I do wish that the game had stayed somewhat closer to the original, and perhaps had an actual story, but sometimes games just... die, perhaps it was just SFH's time?

Why is managing weapons so tedious? I feel like I shouldn't have to go through three screens just to upgrade a weapon.

What the fck am I supposed to do in mission 6? Theres 4 of them with completely overpowering weapons. It's completely impossible.

I have a major problem with the game not telling me anywhere that only a certain type of character can use a certain weapon when I´m byuing it. Fkn stupid.

I kinda wish the game allowed you to have more squad members and I wish there were more game modes. Also maybe something like 10v10 but besides that this game is really good and I look forward to SFH 4.

this game is such a let down, first game was legendary and I still find myself coming back to play it after I've pretty much done everything, 2nd game was really good to, loved the voice actors, this one... eh'. no dialogue, essentially a non existent plot, wasn't a fan of the art (weird muscles on the mercenary xd) , didn't really like how gender was tied with the class, (kinda wanted a male gunslinger). not horrible I guess but it didn't live up to the other games.

I'd give this an 8/10, looking back on it. Overall, good gameplay, but almost no plot and some frustrating mechanics.
Compared to SFH2, the weapons system is much, much better. Upgrades were something we always needed, the blueprint/prototype system is great, and the classes with different (but overlapping) weapon slots is better than separate inventories.
I also like the ability to pick your team. Unique, earnable heroes are also great, although I think they should be unlocked throughout the game instead of having to beat a lvl 50 challenge for a hero that doesn't even start with any levels.
The different attachment slots are definitely an upgrade.
On the other hand, there were a few issues. I don't get the purpose of having days or getting tired, and the lag is just bad enough to be noticeable.
The players seem bigger. Moving doesn't affect aim much, so max range usually matters more
And it's just personal preference, but I preferred the old art style

Well, this definitly is a large step from part 2. Not really in a good direction, but neither in a bad one.
I Like how you now can customize (and kinda control) the whole squad, gaining exp on all soldiers in the battle. Let's you feel more involved with the whole squad and also gives you more options to adjust to your playstyle.
It's sad to see that there's no story at all and just random heroes. There would've been great opportunities of introducing pre-designed heroes to the squad, telling a story with them (maybe forcing some missions to be played with a specific soldier...).

are you kidding me? went back into the game after a full day of grinding and I had a power shortage before coming back and seeing all my progress gone.

the two things i want to say about this specific game on this website; 1. I love that it's rated 4 stars at an average even though the majority of the highly voted comments are mostly complaints. 2. It's weird/annoying how even when you're in very easy mode and is level 4-6 they still sometimes stand a chance because of how their weapons are mostly randomized, so you could go up against a level 45 betsy if you're unlucky enough.

why the hell is there an xp cap per mission? i manage to carry my level 1's through content 20 levels over what they can do and all they can receive is one level. You are forcing people to go back and do the whole campaign again if they find a character with better than average traits making the leveling process terrible.

I will be honest - its sad to see that our characters dont talk at all during levels. It feels like as if they are simply bots without character development. I really enjoyed when Sniper in SFH2 joked about gaming etc. Strike Force Heroes 1 & 2 had definitely better stories.

...there's very little progression. got a legendary explosive. its level 1 or 2. most of my characters are above 10 now and still nothing better.
