There seems to be a glitch where nothing happens when I press space, but if I press space again he bolts for the surface.

TIP: If you don't want the cloud to catch you, just hold down space bar and he falls right through. Just make sure to let go before the next guy jumps :)

I'm having a problem where the scientist locks up mid jump and waits a good 3 seconds before making his way down. This of course causes him to commit suicide.

Drop the guys while your over the helicopter........they stay up there until
the cloud moves out of the way!
If you want to let them go through it.
