#### REVIEW: fake comments. this game is awful not even a puzzle game just a boring platformer with bad controls. the puzzles go as far as just walk to the next thing you can interact with which is usually right next to you. theres never any wrong choices you only fail if you die from bad controls. #### RATING: 0/10

I really liked the concept, and I'd like to see more. However, for a puzzle game, it was very straightforward. The boxes' positioning always seemed obvious (either partway through the spikes, or push it as far as it goes), and the levels were mostly fairly linear--there was usually only one way you could go. I would love to see more complexity with positioning boxes, especially combined with path-dependency for switching which direction is "down." One of the reasons 2048 is so engaging is because > then ^ has different consequences than ^ then >, and it would be wonderful to have a bit of that in a puzzle-platformer.

I really like how this game puts new ideas into play, yet still sticks mostly with the meta. My one question is why only 2 colors? Sure it is simple and probably a bit easier, but it gets kind of boring to the eyes. If it were to have a different color every level or cycle certain colors or even change colors over time i think it would be much more pleasing to the eye.

If you only made this game in a few days then I tip my nonexistent hat to you. It may have been short and it may have been easy but it was pretty enjoyable nonetheless. This kind of thing is what makes me want to learn how to make games myself.

I like it. Short but very fun. It's not very difficult and it's a bit linear in it's solutions, but that doesn't detract from the game.

Very nicely done! Each puzzle is quick and fun, so despite getting my box stuck in Levels 18 and 19 and having to restart, I didn't feel frustrated. I have played quite a few puzzle games so this was quite easy for me, but despite that, the mechanics were fun and the developer obviously knows how to create good puzzles. I hope that, if a sequel comes out, there will be more-challenging puzzles for us higher-level players. Anyway, cheers, great game!

5/5. My only complaint is that the game ends right when it starts to get really interesting, but the idea has a lot of potential.

How much did I like it? Jumped around on THE End for a few minutes thing there might be an Easter egg. No such luck. Good game, dev.

A very simple but unique game, well done developer. My favorite part was that the arrow keys were (spoiler alert) reversed when the gravity changes.

The holes in the walls are nice, althoght i once managed that the box landed in the hole after falling and had to restart...
Nethertheless Great game!

not ground-breaking, but pleasant, short, and to the point. only drawback might be that it's quite easy. it fits the 5 minute game category pretty nicely.

nice game with a good concept, also a little challenge for everyone is to try and get on top of the end screen, it is possible, just takes a little pixel perfection

I was going to play just a few levels to check out the game when next thing i new i was playing for three and a half hours holy crap this game is addicting do i see a DOWN IS UP 2 in the future?
I might have to. I only spent a few days on it so there is really no flair to it.
I feel like I had a lot of missed opportunities and oversights that I could hone in on to actually make a full fledged game.

Bad news/good news: the bad news is that this is effectively Shift without the black/white positive/negative space innovation--all the way down to the lack of mid-level saves which remains tragic when you get to the spike levels.
The good news is that this is effectively Shift without having to actually use the shift key--that always irritated me to no end!
A word on the efficacy of titles: down was always down for me, and up was always up. I know this is picky--even petty--since titles and game descriptions are more of a marketer's than developer's strength, but for prospective players, it can matter. The silliest things deter someone from pressing play.
I'd give kudos for this at the end of a Ludum Dare weekend, and it's not to avoid giving kudos now, but I'd have opted for further development before publishing on Kongregate (or similar sites) in order to generate maximum interest. 2/5

Great little game. I was frustrated when I came back to complete the game later and I thought I lost my progress. Boy was I happy to see the level select in the pause menu! Not the most intuitive place for me to find it, but glad I didn't have to start over - kept it a 5/5!!!

Could have sworn I've played this exact same game before. Like, a year ago. *Googles* Ah, ok. Same game, same dev, different site. I remember liking it the first time, but not enough to want to replay it. Still, I'll give it a 5.

A little bit simple,I mostly just went through intuitively without much thought. Would be nice to get a sequel with just more...of everything
oh well at least its one of the few games i actually finished recently

I love how the final screen says "Inversion" but there's already a game with that name so the dev had to change it in order to upload here, lol
The concept is fun but nothing ground-breaking in its essence. But since the game is short, pretty and overall well designed and implemented it doesn't matter that much.
I think I found a minor bug that send me to the start of the stage as I fell on an arrow, but after 3 attempts I decided to change my direction as I was about to touch the arrow and it worked.
4/5
