Played until my left hand hurt. Definitely need to be able to customize the keys. Also, the coin magnetism is painfully slow and so is the time it takes for coins to appear from a slain enemy. This is supposed to be a fast-paced action game! 5/5

For those of you that are having a ton of trouble advancing through the game, follow this simple formula.
1) Heavy weapons (best you can afford)
2) potions, oh god potions.
3) Best Earthquake variant you can get.
4) Tweak all your armor to increase spell damage
5) Get good with the setup, and crush everything.

Every time i change the quality to low it changes back to medium and i hate how he moves forward when he attacks pan in the ass but other than that great game

this game is actually pretty easy. guerilla tactics and button mashing. wait for your opponent to run up to you kill him. mage attacks can be dodged then kill and run. simple really :l

Solid game, but the controls need work. The rest of the game has keyboard control, so why do the menus require mouse? Also, attack buttons should be remappable.

let there be upgrades to the swords, armor, and potions plz. don'r let coins vanish or let them have a long time period. there should be options that let u move the action buttons.

ok so lets get this straight, im a slave, that is allowed to run completly free in the market and run off, yet i still want to compete and get killed?

This game is really frustrating. I'm stuck on one level, with no chance for upgrades no matter how much money I raise and keep fighting. I've tried this level 20 times now and can't finish. I've tried every weapon as well. I give up.

i think the spells and items shop is glitches. Im up to lv10 now and have gotten 2 messages about new items being available but i still only have the 3 original items and 3 original spells
Also if your having trouble a good trick is equipping shield weapon and buying health potions.

yep great looking game, smooth running but the movement is a pain. Really hard to line up hits, and hard to turn if someone comes up behind you.

I don't get it. Why does the crowd get LESS excited when you get hit? I mean, in Ancient Rome and today, it makes it hella more exciting if the hero's getting hit too....

Not a bad game, but no nearly enough information. For example, what triggers new items to be available, what factors in the number of stars won, and what does the training area do, if anything?

if you click on an item in the store sometimes it is displayed as something else ex: i click on the wooden swods, it shows a sai

The money system is frustrating. A dodge would be nice. I find little motivation to do anything but sit in a corner and mash z so that anyone attacking me just dies. Honestly, the game has potential, but the overuse of the disappearing coins that we have seen from game developers makes me want to cry. The guy needs to not lunge when attacking. The shopping system is flawed. The combat system needs a rework. As soon as I see someone coming at me, I try to avoid them but my guy just stands there for a second.

needs more upgrades.... I'm stuck on a stupid lvl and can't do anything about it. doesn't matter what items i use... i have a ton of money and can't improve. they need a block and more combo stuff.

This game doesn't feel like it's skill based at all. It's just a gearcheck. Do you have good weapons and armor? Did you buy potions? Press z, win.
I really like gladiator stuff too :(

I found this fairly poor, most of the game mechanics are solid but the unlock system is tedious and why have replayable levels and nothing to buy, the vanishing coins means as a Gladiator I have to also scrabble around in the sand picking up coins while i get hacked apart which is just ridiculous. The fact that my guy can't seem to swing a sword without stumbling drunkenly forward till he is hacking at the air behind his opponent is frankly embarrassing for us both but despite these issues its a nice game and could be a lot of fun with a few tweaks.

So much potential here, but so many things make it unenjoyable. Bad choice of control keys. Moving forward each attack. Inability to change directions without ceasing attack, pressing direction firmly and resuming. Coin gathering from corpses that take forever to dissipate. Running over several screens to purchase items for no good reason. Having to use the mouse for an otherwise all-keyboard game. Arbitrarily locked items. Useless training. Useless crowd of commentators to run through for no reason.

A tweak to move or a button to do a quick dodge in the direction you're moving would be nice. Or, you know actually being able to block with the shield.
Ability to set function keys (attack, items, etc.) or a revision of them would be good. It's awkward using the pinky or ring finger for the primary basic attack, since that's the one that gets pressed the most.
Other than that it's not a bad game, I like the River City Ransom style coin/body drops and disappearances.

i usually use dual swords' heavy attack so that it enables me to go backward a little when hitting enemies with combos
