I've played this game a ton (See my earlier comments for my tips on how to score into the 1000s). The game isn't luck-based at all. All spike configurations are beatable with enough practice and strategy. Sometimes it's the "jump before the jump" that actually causes your demise. In order to really excel you should not only focus on making the jumps, but also setting up your next jump. Also, practice the small jumps. Those are the trickiest IMHO.

For those of you trying to just hammer the escape button: the laser does not become a factor until about 200-250m, patiently timing your jumps easily gives you at least 200m each time one you get used to the game.
Just look at the game name. You can try and rush an escape all in out shot and are going to blow it 99% of the time, or be patient with it and know what you're doing, and end up succeeding.

What do you have to do to submit your score? I've hit over 100m quite a few times and its not showing any "best so far"...

Like the idea, but I feel like it has bad randomize of spike positions. Also the laser speed becomes faster if you out speed it so it feel a bit unfair. Need more balancing I suppose.

@eternalsad It's not based on luck AT ALL... If you push more or less on escape the character will make higher or lower jumps... You just have to synchronize them together and find a way to dodge the spikes efficiently. I got to 300, so I think I'm getting the hang of this xD

After spending over an hour of playtime...
>300m
Holy crap, I might get it! The badge!
>330m
I'm gonna make it!
>349m
HOLY CRAP YES- *dead*
...
How could this happen to me?
I've made my mistakes
Got nowhere to run
The night goes on as I'm fading away

You will start off stressed and lose more than 30 times, but it you persist and start to enjoy the game you can achieve the hard badge. After 3 year its finally mine.

nice game, very very very addicting, the good kind of addicting! not the annoying ccruel addicting were you feel like shooting yourself after the 1000 trys of gaming.. 5/5 +100

This is truly a wonderful game, especially for being made in 74 hours. The generator is really something, 100% reliable or something close to it. I managed to get to 385.. Some tips: If you haven't figured it out already, holding the Esc key in makes your cute little ninja guy thing jump higher. Tapping it makes him do a short jump, great for quick spike dodges, and for this next tip: for parallel spikes, if you can't just High Jump over them, short jump right under one of the spikes, then do a high jump. No jumps are truly impossible.. It just takes a little knowledge of how the game works. + so people can see!

ive been at this for hours, and suddenly my sister comes along and gets 380 by going as fast as she can the whole way and somehow dodging everything >.>

It may be obvious, but here's a tip for the 350m achievement: master how high/low you're going to jump, according to the pressure you put on the Esc key.
This was so handy during the lasts meters.

Sooo.... what is he escaping? In the background it's just a gigantic tower that goes to nowhere. Is he just infiltrating so he can commit suicide off of the top of this thing?
