feels like you get far less experience than in the old version. Not even 1 tree maxed but all lvls unlocked... just an awful long grind

HTML version is working otherwise nicely, but like mentioned, Dread Lord achievement isn't working. For what I see, it only counts how many enemies you have won on last level you played, not the total enemies on past levels. Should be relatively easy to fix, no...?

The "Dreadlord" achivement seemingly isn't working anymore. I've completed each level multiple times, but it says I've only destroyed 163 enemies. Just a moment ago, it said 279. I know I much have reached 1000 by now...

In the new HTML5 version space also scrolls window so I have to click the attack button instead. Also can't pause using keyboard anymore.

I understand that devs needed to change to HTML5 to get this game longevity, but number of changes are really bad. This is not just conversion, this is like overhaul. Especially in graphics - I liked original one more, it was nice and dark. This one is too bright and colorful. Original concept was better. Now to gamplay - spell don't have descriptions anymore, now effectivness of meteor and frenzy need to be guessed not analized. Same for foes hp and abilities. Old players need to remember stats, newer will stay cluless. And do u know how irritating is use of frenzy spell now? When instead just one click I need to move mouse and click map once more? I'm considering changing rating down from 5 now.

It's good that the game has been preserved for the future with HTML5 but the Dev only announced the change via the game news (which isn't obvious) two days before pulling the plug on the flash version. Not the best method to communicate something this major. I was already well on my way to getting the hard badge before the "news" was announced. If I'd had a month's notice, I would've waited for the new version before ploughing any time into it.

WTF - Game save gone with the HTML5 version !! I was one level away from Brilliant rating on all 15 levels to earn the hard badge, now I've got to start again ?!!! Not a happy bunny over here ):-(

This had been one of my highest-rated games on Kongregate before. Alas, for replacing it with evil HTML5 and deleting my save game, I had to rate it down to 1/5. Shame on you for ruining such a good game. >:-(

To defeat the ninjas, you must place towers where they are entering. They will then be visible by the time they get to your gems.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The ninjas are complete BS since they often are cloaked until they reach the gems, against which you can do absolutely nothing, and sometimes it's impossible to get all of them with meteors even if you have enough mana saved up. Incredibly annoying. I wouldn't even call it "challenging", since it's not a matter of skill, it's just friggin' obnoxious.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
On multiple occasions my gem is left at the point of entry for the next big guy. Kind of irritating and skill-less (just a matter of luck). Overall, not a ton of strategy involved, really just a matter of getting your towers upgrading.

Game does not save. Even when you're in game and hit "main menu" you cannot get back into your progress, completely gone. Firefox.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The ninjas are just bs. Even hitting them early as possible, in most levels they will get basically to the gems by the time they uncloak. They're literally the only thing in the game capable of taking the gems and it's simply because there's no counter to them except having meteors saved.

I would have gotten brilliant, but my internet is a pos and my meteors uselessly smashed down 5 seconds too late. Great game, stupid internet router.

Great game, my tactics for getting brilliant ratings were: 1)orc tree - max out cutting trees, avoid mining 2) switch to undead - mana pool for 500 max mana, 3) switch to demon - max out meteor spell and get 20 mana for temple, obviously avoid things like scorching treasure (you will only have to add 1/5 point to it, there is no way around)
Play all the levels just to pass them and get exp, then start all over again to get best rating, always have around 300 mana for ninjas or other possible danger.
The best tactic for the ninja champ in last level is to save up some money or mana(but you'll probably use it for ninjas in previous waves) and just before wave 40, build temple(+20 mana) -> sell it -> do that to get max mana. You will have 100% chance to kill him, just with meteors(hold shift to cast them faster). It's much saver than counting on critical hit or freezing.

Oi vol2007, if you have an issue with ads, Kong+ seemed to fix that for me. Things like "Mutilate-a-Doll 2" lagged horribly but I upgraded recently and the lag is pretty much eliminated.

I think that we should earn more point if we use less resources because it's more easy to win with a lot of skill that permits you to use a lot of defense than to win with just you need of defense

10 days and finally i get all archivements ;_; was hard, you need grind all time the last lvl, in my case, with level 26 and good luck, you can complete the last level... ;_; I focused in orc and undead turrets. (And a lot, A LOT of meteors)

Love the entire "Cursed Treasure" series. Second only to the "Kingdom Rush" series on my favorite tower games list. I really love the groaning and screaming sound effects when the raiders are getting killed - - so funny! That infusion of humor keeps it amusing. They've been teasing us with notices that the next installment is coming but it's been like 2 years and it still hasn't come out yet. I hope they finish soon - - like this year (fingers crossed).
