I agree with PTG. It's a great simulation of Yahtzee, but covering up the yahtzee and making it "5 of kind" well, never mind, I guess that's ok. I think you should make it so you can bonuses for multiple yahtzees, I got 4 "5 of a kinds" in one game and I only got 50 points =( Could you change that? Once you do my rating will go to a 5/5 instead of 4/5. I got 20th place on all-time highscores with 310 points, yay me =) Good game.

love yahtzee. this is a perfectly good simulator. of course i felt a little gypped when i got my second yahtzee and didn't get the bonus for it, but oh well. ;)
i do think it'd be good to have some manner of making the player aware that the dice are being rolled. even if you just tint them pink for a couple seconds. thing being that if they come up the same, the player might not realize that anything has happened. and/or maybe highlight (gray out) the roll button for a moment, also preventing an accidental double-click.

I like yahtzee but this is dull... Why not show a dice roll animation of some kind? Even a little change like that would help a lot.

Seems to me the dice sometimes don't "roll", they stay the same number and the roll counter increments. It happens too often to be chance. Then again, I could be wrong.

Could you please make it multiplayer? Of cours, if multiplayer, no high scores would be sent though. For multiplayer, Just show the 5 scors at the top with whoever's turn it is as a black on yellow score.

Changed the hold colour to a darker shade of grey and added a predictive score feature that shows the score you will get on hover of each section.

I realize the developer description says this game is minimalistic, but I think there are still a few minor things that could make the game much better. It should allow for more than one yahtzee (which are worth 100 points and can be entered into a different slot as a wild). It should show how many points you need in the first 6 categories to get the bonus (63). It should also show how many points you have accumulated towards earning the bonus. Having a different color for the held dice would be nice too because the gray isn't that different from the white.

Well, at least this game didn't tax my cpu power. I was trying hard to find something good to say so that is it. Otherwise unimaginative and all around simplistic and probably in violation of Milton Bradley's (Hasbro) trandmarks. That being said I admit it is pretty hard to make Yahtzee much more interesting. Maybe setup a computer AI to play against, show a dice animation roll, rename Yahtzee to something else (like Super Roll). You've shown you can program (which is more than I can do) now lets see you come out with something spectacular.

It would be nice to see what roll number you are on, so you know you actually rolled if the dice value didn't change.
Otherwise a decent game.

Man, I love Yahtzee, and while this runs fine, it needs actual features. All this makes me want to do is grab some real dice. We're on computers... Put together a statistics sheet. I know that somebody once did a study on "ideal" yahtzee moves. How about comparing each game against what the "ideal" rolls would've been?

lacks eyecandy and sound as well as a menu (as well as a "game over" screen).
plus some dice just seemed not to roll although they were unchecked.
