Under rating threshold (show) @Developer Re: Level 8 --- Xelestial is right, and your rebuttal simply doesn't make any sense. You can't upgrade your AA units past level 2 in this level because in order to do so, you need to destroy air units... you can't kil air units to upgrade towers, and you can't upgrade towers to kill air units. A catch 22, really.

Under rating threshold (show) after trying to beat lvl 8 for 2 hours... I quit playing this. Too hard. I have put those support towers that protect near al my towers, got 9 (read well: NINE!) AA guns in path of big airplane, and still not going down. AA guns are at lvl 2, which is max level for them in lvl 8 (maybe not in programming, but sure it is in money value...) Sorry guys, i loved canyon defense 1, liked the first levels and the upgrade system, but lvl 8 is just WAY too hard even for a regular Defence player like me.

Under rating threshold (show) I'm sorry, but the air units ruin the game. Although they don't attack your base, they can ruin good setups and the AA towers are too weak and expensive to be effective.

Under rating threshold (show) I can see this game's rating dropping much farther then it is right now if nothing is updated. Fix the anti-air units. make all upgrades and unlocks permanent/make levels bigger and longer. this got a 1/5 from me, even though it started out so well.

Under rating threshold (show) Dude... i had 34 (!!!) lvl3 AA-Turrets, 7 AA-Lasers and 5 Slow-towers firing at the 2 precision-strike rockets, and not even a SINGLE one was brought down. How the hell is it possible for a rocket to withstand more punishment than a heavily armored and shielded tank?

Under rating threshold (show) I can truly say that no matter how much I "try" to like this game it continues to subliminally get me to put my fist through my monitor...and I like my monitor, so I had to stop playing. So many people stating the same complaint in regards to the sever imbalances in this game cannot all be wrong. Instead of going about and attempting to refute each of the comments on the many problems with the AA, the developer should be open to more suggestions in order to make improve its game. All I see is the developer digging in their heels and sticking to their guns, defending what many of us see as a flawed game that has all the potential in the world to be great. Thank you, that is all.

Under rating threshold (show) Finally, it is very tedious to rebuild upgrade paths - I think you should rethink how you are approaching that. Having Laser AA towers unlocked does me no good if I have to spend so much money unlocking them that the game is over and I am dead from a lack of useful towers before I can use them. Fix the unlocking system, and tweak the few things I mentioned, and you have an original, unique TD game. I especially like the experience and upgrade system.

Under rating threshold (show) Firstly, original ideas. Thank you. Secondly, to everyone saying level 8 is impossible - it is not. I beat in a few tries, WITHOUT selling off my arsenal, I should note. Just put the slow guns in strategic positions and buy about 6 or 7 AA. Remember that the air units go in lines where your towers are... you can spread the damage and endure, or group your towers in a line to concentrate fire power. Thirdly, I don't think the AA is underpowered, though it is a tad expensive. I also think the direction of incoming air should be made clearer. I agree that rotation should be faster, and I definitely agree with the comment that slow guns should target unslowed enemies. I have lost levels before because a stronger unit was not slowed instead of a very weak one.

Under rating threshold (show) "Developer response from IriySoft Flying enemies appear from the direction which is opposite to the base. They target towers so they always fly where your towers are." Not true. In level 8 the base is north, and the air stuff comes from the north as well.

Under rating threshold (show) So... I have to "unlock" all my towers every level? Every single level, I have to build five mounted guns before I can deploy AA? Every level I have to kill thirty enemies before I can put down a cannon? That's just incredibly dull and repetitive. "Upgrade tasks" are even worse. You could do this in a game with much longer scenarios, perhaps, but I have no interest in plowing through short levels like this. (Air) Units fighting back is not original, but innovative at least. A shame that it's implemented so poorly. The combination of map modification and terrain-destroying enemies is clever, but the map grids are so granular (14x14) that there isn't room to do anything really interesting with them. And it doesn't help that you have to go through the crappy task/upgrade/grinderific process to get the walls unlocked to use. I'm giving this 3/5 for trying to do lots of interesting things, but honestly it's just 2/5 in terms of real fun.

Under rating threshold (show) I stopped building anti air towers as they are just a complete waste if cash. The air units come from random places. normally out of the tower's range. Even if you managed to luckily guess where they will appear, the air units are so fast that the tower doesn't do anything. With the money I save from not buying anti air, I just repair and buy better units rather than wasting money on a useless tower.

Under rating threshold (show) It's bad when a player beats dozens of attacks, and the last die, simply because they had never encountered such a boss, and just do not know how to adequately prepare. This is one of the reasons that you, IMHO, should give the player a consolation prize, a system of checkpoints or at a detailed briefing before him. P.S. Sorry for my english

Under rating threshold (show) I even sold off all my units on level 8 to avoid having them blown up by the air waves. The problem is the APCs that follow them. With the accelerating shield, they're at my base in, no exaggeration, 1 second. They're at the base before the guns can even turn to aim where they were. Mounted guns don't fire, and the cannon shots end up hitting the ground about the same time my base is destroyed. I even tried hitting them with an airstrike, but that didn't affect them in time to save the base. I like a challenge, but this is artificial difficulty.

Under rating threshold (show) I've done every challenge I have access to. I have a perfect score on all the first five levels, and the one right below that on 6 and 7, which I can't improve on after 5 times trying. I just can't save those gates. And I'm not getting any new XP from replays. So I don't have access to the challenge levels I need to grind to get the gun that can win lvl 8 for me - this new AA gun. I CAN"T get access to it, and I can't go any farther without it. I am goddamn stuck, 48 XP away form the promised land, and that is goddamn annoying.

Under rating threshold (show) You're doing something wrong with addition in the Statistics screen. [using double rather than int?] For Mission 1 it said I gained 11 xp each from enemies destroyed, gates saved and base integrity and 0 xp from tasks completed. Then it said the total xp was 32.

Under rating threshold (show) I find myself agreeing with everyone else. AA Towers are too weak considering that they are useless against the majority of waves. They seldom protect your buildings, and instead occasionally shoot down aircraft after they are done attacking- basically they make you a small amount of cash, but not an amount commensurate with their cost.

Under rating threshold (show) Lol you're trolling us with these AA towers, bro We say we're having trouble killing stuff with the AA towers You say we have to place more We need that money for the more important ground targets, but all of the towers we have for the ground targets are dying so you tell us to upgrade our AA towers by doing their tasks to upgrade the tower you need to kill air units....thats what we had trouble doing in the first place... These towers aren't effective unless you line up a whole wall of them to fight the evil flying enemies.. It's waaaay to unbalenced with how fast the enemies are and its even more ridiculous when they have shields and fly at you This game is really fun and I'd say 4/5 is a good score for it, but PLEASE do something to balence the AA towers and its targets!

Under rating threshold (show) Level 8 was hard, but I like that it's hard. So are a lot of the levels. Normally, I would walk through a TD game like this, but this one requires a lot of thought and planning to beat a level with a perfect. You have to strategize in terms of layout, economy, and wave composition. All around I think this is one of the best I have ever played. In case you need that in internet speak -- yallz a bunch of whiney ass bitches.

Under rating threshold (show) A quick tip for the developer: when your entire userbase complains about something, that's a problem. You don't brush it off by telling them to grind more, _especially_ when your suggested mode of grinding doesn't work because upgrades are dependent on the number of enemies you kill in previous waves.
