Finally got it to work, could you please add an intro page saying use AS3, add the action script in .as file (although you would when using AS3) and the other preliminary stuff so it'll make it easier for people.
it's still 5/5 and also, what was the could for the stuff on slide 2, sorry if it's there; I cant find it

By the way, I tried copying the first example to both AS2 and AS3, in both of them it showed some kind of error. On AS3 this is what it showed:
1037: Packages cannot be nested.

I'm so not used to AS3 than AS2 but...where on the .FLA? Type it on the .FLA or the .AS? Sorry, I'm not the greatest programmer. I want to be one...yeah.

Hey Mikal: Did you instantiate the class? Put the code by itself in a file called "TrigThing.as". Then on frame 1 of your .fla, type this: "addChild(new TrigThing());". That should get you going.

I am a n00b but, it was always blank when I tried to test movie in AS3. I read it over and over and didn't get it! :(

As I'm no programmer, I didn't understand a single thing... But the third epicycloid, the lissajous and the butterfly were pretty!

Thanks, everyone! Once again, it is good to know my efforts are appreciated. @araujoculas: I have not written any articles about Flash, but I did teach web stuff for a while, which gave me a lot of training for creating tutorials like this.
