Soooooo addicting. Great game, controls are very responsive and the jump seems perfectly distanced between the obstacles, not too easy not too difficult to manage. But adding the laser encourages you to HURRY. 5/5
@Kelgis, if you think the game is luck-based you're doing it wrong. I haven't encountered a section yet that was impossible to navigate. The better you get at timing your jumps the easier it is to stay in front of the laser.

This is a great game, but the hard badge can only by precise timing or luck, because at some points in the 300m area, it's impossible/looks impossible to beat. Other than that, I like how the developer gave the ESC key some action. 4/.5

It's really irritating when landing on a wall, the character plants his entire head, even the ears on the top, to the wall with absolutely no wiggle room >.>

What have I learned from this game? If you're going to wall-jump out of a chasm made of steel girders, make sure the tip of your ear is insulated from electric shock.

Don't get me wrong, I like the music... but when I have to play the game 1000 times to get the freaking badge, a mute button would be appreciated.

A tip for the badges: Press and hold Escape until right before you touch the wall, and then press and hold again immediately, rinse and repeat. When timed correctly, it'll greatly increase your velocity, allowing you to clear hundreds of meters in a couple seconds. Although you'll still need a lot of luck to reach higher scores, the game is already hella luck based anyway, so doing this at least helps to easily clear a few meters (about 200, usually) earlier on.

Here at /ESCAPE\ we don't just have spikes, we have spikes with electricity running through them. And you don't just have to dodge the spikes, you have to run from the laser.

you should be able to outrun the laser and not have it always on your tail, it just makes it feel like there's no visible progression of skill as you're not rewarded for actually getting better at dodging the spikes

I have a single complaint about this game, no matter how fast or slowly you will climb, the leisure will stay the same distance from you, even if you go fast the leisure will appear immediately, if you go slowly he will appear in the same time, for this to hapen just stop

Just a little tip...READ the instructions. If you hold the esc button you jump higher. Without that info the hard badge is pretty much impossible. maybe i'm the only one who gets right into games without reading the instructions first though...

The one thing keeping me from rating this a 5/5 is the fact that you can just spam the Escape key and hope to get lucky, and it's actually a viable option. A vertical velocity cap would really improve things. 4/5 for now.

Jump as soon as you hit the next wall, and hold it to gain tons of momentum. If you are lucky you can get over 350 in 25-30 jumps. You gain a lot of speed, and this was takes luck, it took 20 tries or so for me. Good luck!

IncredibleApe, any chance at a sandbox mode where I could just play with the superjump ability? I'm having a ton of fun practicing my timing but the darn spikes keep ruining my good time...

1) Don't use the esc key. That's just stupid
2) It'd be nice to have any control over speed / be able to see obstacles before you throw yourself into them.

journal entry #1 I went to the hardware store to pick up some high tech weaponry. The guy at a the counter said I should get electric wall plating and a laser. So I did and so far its working really well!

I guess there's the whole 'playing better' option, but I much prefer spamming Escape and hoping I get to the top. That's how I set my highest record thus far...
