Great game EXCEPT for the controls. Impossible to get a consistent feel for wall jumping. Makes some levels extremely annoying.

Love it as an idea, but it's starting to become a struggle to enjoy. Controls have all the ergonomics of a radioactive cubist hedgehog, and unlocking stuff (I'm looking at you, portals) don't create more fun, just more irritation. Add that to the unresponsiveness of the aforementioned awfully-laid-out controls, and much as I want to love this game, I just can't. Which does make me sad.

decent game idea, too bad the controls are confusing, the game runs poorly, there are things that just suck in it. the clock starts running before you can actually do anything, the enemies will continue to move while you're lagging out. just overall stuff that pisses me off when i'm trying to play a game.

Please, more checkpoints. And learn from Super Meat Boy: a delay when dying is cool the first time, but not after the tenth.

"And if it lags, turn the quality down, really not too difficult." I'm apparently spoiled by other games that give you a keystroke to change the quality; I've been wishing for a way to downgrade the quality, because I've been getting really frustrated with poor response to controls (not jumping when I press the W, continuing to run for several steps after I let go of a key, extra jumps after the intended jump...) I just now happened to right-click and saw the quality options there. Perhaps (*strongly* recommended) there could be a note in the instructions that you can change the Quality by right-click, as this game is obviously very graphics heavy.

Very conflicted. I could live with the controls set the way they are if there wasn't a delay between rapidly switching colors. I lost count the number of times I've switched to the wrong color and died despite pounding on the key I wanted, just because I hit the wrong one first.

This took me 10 min to figure out... (Ill call the blue guy FREEZE, red MAGMA and yellow STEALTH. Put an ice block in front of of the Overlord as FREEZE, when he does the GROUND SLAM (blue target appears next to him), While waiting for him to do his next GROUND SLAM, jump on the middle yellow platform and turn invisible. When you see him rise, jump down to see if he is doing it again (when he gets his hands hurt from the ice block, flame his back with MAGMA), repeat this 3 times! REPEAT THIS, WHEN ITS ABOUT TO DISAPPEAR!

why the heck isnt the movement/jumping mapped to the arrow keys, and the color change on the left hand somewhere. I keep getting key conflicts when trying to jump right and change to red in mid air.. (d+w+k keys).

I am enjoying this game only - and I mean ONLY - because I have a PSX controller hooked up to my computer. If I were not using a controller, this game would suck. As it is, the good thing about it is the level design and puzzles. The controls could use some serious work; jumping and walking feel wonky, and don't even get me started about wall-jumping. With some slicker controls, this could easily be among the best platformer games on Kong; as it is, it's only good. IF you have a controller. 3/5

This game has a fantastic concept, but the controls need work. They are really poorly laid out for keyboard. It would be a LOT more playable if the movement and action controls were separated between left and right hand rather than being bunched so closely together and mixed. On top of this, the controls are often unresponsive, which I don't have to explain how annoying it is in levels that require quick reaction time. A pity because it's great otherwise.

the sticky keys make this game terrrible, i cant even platform right, let alone do anything else because of those freekin sticky keys

hrm.. why JKL for the colors? If I could use, say, 1/2/3 I could play one-handed. or ZXC. Or either/or. Even better, let us use Q and E to spin the little displayed color wheel to the next or last color. Choices are good. *rating pending playing more, after I finish eating, since I can't color change*repost with addition, please rate this one up if you agree instead of the original!*

The timer doesn't reset when you die and you haven't found a checkpoint yet. If you cared about time, this would mean that the only disadvantage to starting over is that it's annoying. This isn't good if you want your game to be fun.

It seems like the game will only accept two keys pressed at a time. So, for example, if I'm jumping up and to the left, hitting W and A at the same time, the game won't recognize that I'm hitting one of the phase keys (J, K, or L) unless I let go of one of the other two keys. Does anyone else seem to have this problem as well? If so, major fail, as phasing during jumps is 99% of the game. Of course, when a game lags this badly, it's hard to determine actual bugs from sloppy code.

I played until lvl 15 on this game before badges. Thank you Greg for reminding me of the one of the worst wall jumping experiences of my life. To the designer- I like the concept, but seriously Mega-man perfected wall jumping, and you messed it up. Thousands of games do wall jumping just fine, N, fancy pants, ect. I do love the stealth yellow though, that's all kinds of cool.

This game makes you wonder if it was even tested before released. The slowness even on low quality make Protector look like the fastest game of the year. Nice concept, poor game.

I like this game, I think as a concept it's very good, It just needs a little fine tuning. And It would be better without the upgrades :p However one thing that really does piss me off, is that it seems nobody has taken the time to tell this guy you can in fact go straight to the top floor in an elevator. All of this needless stress could have been avoided with this simple knowledge!! :/

Lvls 13 and 15 are seriously more frustrating than trying to build a house of cards in a tornado whilst running away from lava wearing swim fins..

Nice game, but the impossibility to change the controls (more especifically to use the arrow keys) makes it a pain in the ass to change colors for left handeds (like me, obv), I DO NOT like to be forced to handle the mouse in a game like that, as any other key would've been more useful, or simply letting me use the arrow keys.

I played this game further, after my last comment, and found myself rage-quitting from the game. THere is a borderline between challenging (the fun type) and annoying (the hate type). I am sick of wall jumps and the slow buttons. Level 14 took me 13 minutes to complete, since it was nothing but wall jumps and perfect timing. The next levels after that were more perfect wall jumps, which finally made me quit. You worked hard on this, but I am sorry to say that I just find it impossible to play and enjoy. Maybe if you tweaked the controls, made customizable keys. (JKL? What the heck?) and got rid of some wall jumps, many more gamers would come to play it.

The starting idea was OK, but the controls are horrendous in design and unresponsive, while the stupidly high number of spikes betrays a lack of creativity on the developers' part. Oh, and the timed wall jumps really killed the game, turning it into an exercise in pointless frustration.
