Very nice. I appreciate the education, and I honestly think this deserves to be published on many more sites for public awareness, not just flash gaming ones like Kong.

At first the game didn't have much meaning for me since I had heard what it was in advance, but the end still got me. As the screen got darker I could barely see where anyone was. There then there was this one guy by himself. I thought, maybe they hadn't seen this guy, or didn't want to spoil it, there's no way this guy would leave. He did, the music stopped to reset, and it hit me all at once. Even those in a dark place all alone, still didn't accept me. I dealt with loneliness before, and this describes it so well; you have no idea why you just accept it, then you find another like you, think it could work, they understand how much you want someone, and they want someone, just not you.

This game actually brought me to tears. I've been going through an odd time recently trying to learn about myself (coming out of a brief time when I kind of forgot). I, like many of you probably did, came here through Extra Credits of Youtube. I thought as I started the game, "I don't really experience things. This game does not make me feel lonely like it should." But as I played not understanding what to do and feeling awkward, I decided to run with the pixels as they dispersed. I had fun, running through the game. I wondered why and realized what I was finding so much joy in all of a sudden: I liked making them move. That was all. I had almost forgotten that part of myself. Thank you.

wow i just happened to play this while looking through rpg games and christ... that was just sad :( and hmm... i was kinda surprised cuz i'm korean too xD yep i hope everyone's doing well back in korea :(

Decent, but I understood the point you were making quickly. It takes too long to get to the end screen message. I would shorten this 'not-game' down a bit unless you added few more interesting pieces.

The meta-game reason for it aside; it does have nice music and visuals, but you can't use 'minimalist' as an excuse for not having any real content. There'd be many ways to take some time and actually give it a point beyond the meta-game point to it. Games can have meanings and messages beyond just being a 'game,' but a game must have some sort of rules and goals to it to fulfill its primary purpose as a game. Without that, it doesn't matter the reasoning or point to it, it'll just be dull.

At first, I avoided the squares.
After I saw them fade, I hunted them down to force them to flee and disappear.
I felt nothing for the squares... I actually felt happy when they disappeared!
Is this because I am introverted?

This isn't so much "Loneliness" as it "Man with a Gun". No congregations of people actively stop what they're doing to move away from you because you're simply "lonely".

after playing many times a realised something about this game i know many people who have had loneliness most of there lives and from the tales the told me about this game really conveys the meaning of them

Not an extremely bad game, and it really gets the message through to you before you read the ending, once again nice game. 4 stars

I don't mind quick 'games' that are essentially a simple point, but I think either the music was repetitive or there's something off about the sound. For the social commentary, I think We Become What We Behold was clearer and managed to put its components together better.

Why would you think that making a 'game' of hopelessness for children who complain about loneliness would be helpful?
