Scientist: "Sir, maybe we should equipt this robot with some weapons."
General: "Nah, I'm sure it'll be fine killing enemies by launching into their private parts."

Me: "sir Ive reached the other portal but i dont have acess. Requesting permission to go through."
General: "Negative Private you must kill all enemies"
Me: "But sir, the bomb is just ahead once i destroy it everything will be dead
General: "NEGATIVE Private. you WILL go back and you WILL kill those enemies that have no intentions in following you!"
Me: "Yes Sir..."
General: "And kill some of those damned fireflies while your at it"

Some of the best music of any flash game I've played. This game has great premise but feels very lacking. I love the idea of terrain deformation on a 2d level, but I felt I never had as much control as I wanted. I would love to see more activated abilities like a terrain spike to impale enemies or a shield or wall to protect myself from lasers. The game gets more difficult and the enemies beefier but you never get any new toys or abilities, gives the enemy an unfair advantage. Also, failing to reach the ship and not given a chance to retry makes the entire game seems completely pointless and makes the player think he wasted his time, since saving the world doesn't have as much levity once you do it a million times. The game has much potential. I would love the see a sequel with a more fleshed out world and more abilities to play around with the terrain. 3/5

It's got a really sad story behind it, when you think about it. Wonderful game, amazing gameplay. Loved it. Oh, and that poem at the end? I looked it up online. It's a lot longer, but still just as inspiring as the shortened version.

Creator: "Right, we're going to be landing on a planet composed entirely of slighty squishy rice pudding, whats the best we can come up with? *long pause* How about half a bouncy ball?"

Nice, simple, very entertaining platformer(?) I love the controls and how the blob moves, it's genius, looking forward to more games like this.

If you consider a sequel I would highly recommend making it more exploration-based. This unique type of gameplay is practically begging for a large map to explore rather than these linear levels.

holy crap it says on the missile that it will hit earth on the 21st of Dec, 2012. O_O OMG. If you don't believe me check it out yourself. It says in little grey writing at the base of the missile, just zoom in on it.

This concept is AMAZING. This game looks like it could be a starting point for so many others--upgrades like boosters, shields, spikes, better thrusters--weapons for multiplayer--enemies that shoot rockets or freeze the ground around you. Loved it.

It explains why you have a metal bubble doing your work for you.....1. any weapons on said bubble would make it too heavy and 2. its gotta be small they only had a tiny landing zone.

if the terrain is too unstable to support weapons as the game said, couldnt they have sent an airship? seems like the better idea since all the aliens weapons are built for hitting the ground. that aside, this is a pretty fun game 4/5

Sir, we have found a nuke on a planet made of tempure pedic foam! Should we use one of our many missiles to set off the nuke?
Nah, im saving those just send a robot with no defense weapons of any kind down there and deal with it, oh and have some military teams set up some portals leading right next to the nuke, and put the robot on the other side of the planet.
But sir we could just-
DOO ITT!!!

sob, sob... the ending so sad
i felt so lonly for thos last 20 seconds, it felt like forever
and the poem made me kinda happy it was still depressing...

Yeah, in the ruins at the start, press down and you see a massive nuke... it even glows, why not disable it right then and there?

the only thing I didn't like is that you have no idea how fast you're moving of where you are relative to the ground if you're in midair. That made some stages difficult when I needed a precise jump and I had no idea where I was in relation to where I wanted to land. Still, very fun.

@choirboy: In the right-click menu click "Clear Saved Data". Then you can reload the page and it will restart your game from the beginning.

General: Okay, now the nuke is on the est side ofthe planet.... Why dont we send him to the west side, make him kill these innocent fireflies and these robots that have lasers while we dont give him any weapons and instruct him not to go further east till he kills them all.... Good idea i know right! Lol good game 4/5

It's disappointing to see many negative comments simply because people, on a gaming site even, have difficulty grasping the basics. Try thinking of the mechanics as a repackaged launching game. So here are some tips. Press down to increase power (similar to dragging a slingshot launcher). Tap left or right to reposition along the curve formed (aiming by dragging left or right). Then release to launch. As for walls, make sure to form the deep curve signifying max power. You may slightly tap left or right to maintain your position on the wall so you achieve this as over-slipping can depower your shot. There is still slight slipping but the max power compensates for the loss and helps plant you into the opposite wall. Finally, patience is key. Homing laser? 4 hits is possible but 3 is safer. Wall with enemy? Rush past him then aim from above instead of frustrating yourself with aiming from below. Multiple enemies? Time them and attack when safer, not when they're firing.

Yeah! Go this game! Simply beautiful. The wind is so lonely and the background sets the mood. Cool mechanic and fun enemies! 5/5 lets get achievments!

Love it.
Best combination of music, gameplay, originality, and art I've seen in a game this length in a long time. Great difficulty balance (I didn't play the earlier versions, but the controllability and damage feel pretty good as of v1.09). I think Little Wheel is the only other short game I've given a 5/5.

Good game, but I think the enemy progression should be faster (it took a while to hit something challenging). Loved the graphics and gameplay though.

The things the highest rated comments are making cute jokes about are the things that are making me rage too hard to enjoy this game.
