I have played in Imperian for about 4 years, I came from a very differant mud, where roleplay was not nearly as interesting or diverse. I cannot imagine changing games now, I am addicted.

I've played it for a couple of years now, intriguing RP, lots of flexibility for player growth, and what can be quite complex PvP combat. I love it now, and will for many years to come.

All Iron Realm games are fun, though I'm particularly interested in Imperian at the moment. It's a free game that will stay for free -forever-. Once you get the text thingie all figured out, it's pretty easy to understand, and as long as you don't demand to be a badass warlord, for example, but rather work towards being one, you can do anything you want.

I just can't get used to the text based style. I can't wrap my mind around it and it's too abstract. If I wanted to think, I'd actually do the homework I'm putting off instead.

Ever play an mmorpg and get tired of just running around killing things? Then iron realms has the games for you!!! Because these games are text based they are not limited by graphics. You are able to do anything you want in these games!! ANYTHING!!
Come join the fun!

I've been playing Aetolia for close to a year now, and it's easy to say I'm addicted. Not only does it entertain me, but it's given me a better vocabulary and I can type -alot- faster now. All I can say to the people that get stuck or lost, use the newbie channel. There are plenty of people that are more than willing to help out. It may be a text game, but if you give it a shot, you'll realize your brain paints a better picture for you than the picture would. 5/5

I am a longstanding player of Iron Realms Entertainment (Going on my sixth year). I've started off in Achaea, moved onto Aetolia and eventually to Lusternia, where I play now. These games are the best I've played, and I'm also quite the World of Warcraft addict. 5/5.

MUDs like these from Iron Realms can be confusing to new players at first, and they may not look like much, but their depth and gameplay can be superb, and Iron Realms has an extremely professional and polished set of them. It's the players that make these games great, and I have been hooked on Aetolia specifically for two years. The combat system is also extremely deep and interesting. I recommend these games highly, especially Aetolia. 5/5.

5/5 because the comments of the newb / kiddo squad on here made me lol a lot. Giving out 1/5 for not understanding the game? Is that the game's fault or is your intelligence threatened? XD

I've played Iron Realms from when I was 12. Give it some thought. If I ever felt it wasn't worthy of my time, I wouldn't have spent 6 years hooked on their games.
I've met so many friends from IRE, and from one of them (he lives in Netherlands), hell, says his english improved playing IRE. XD C'mon. Enough incentive?
'sides, there are really moar benefits than disadvantages. Try them, don't get discouraged by people asking you to change your name. It's part of the roleplay-oriented environment we have; have fun after that! <3 My 5/5 stars!

Every game produced by Iron Realms is home to a vast and complex realm, interactive and with so much depth and possibility. Be you in Achaea, with its familiar yet enchanting world, or Lusternia, with its depth and history and creativity unlike any game of its kind, or Aetolia, the dark sister, that eternal question of "what if" for those of us who grew up in Achaea - or even Imperian, with its strong sense of magic vs non-magic, breaking the sense of 'good' and 'evil'.
They are all excellent, absolutely.

Andvili's right. There's a lot of in-game events where you can win credit prizes, based on how well you do. They've gone upwards of 2000 credits for first place, oftentimes.

You don't have to spend a RL cent to get the full content of these games, actually. If you want to take the easy road and get artefacts and credits for lessons, sure, you can empty your credit card. Many people have done just that without spending an RL cent, though... keep that in mind.

Heh... never thought I'd see these games on here. This is a MUCH different gaming experience... and in order to get the full value out of it, it's actually really quite expensive. We're talking like $1000 USD to beef up your character in Imperian and the like.
It's good stuff if you're into MMORPG, but if you're just looking for light flash game play, this is NOT it.

Try entering HELP 1. Or HELP 2. Or HELP 3. Don't expect everything to be served to you on a silver platter, you've got ask around and you've got to work for some things, just like you do in real life.

If you think someone has a quest to offer, GREET (person) should spur them to action. From there, try to say something that includes certain keywords like saying "Beetles" around Enzo will make him tell you he will buy beetles.

There's plenty of events held by the Divine/admins of each game. Add on to that the political workings of each city and pretty much anything that happens in an active Divine order (In Aetolia) you'll have plenty of plot-oriented activities. All of these games have plenty more plot than most multi-player games.

this would never be good because after the training theres no plot you just have to find out were to go all by yourself
