IriySoft : have you ckecked the dread lord achievcement since converting to HTML5? For me it only counts the last level I completed and since there is no level with 1K enemies I can not complete it.

I just completed lvl 15 on brilliant, and ive got some good advice for you all.
1) I used the two highgrounds to build two orc dens, upgraded, these can kill ninjas in one hit AND kill ninjas that are just about to enter your gem area.
2)On lvl 15, Your biggest problem is the ninja champion and the several ninjas you get before them on waves 34 to 40. My tactic, using fully upgarded meteors, you can launch 5 meteors, and do a total 2000 damage, killing the champion. However, you will need full mana for this. Any less, and you risk letting this guy touch your gem, he is a fast one. Again, however, the ninjas before the champion will tempt/force you to use the meteor spell before they touch your gems, but, if you followed 1), that shouldnt be a problem. Dont worry if you have something 450 mana, theres a chance the Den will hit crictical on the Champion, and you will need to only use 4 meteors. Vote up so people can see. :P

Quick guide to BOTD. Play the first level. Don't worry about how well you'll do. Keep playing until you get your first three skill points. Put at least one of these points in basic training. Play the first level again and put the Ice Tower on the gray extra-range spot. The tower should get enough experience where you can upgrade it to one of two towers. Choose the right tower that has the "FEAR" stat. If you're doing okay, then you should have the tower ready for the ninth wave. If you're having trouble, then put more points into Basic Training. You'll eventually have one of your enemies running the other way screaming, which is how you'll get the badge.

i've been wondering since the first game what the point of the return portal skill is. if it's only to still keep an "excellent" rating on a particular level then it seems very redundant. it seems like it would be more useful in giving you a "brilliant" rating on a level if at the end all your gems are in the cave.

Woo! Got brilliant defense! The trick is to be careful on the last level, cut wood sparingly, max out your mana regen/max mana and build a bunch of mana regen crypts then try to hit as many thieves as possible with your meteor. Remember to use SHIFT when casting!

The achievement 'Overlord' (mastering all skills) is just too hard to get.. You don't even need the half of all 120 skill points (60/120) to beat all the levels to brilliant.
Nice game series, though. I love Cursed Treasure Tower Defense Game!!

Actually, it's +29% thats missing for some reason; You get no increase on your 29th skillpoint in a tree, but the next one takes it from 28 to 30.

Mana Pool, Meteor Study and Meteor Mastery must be maxed if you want to stop the last Ninja champion for sure. Otherwise try your luck with Crypts.

IF you manage to take all skills, hard badge gets really really easy
but you still have to meteor the motherf... ehem I mean our lovely ninja friends

@biglite351 this isn't even Cursed Treasure 2. It's Cursed Treasure level pack, an add-on to the the original game. But I agree, we do need a sequel. Cursed Treasure 2!!!

Return Portal would be way more useful if gems returned by the portal weren't counted as "touched". As is, I only dump 1 point into it and Scorching Treasure because they're both useless for getting Brilliants. Scorching is only useful to get Adoration and advance the Demon line, and 1 point of Return Portal helps mildly with just finishing. I'd probably put 5 into both if Return Portal would completely reset the gem's status.

I am truly evil... I mow down entire forests for pure profit, not at all caring about the consequences, and use it all to build cities of towers...

I HATE that there's nothing reliable to take down a fast ninja on certain maps before he gets the gems, short of meteor. For champion ninjas in most cases, you can't ever have enough mana to take him down with meteors alone. Couldn't we at least have something that would give chip damage to invisible enemies, or at least slow them down? This is a gross imbalance in an otherwise great game.

the only real challenge of this game are the ninja bosses. and for those you either 1) get lucky and get a fear or freeze proc Or 2) have enough mana to meteor the hell out of them

The moment where you're on the way ot completing level 15 on brilliant, and 1 ninja gets to barely touch a gem before being destroyed and you have to start all over

Sorry for lost savegames. We've tried to fix this problem. So please start the game again, check if your old profiles are back and tell us results as soon as possible. Thank you for help.
For those who started a new game at Dec,12. Sorry, but you have to start the game again. We ought to return the lost saves with so many brilliants to other gamers. Thank you for understanding.

maybe add TRAPS to put along the walkway of the enemies. something that either slows them down, damages them, or adds a negative effect, ect.

re: Tuo: "Protected Flash Mode"? Where is this located? I looked through the settings and found nothing, even under Privacy -> Content Settings. I don't think I've had save-file issues with other games before. :-\
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@ All who are talking about saving issues: Are you using Chrome? If so, you might need to disabled protected flash mode. That issue has caused saving issues for me in the past, and when I disabled it, it worked again (dunno if it affects this game, first time playing this one).

this game could really use a "continue playing" option. you know, after finishing the required number of waves, it should register your rating and then let you continue playing with random, progressively harder waves until you either get bored or lose.

5 days of keeping my computer on so that I could get all the achievements!! Now I shall shut down and never EVER play this again =/ fix the save issue A.S.A.P.
*goes to bed with feeling of justice at killing big ninja before he touched my gems* I'll dream well tonight....

Perhaps a better solution than simply adding more levels to the game would be to add a feature similar to the one in Monster Slayers, but with levels. Make it so that players can design their own levels and post them on Kongregate for others to play. That way there's always something more to play, not just the same stuff over and over.

"Congratulations, you have completed all the levels! Here is your reward" "But, its nothing..." "Exactly, use it well"

for level 15 brilliant.
doesn't really matter which towers you use, all you need is max meteor and mana for the ninja-boss round --> blast him with 5 meteors.
if you don't have enough mana shortly before the round starts, just buy and sell some temples - each new temple gives you 20 mana, and by selling them you can keep them cheap! that worked fine for me, because i always had to use one fireball for the little ninjas just before the boss round.
hope that helps, took me some tries...
you can get loads of money by cutting down trees and the associated skills, use that in every level.
