a game you think is stolen and admins will investigate. Do not comment, downrate the game, or flame the developer in any way, as you may end up insulting innocent developers.

Oh come on now look: The plot's deliberately bad. As a joke. I DO have a horrible sense of humour which, I admit, is slightly focused on gays and ghetto bawlers bustin on fools in the hood etc. But saying that I half-assed everything is a little bit unfair. It's one of very few webgame isometric brawlers in existance, the main guy has like 30 different forms, there's about 8 different enemy types, a driving mission, data saving- How many Flash games do you know with a pause function and volume control? I don't like to brag, but alot of work went into it, and to say that I half-assed everything based on the aesthetic just makes me a little bit sad.

Why WOULD I put effort into the plot of a Flash game? Most people are gonna play it for like 3 minutes max.
If I was a good writer, I'd make a book or something.

cool concept, but its lost on all the swearing. enemies can hit you from off screen, and your own hit detection is off. I used to think swearing was funny, when I was in grade school. as well looks like someone is trying to be urban ghetto. yeah, sure , i guess?
