It would be very helpful if you could see what hero requirements there are for each quest on the quest selection screen. It would make it far less time consuming to allocate the heroes that way, as opposed to clicking into them and clicking out and trying to remember if you needed another lvl 10 shaman elsewhere, etc

A few display "glitches" with Wizard warlock and Wizard Chief leader skill's description : text is too long and its end isn't displayed.

Inventory management is a bit of a mess, perhaps selling by stacks, or better yet a "sell all" below a certain rarity threshold. Aside from that, the game has so much potential! I love it!

In order to encourage actual gameplay, I recommend changing the timer on missions to # of finished runs on stages instead, with a minimum stage level.

the daily bonus is still starting itself over after you get the rare chest....thought you were going to fix this as your reply made it sound like a bug. yes im damn sure i logged in before 24 hours was up.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Not sure my previous comment was clear enough :
I meant a visual effect after the bonus is picked and that stay as long as the bonus is active...
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
You should add a visual effect when characters pick the lightning bonus (like the shield one has). Right now, it's pretty difficult to see when the firing rate bonus ends.

The times on missions are annoying and misleading. i accepted one that said 1 day, so it should be 24 hours, it was actually 28 hours, i would rather know just in hours. Also you change the hour at the top of the clock instead of the bottom. i.e. it says 1hr remaining, when it is actually 1h 59m.

In regards to your response from my comment: My heroes are above level 5. I notice that there is an inventory item called "scroll piece" that seem to align to the various promotions. First, the scroll pieces seem to be disappearing from my inventory. I had multiple of several at one point, and I only have single copies now. Second, It is not made clear anywhere how promotions function. Do I need multiple scroll pieces to make a scroll to promote? If so, where is that explained?
Additionally, what are the requirements to upgrade equipment? It seems like the only thing I can upgrade are bronze blades. Is there an explanation on how equipment upgrades are intended to function written somewhere that I am missing? Are you not able to upgrade anything but bronze blades?
There is tutorial when you start the game that teaches how to upgrade items and explains Scroll pieces and the fact that you can upgrade 3 scroll pieces into one scroll. The text on the right on the class promotion window says that you have to find Scrolls to promote characters. To upgrade an item you need 2 same items and enough money to upgrade.

Is there a tutorial, or written instructions on how to do things? I cannot figure out how to upgrade items or do a class promotion. I seem to have the scrolls and gold listed but it will not allow me to do anything.
Are you playing the latest version? In the previous build there were no "Level 5 required" notice on the class promotion screen, now it's there. Probably your hero has lower level?

Sounds good on the levels increasing past 10 when more 20+ levels are added. But why so many quests needing level 11-12 participants exist now then? Would seem simple to cap that at 10 too and expand it later.

Another recommendation: Have the Boss levels drop rare chests on first win instead of normal chests. It's practically a tradition for bosses to offer better loot.

The explosive barrels needs a more obvious AOE indicator. It's quite easy to end up in the middle of an invisible explosion and just die to nothing apparent.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
so beating level 20, which wasnt easy due to the level cap, means no more missions? great. nothin to do but grind level 13 (best gold place) for chests that pretty much mean nothing.

nice little game... look A LOT like Band of Heroes (your game also). not as good though. There seem to be some memory leak.

Lvl 11+ quests available but my guys are capped at 10. Maybe I'm missing something overt here but there's nothing in game to explain it and I've had about as much luck looking through the comments. For how obvious the quests make it, seems that an explanation of the lvl caps should be in there.

Love iriysoft, loved the previous heroes games but gotta agree with the comments about the hit box being too big and especially with 3 chars. What about the idea of an ability to pull everyone together into 1 hit box but at some cost? Timer with a cooldown, reduced attack and/or attack speed, increased damage to chars... could be a good way to address char vulnerability and add a fun interactive, defensive element to the game at the same time.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Leveling as expected, but hit the cap early in the game? Also add some filters for sorting heroes and items. Type, level, stats, value etc.

need to increase the cap level of heroes!
nice game but after just a few hour you are completely stuck in doing just quest for legendary equip..

-(4)- Items. This is an important and yet undevelopped aspect of the game imho. Please consider giving it more love. A few ideas:
-[A]- More item slots. You've got boots, hats, clothes, jewelry, yet all this is bundled up into one slot. Shame. Why not allow for more in-depth personalisation?
-[B]- I'm a hoarder myself, and I've got pretty much every item common/magic up to rank 3, some epics to rank 2, and a handful of legendaries waiting to be eventually upgraded. But what to do with all these commons I've hoarded and upgraded? The gold resale value is poor to say the least. Give us something to do with those. Here the options are endless. Don't hesitate to PM if you want more substancial ideas.

Ok, a few things that would be nice for you to tweak or reassess.
-(1)- Rate buffs/debuffs (thunder orange icon pick-up, frozen missiles area 10+) should have a graphical effects that last for the duration, so that we know when buff/debuff ends.
-(2)- Decrease by a few pixels trap hitbox. Walking NEXT to a trap but not on it should not activate it, and hence shouldn't deal damage.
-(3)- Please reconsider rare chest price - atm not only is it a far reach to FTP players, but also excessively expensive even for the most devoted of supporting players. Maybe 1:200, 3:500, 7:1000 would be a more considerate offer, and aligned on your gems for kreds offer (7 chests for 200 kreds seems fair).
-(4)- Items. This is a bit longer, and will go in the next post.

Entertaining - for a short while - but it feels very slow, and worse, it feels laggy. Framerate changes dramatically between different menus, the inventory being one of the worst offenders, and the game itself rarely gets above 20FPS. If the game played smoothly, allowing the mechanics to really shine, I'd be much more enthusiastic about this game.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
is there any point in having lesser rarity hats in the game at all? they're simply lesser versions of coats. A sell multiple/sell unused would be nice for the inventory. Any chance of making the hit box slightly smaller? later levels have lots of projectiles, and it's impossible to do a decent job of dodging with a squad of 3.

@iriysoft: there are only three types of character, and this is not a problem, the problem is that this is more like Battalion Commander than Heroes. I liked both games, do not misunderstand, but Heroes was about a small squad, each character unique with their own skills, whereas Battalion was anonymous, you picked up soldiers as you went, could be grenadier, sniper, autorifles, it did not really make a lot of difference. This combines the worst of both, where you hire three wizards, or a rogue and two shamen, or whatever combination you like, it matters not. Playstyle may, but the characters are all too similar for the slow, slow, SLOW grind to be even slightly worthwhile. 'Only' three characters could work better, but they would have to be three very distinct types, even the *ptooey!* R2-esque Warrior-Archer-Wizard.
Got it. So you would like to see more depth and diversity in characters set-up. Not sure if we will be able to change it already, but definitely will take it into account if/when we make a sequel or a mobile version.

I'm a great fan of IriySoft games and I really tried to like this game which eventually I couldn't.
What makes Band of Heroes better (what this game lacks), is that it succeeded in giving you the feeling you were challenged. Some of the points that make it a great game: levels not being easy, avoiding or exploiting strategic traps, having useful tools/weapons, a character upgrade system which you can plan, better graphics and it has a story
But for this game it more like wildly aiming and hope that something hits, and being rewarded with random items hoping it will improve the thrill of being challenged more but doesn't. It just keeps on grinding. The things it lacks are replaced with chests, missions and cooldown times. Things you find with touchscreen based games.
I made it to stage 8 and felt it wouldn't get better and decided to stop.
It saddens me to say, if this is a pre-release of the end-product then this game is negative credibility.

Do I think Wizard is overpowered? No. However, the original game worked so well because each character was unique, whereas this iteration is all generic and homogenous clones with no real teambuilding. One of each character was perfect. Bring back at least some of the old characters, but introduce new ones too, not just the 'here is guy with shield, or wait, uses a big door instead'. A hyper-regenerating treebeast or troll? A dodge-based ghost? Non-vampire life-leech? Plenty of possibilities, and something I always loved of Iriysoft games was the imagination. Hells... maybe even tie-in some of the Cursed Treasure lore, or have characters based on Orc/Undead/Demons. Derivative, perhaps, but far more entertaining and diverse.

It's really stupid that one can not unequip or upgrade the items of heroes that are on a quest.
With this system I just unequip heroes before sending them on a quest from now on and am just mad that I can not unequip them while they are on a mission.

It's horrifyingly boring and slow.. and boring. Mouse control is tedious and painful after awhile. I have played to death MOST of the Irysoft games but this one is massively uninteresting, at least to me. Maybe it should be re-thought.

Band of Heroes remains one of my favourite games from one of my favourite developers. This, however, is badly underdeveloped. Slow, dull, monotonous, repetitive. Grinding for gear could work, with the double-item upgrade system, but so far? Wizard, wizard, wizard, auto-targeting. Greybeard wizards are supposed to be old and slow, but watching my Rogue dawdle up the screen is too painful to persevere with presently. Yes, it is a pre-release version; you know exactly what kind of unfavourable feedback you are going to get accordingly.
