The game design is so bad on level 13 (the one when we go underground). We constanly can't see what's on the next section because we are on the upper ground so when we have to make a long jump... we can't know! and of course when we achieve it there are spikes to push you so you must reset the level. Seriously?!? While I'm at it, the boar rider boss was just annoying : hitboxes too big and our vertical movement is too slow. Sometimes there are way too much hazards, when they are coupled with distant attackers it's nasty especially the rotating blades because we can't destroy them and their radius is huge.

Been playing for 3 to almost 4 hours on "HARD" difficulty mode, dies alot, a little rage and my hands is sweating and feels very cold, but the fighting mechanic is really fun, and finally killed that final boss, 5/5!

So, the three dimensional aspect is screwy: he can hit me as I stand at one depth of the plane, but I can't hit him. The control metaphor is overly complex. And the bosses take far too long (OP). Not a terrible game, but not a good game either. 2/5

Played it back in the day and I remember thinking it was pretty cool and even exceptional for its time. I recommended it to friends and it probably became one of my favorite flash games.
Played it again now over a decade later on a whim and I'm sad to say it was an agonizing experience almost through and through with little redeeming qualities besides the art style and a couple of cute and clever things in it. Not much satisfaction to be had by finally finishing it and overcoming the obstacles I was frustrated with. Ah well. I guess not everything and every game ages well in time. I do hope the creators will keep working and find better platforms than newgrounds. Maybe maxgames or such. and make a new project which we can all enjoy and contribute to. Thanks. Much love to the hard working developers despite the douchey parts and snarky nonsense like the mom comment at the end of the credits lol. Peace ♥

The platforming and spikes forever ruin this game for me. Beyond that, it's a fun little title with a lot of heart though.

I am starting to suspect that my weapon is underpowered for the last boss. How do I go back and redo an earlier level? Please don't tell me, I have to start from the beginning. That's instant carpal tunnel syndrome right there.

Definitely not for the casual player. Extremely complicated controls and then some wizard guy calls you an idiot even if you follow his shitty directions. Also I think I'm stuck in some kind of infinite loop. I go past a hangman, climb up to a rooftop, kill some elves, and go past the hangman again over and over. Maybe I'm supposed to use one of those complicated power moves, but I can't remember which 15 key combination does what.

Act 3 becomes just plain completely unfun. Non stop devious trap jumps into hordes of enemies, and dying makes you restart the entire level. There is no way, even on easy, not to die TONS of times learning the surprise setup. Was ok fun first 2 acts, then the game design becomes garbage.

For the boar boss the battle is only moderate difficulty when you know how. Use the bushes a lot for health regen. The boss has a lot of hpts and there seems no way to win quickly. Use the spear to hit bushes for health regen. When you are ready to do damage enrage first, throw spear when the boss is as close to you as possible then use enraged fists, there is no time to pick up a weapon. Part of the problem is I went into this fight with a huge two handed weapon, which is bad for this boss.

I'm having trouble beating the boar rider boss. I dodge the boar, the hunter drops the spear, now what though? I pick up the spear throw at the boar which stuns, but by the time I run back grab my weapon the stun has already worn off and I come back just in time to get smacked by the boar. There has to be a better strategy.

Ok, refreshing the page got it to count without actually reloading the game. If someone else has this problem, just try that.

Easter Swords are found at the start of your 5th map checkpoint in ActIII: "the slime and vines stage" Each sword shows up at random and is placed on 1 of 3 platforms. You can "choose" a specific sword by clicking 'main menu' and start over at the beginning of that stage until you get the right one. List of all the Secret Swords: The Master Sword (Zelda), The Lightsaber (Star Wars), The Buster Sword (Final Fantasy), The Key Blade (Kingdom Hearts), The Chaos Blade (God of War), The Sword of the Ancients (Paladin), Frostmourne (Warcraft), and Sting (Lord of the Rings)

@charmanderdeus you can avoid the spinning blade traps by carefully walking near them(up or down) and by jumping on the wood base of them

yay earned hard badge. In my opinion this is a good game. Only the bosses have some trick but just see a youtube video about that and gg

When fighting the boar rider it's nice that the bushes give health refills! I was having a heck of a time before I figured that out.

I followed ApostasyIsonomy's suggestion and acquired the "Gnomes No More" badge on Edge -- after signing in there as well -- but the badge won't import into my account. Some games work better on Mozilla or Chrome, but badges I acquire on either of these browsers import after a refresh. Help?

1/5 game is too boring and does not make any sense. i chose hard mode and this game is a snoozefest. all i do is hit the attack button and run towards the enemies. the only thing that is a problem is the god-awful platforming that is thrown in here. for this pseudo-3d game, it might just be me, but depth perception is hard and i just end up falling off the houses. this can be fixed by actually making a game that does not suck. also, the enemies and environments are bland. more variety in enemy design, color, and environment changes would be helpful. all in all, i give this a 1/5 and suggest everyone to play 'final fight.'

HORRIBLE game! I prefer using Firefox, but these games are unplayable in firefox. I had to go to IE to play. I should NOT have to jump through hoops to play a game. It is the DEVELOPER'S responsibility to ensure their games are compatible with ALL of the three main browsers! In addition, there are too many controls required for hand/eye coordination. Much too complicated!!! 2/5

Before accusing a game of being broken, first use the Pale Moon browser. If it still doesn't work, then it actually is broken. If not, it isn't.

Ok, thanks to pareidolon for suggestion to try it again on Chrome. Got my easy badge after falling off the roof several times.

The screen turned black and I hear music, but I can't go on. I tried to check the game but didn't have time the other day, and it didn't save either.

The game sometimes softlocks after the first level. I was able to get around this by switching from Firefox to Chrome, but also by switching to another computer with identical Firefox/Flash but different hardware and slightly newer build of Windows.
