Also, 3 skill points are left over after you get all experience possible. Maybe add a special skill costing three points that summons a plant monster to attack crystals for fun, because at that point you've already beaten everything at it's hardest anyway.

Why is everyone comparing tower defense games to kingdom rush now? This is a quite different and VERY good game: the flexibility of the plants and the possibility to do stuff while pause are great, maybe some kind of skill tree for the higher level plants might be possible, i.e. mortar or a healing plant, a grow accumulator or so which will need some time to change to the other forms...

I got all achievements except "play each stage at least 3 times" because i thought i didn't really need that when i had the "get all golden leaves" achievement.... 5/5 for a fun little game tho :)

@fakezero, what thousands html5 games?! They even stopped accepting new games, let alone html5 ones. And don't even hope for new badges, the remaining kongregate staff don't know how to work with the API and are just breaking it trying.

When I buy a new plant, and I start moving the symbiosis to that plant, I think it would be nice if I could just move all the lines leading to one plant to another with one click and drag.
For instance, I have two plants symbiotically buffing plant A. Then I build plant B. So, I click on plant A, and drag the symbiosis lines from A to B with one click and drag.

Pretty fun but needing to replay each map a third time was kind of overkill. Just extra busy work tacked on at the end for that last achievement, and the badge.

It seems like the best strategy is always rushing the crystals. At harder difficulties if you try and turtle then the crystals will always power up faster than you can

Yay. Distance affecting attack speed/pause at will/lots of neat little wrinkles. An enjoyable evening. Maybe I just picked a good upgrade path, but I did feel like it was hard to find a challenge towards the end. Would be fun to see a mode where crystals continually spawn (with increasing power), and you have no plant limit, and you try to see how long you can hold them. Or some similar survival mode.

To clarify, special missions where you aren't allowed to plant any plants are possible. You just need to level up the plants, increasing their range, and then put them into attack mode, further increasing their range.

The key to getting gold leaves past level 7 is the pause button. Always have your finger on it and do everything; spells, switching modes, symbiosis, planting etc while paused. It makes thing much easier. You don't have time to let your plants grow. Always have them in attack mode except your first, let it grow and then use it to power other plants. You want to finish as quickly as possible. Always sell plants that are far away from crystals; they don't do much of anything and you will need the gold to build plants closer. Make sure everything is maxed. Skills are most important. The only really helpful spell for the Hard is Meteor. Max it out and only that. Take out crystals on power wells first.

The last achievement I got was "Play each stage 3 times" and it was tedious because I couldn't tell which stages I'd covered.

They should add a function where you can click and drag an area, and every plant in that area will give symbiosis to the selected plant.

One of the easiest "hard" badges. Ignore spells - you can not use them in most challenges and just invest in combat skills. From lvl 4 I did all challenges on first try.

once you reach lvl 8 or so, and get max regen and defense, your basically unkillable and can easily beat the remaining 7 levels, good concept for a game though, one suggestion is to unlock all difficulty settings from the start, or make it so you dont need to beat all the levels to beat level one easily.

Very enjoyable little game. How easy it was was a little disconcerting, but I still found the game very, very, very enjoyable. Unable to reskill, at least with the spells, felt a little weird, but that had appeal of it's own as well.

Consider adding a button that makes the level all 2 star or all 3 star. When I'm going back through to get my silver and gold, it's tedious to keep checking every box. Otherwise, well done. I'm not finished yet, but some difficulty could also be added. 5/5

Skip the first two challenges, as they're two of the worst in the entire game. Most of the challenges after the first two stages are pretty easy. Max regen, then defense, and the game pretty much crumbles away from there anyway. I'd suggest maxing attack and crit after that to speed things up. Don't even bother with spells early on - You won't have a lot of mana to play around with most of the game and the spells cost too much at early levels.

regen seems to be one of the most powerful upgrades in this game. simply the ability to hold out against enemies who, unless you up the difficulty, can't heal at all is much stronger than many might think.

Don't forget to PAUSE THE GAME! You can still plant seeds, change plant attributes, and use spells while the game is paused. By quickly pausing and unpausing the game the final levels are extremely easy even when you're trying to get the Gold rating.

Quite a Good game, though the want to play a stage three times is kinda redundant considering that you can easily reach Gold Leaves on all Stages after their second play. Finished in under an Hour so might need a little more want on some things, still quite good...
