it is annoying that the only the dead center of the carrot can pick up tiny coins. I end up moving past the coin in each direction and then it disappears before I can get it. Definitely needs a magnet of some sort or at least make it so if any part of the carrot touches the coin you get it.

False alarm on the whole passing over coins and not collecting them, it's just the collecting radius of the carrot is so small it just feels like it sometimes.

Sometimes my carrot passes over coins but doesn't collect them, don't know if anyone else is having this problem. Also, i'd be nice to have alternate controls to pick from, like arrow keys instead of WASD for movement.

I can't seem to get the magnet upgrade to work. And gathering coins doesn't seem to work very often whether you touch them or not.
It's not a bug, it's so I can easily get money for testing, but I did mean to comment it out!
Well, some people might enjoy using it! Sorry to others if it ruins their game on accident!
Hi Glagan. Some players are experiencing trouble with the input system. I think this is due to international keyboards, different operating systems, and many more reasons. To be honest, I have not looked into the issue very much. It is a top priority though, and I did a bit of brief research between classes today. I hope to get it fixed asap. Thank you.
I am sorry. I will move them to standard key, like K and L for the time being. I thought the brackets might be a bad idea, but I rushed to put something up.

Not everyone has a QWERTY keyboard, please add at least the arrow keys to move. You should also add a menu to remap keys (This one should be mandatory for every game). Too many developers don't get that.

Very nice game so far, like others have suggested, it needs more upgrades, and will continue playing when you have that save feature implemented. Coin collector is a must.

Are you sure you've uploaded the updated version of the game? I'm still not getting any upgrades for my carrot and the help screen doesn't mention anything...
That's unfortunate! I thought my movement code was pretty good at preventing 'stuck' scenarios... anyways, you can sell a turret with the 0 button. I hope. The next version should make it nearly impossible to get stuck!

Sorry, I have added a mute button but didn't upload the new version yet. It has more content! I want to add a better interface before I release it though. I will work to release it ASAP though.

I'm found the console and when I try to place a turret I get a * to close to target to create turret *. I can't place turrets anyway, at any distance. Windows7 and Norwegian language and keyboard.
Hi MeiteMarx, sorry to hear about your troubles! I appreciate your information about the OS and keyboard configuration. I know the layout isn't consistent across all systems, I will have to add a way to set the keys or figure out how to make it work across all OS and configurations. Others have done it, I guess I should be able to as well.

please do not do not do that unless you add an upgrade for coin catching radius. as it is, its tedious to grab coins and you cant get to alot of them before they disappear regardless.

ok to drop a turrent the mouse cursor must NOT be on the target (turrents built at cursor not ship position)
and the ~ key shows some activity log that helps

Damage upgrades would be great also being able to buy coin harvesters would be awesome also more tower types would make it more fun also there needs to be an overall goal of the like destroying the target altogether
You hit the nail on the head with the coin harvesters! I definitely plan to add coin harvesters, but I'm not quite sure how I'm going to implement them. I will definitely be adding more tower types. I'm trying my best to think of a good, fun goal, but it's not so easy! I appreciate your suggestions, thank you.

For this to actually be an idle game, there needs to be something to collect coins for you. Otherwise, there's almost no difference between "idling" and "closing the window and not playing the game".
Hi Motilius, what OS are you using? Do you use a keyboard configure for special/foreign/accented characters? I only ask because a lot of players are having keyboard issues, and I think it is due to different OS's and keyboard localizations. Trying to figure it out, I will check out the Unity forums as well. Thank you!
Hi Anjiko, I actually deliberately avoided the number pad keys for this reason! I can't explain why the number keys didn't work for you, but you're not the only one! Would you mind telling me what OS you're using and if you have a special keyboard setup? Thank you!

1. collect radius is too small and so does lifespan of coins
2. basic turrent is totally worthless
3. shooting is worthless pretty soon
4. upgrades are worthless as they give very few bonus in attack rate and costs soon as much as new turret,
5. THIS GAME has some nice idea, but the execution, unballanced gameplay and doesn't have any goal or anything.
Just another DEV that didn't even try to play his game for more then 2 minutes.
Hi Zabijaq, I did play my game for more than 2 minutes. Good estimate though! If you look under the game description you will see that this is, "A very early version of incremental target shooter." It's actually an extremely early version of incremental target shooter. I appreciate your suggestions 1-4, and I appreciate that you said the game has a nice idea. I need the community's help to flesh out the game. Hopefully I can make what is suggested, but it's your feedback that will shape the game. Thank you.

the 1 & 2 keys weren't working until i right clicked the mouse....then the keys worked for the towers....no real goal yet to keep playing
That's odd! Did left clicking not enable the 1 and 2 keys? I have to click the unity application before it will let me place towers and the like. I will keep an eye out for solutions to this.
For sure! What's the point of an incremental if you can't let it increment on its own? My thoughts were that you could leave your carrot ship close to the target to idle, and you would only get some of the coins. There needs to be some significant benefit to actively playing, I think, and acquiring a lot more coins is a pretty good incentive for active play! Thank you, Shibbysean.

* A mute button.
* More expensive turrets should generally have more expensive upgrades. Here, the laser turret is cheap enough you don't need to buy any normal ones.
* Hide the unused variables until you're using them.
* More buildings, with synergy between them. How about booster buildings which improve turrets in a range around them, or of shots that pass over? How about having turrets needing power? Anything which gives the player more to do than just wait for money, buy the best turret, repeat.
* If you're going to have shooting in there, you need to do something with that aspect. What if there were bonus targets that appeared or moved, and had to take a certain amount of damage to destroy, or that only certain types of turret would target?
This is a good proof of concept, but you have work to do. Don't give up.

i cannot travel over towers. towers do not collect money. this is a GIANT problem that should have jumped out at you from the very begining. make towers collect money which touches them.
Hi Capkloud, sorry about not being able to travel over towers! I think it would look silly if your carrot was on top of the tower, or under it! However, I will configure the turrets/towers so that you can always squeeze between two of them.

Some ideas : hero perks ( magnet, shot rate, multi shots ...) / minions that turn around the target and gather coins for you / An other target that grant more coins (need to be bought) / random powerups ...

one upgrade whose need becomes obvious after a while, Coin-collection-radius. Comes in handy when most of your coins gets stuck in a cluster of turrets.
Are you pressing 1 and 2 above the WASD keys? I did not configure the number pad keys, but I will add them. What OS are you on? Are you using a different keyboard layout (azerty?) or a configuration with foreign characters? A lot of people seem to be having issues with the keys, and I think this is due to different computer configurations. Will try to figure it out. Thank you, SteliosS10.
For sure! I am more interested in working on the game mechanics at the moment, but I do know there is a dire need for a better UI. I do not have any graphic design skills though :(.
