typical zombie game, like:
"Mankind just died out - but I can't give up. There's still some tequila to drink!"
"Oh, look, there's a wide range of cool weapons falling from the sky!"
"Nevermind, just look what I can do with only my guitar when I'm drunk enough!"
Conclusion: Faith in Mexicans - restored!

It's definitely more of a luck of the draw kind of game with the weapon system and no armor upgrades. Fun though. Danny Trejo would get a kick out of it.

great game - would be much better if you could swap weapons (between your melee weapon and your gun) so that in the early stages you can simply use your melee weapon to take out the noob zombies and then bring out the big guns when you get to a boss. 4/5 :)

Eh, fun enough game. Some places it falls desperately short, though. Not too much variety. The earlier phases become pulling teeth as time goes on--there should be a way to jump back into some proper action instead of spending a full minute killing the first 3 zombies with a chain gun. And, as it stands, it leans far to heavily on the luck of drops; there should be a way to pocket a weapon, since it likes to spawn nothing but pistols every bloody boss fight. Also, the chain gun melee animation doesn't line up with its collision radius at all; it looks like you spear with the three-foot barrel, but it's got the range of a pistol whip. Being able to shove with the full length (maybe doing no damage) would make it useful--if not, then redoing the animation to something more appropriately sized, like a cross-checking motion.
Anyways, great potential, ruined by a few iffy mechanics/decisions.

Wow. I'm tempted to give you 5/5 JUST because you used a hispanic protagonist and made him a good ol' fashioned badass instead of a janitor or fatso in a sombrero. Seriously, bonus points for not playing to stereotypes with your hero character. Fun game too, but like others said i'd like to see more upgrades, and maybe some plot.

Cool game, but I think there are a few things that will make it really great: being able to upgrade the chance of getting a certain weapon. Too often have I gone for a while with only being offered a pistol when I have unlocked the minigun. I'd also love to see more distinct silhouettes on the crates. Maybe one for each category of weapon. I've played enough shooters to know the difference between a rifle and a shotgun, but I can't identify different types of guns by their shape, and whenever I buy a bunch of upgrades, I get thrown off as to what's what. Finally, I believe it needs a bit more variety: different bosses or a different background stage between each. In addition, it would be really helpful to have a progress meter that shows my current percent of completion, so I can at least figure out if I'm coming up on a boss so I can decide whether to save or use my weapon.

fun a little to luck dependent on if you can find a gun when a boss appears. a way to speed up zombie arrival once you have all the guns would be nice

Starting out at "wave 1" when weapons are maxed out kinda blows... 3/5 just because I don't have the time to wait around with a chainsaw killing 1 zombie every 15 seconds. Great game otherwise

It's really nothing more than a numbers game. You have to deliver X damage per second on each side in order to survive. Fall below that, you die. So it's impossible early on with the low damage weapons, but unlock the minigun or jackhammer and it's easy, unless you run out of ammo. There isn't much more to the game than that. My one pet peeve was that the final level rifle had less ammo than the level below. All the people who are complaining about ammo not accumulating don't understand the game. You're supposed to run out of ammo and have to constantly be scrounging for it. That's kind of the whole challenge of the game.

I think this is a pretty good depiction of how the average American views Mexico.
Nice place to drink lots of tequila, but come heavily armed.

Bug report: Defeated last boss, game bugged and instead of ending, continues without spawning any more zombies but keeps dropping items/weapons.

Trejo-zombie, Tarantino-zombie, Banderas-zombie... the movie references alone give this a 5/5 from me. The only thing that doesn't fit is the boss. It is annoying the amount of unavoidable damage it can do if you run by it. It is total luck if you get a weapon or just die. That drops it to a 4/5 for a fun game.

i'd love to see the weapons get balanced...
Cause this doesn't make sense:
The best item that may drop in eraly mid or in any stage of the game = minigun
even the lvl1 pistol has higher single-target dps then the chainsaw.
The chainsaw is not viable, as if you use it against any boss, u'll die...(maybe fix with armor+ while in melee mode?)
well, gg gl and hf

3rd sniper works really good on bosses and try to save up the rage thingy to get el gitar hero but only use it in emergency not just to get kills

Why is the stake hammer stronger than the chainsaw. It takes longer to kill enemies with the chainsaw than the stake hammer.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I don't mind the change of weapons with every pick up, but you should let crates and power ups stay on screen much longer, so i could actually benefit from all the drops; or increase the drop rate.

A little request to the author: instead of Enter to use the guitar hero/tequila attack, we should be able to use E or another key near WASD.

I only upgraded the machine gun series, the melee and the pistols. I found that buying the weaker weapons were direct downgrades because they made the sexy strong gun less common. Unless they all have separate drop rates. I stand by my opinion.

It lagged for me too, even though I was only using half of my resources. I do like the ending of the game though. xD So generic that it's funny.

continued from my last post. Anyways, third off, you either need to give us level ups or armor upgrades or something, especially considering the issues with lack of guns and whatnot I mentioned before that forces you to melee a lot. Of course, this could also be partially remedied by my before mentioned suggestion about making drops last longer, but regardless having a static level of health and damage resistance doesn't work well. Fourth, speaking of leveling up, there should be leveling. But then again one of the top comments already address that, so I won't go into it. Last (I think), imo the chainsaw should be buffed. Honestly, in a lot of situations it's barely better than the stake hammer. You can run into a crowd and where the stake hammer would kill many of the zombies in one hit a bunch of them get off a single shot when using the chainsaw. That's all I can think of for now...it's an alright game, it's just that there's a lot of untapped potential here.

Alrighty, a few things. First off, pickups DEFINITELY need to last longer. I find myself regularly having to run into groups of zombies hoping I don't get hit too much because I see a drop that just came down flashing. If the entire area was one screen wide maybe then that would be an appropriate timespan, but it isn't, in both cases. I guess an alternative would be giving weps more ammo, which I think would be a good idea anyways. Second, all the pistols before the desert eagle need to be buffed...actually, most lower weapons need to be buffed in general. Hell, I need to shoot certain zombies multiple times to kill them with my gun, but wacking em' with the butt kills them instantly? Maybe instead of giving us lower level pistols you should have just let the guy pick up rocks and chuck em. Continued in another post...

This game is nice , upgrades would make it awesome . I hope to see some upgrades going on like jumping , double jumping , dual wielding weapons , larger ammo capacity . The women zombie is a little too overpowered , even with full upgrades , halfway through the game you would most likely get screwed even with a chainsaw :(

To people calling this a Zombocalypse clone. Sure it's similar gameplay but if you're really going to criticize this game for that then you're going to have to criticize many games for that. It's just a fact of flash game development. Either way I find this game much more fun as it features boss battles and a better upgrade system.
