I was having trouble with the medium badge. Then I gave up and started mashing the down button while barely even looking at the screen. I got it first try that way.

For the hard badge, remember: you have all the time in the world on classic mode. Don't just drop on a whim; let the cake move back and forth a few times so you can time your drop correctly. Go for edge and danger bonuses early on. The bonus multiplier is your friend. When you see a bomb coming up, go out of your way to avoid it, especially later on when the small cakes give you less leeway to "move" away. After you see the bomb, slowly move back towards it to pick up the danger bonus, then try to edge-stack a cake over the bomb to pick up an edge bonus and a danger bonus at the same time. If you follow all this, it is perfectly possible to get the hard badge without powerups through stacking alone. Just remember: get the bonus multiplier as high as possible, and to do that patience is key. Don't rush!

By holding the "down" button and then doing just an "okay" job flying the king, you can get the medium badge on the first try super easily. Don't worry if you only have about 30,000 points after the "timer" runs out. The king will fly and eat the cakes, and if you're accurate enough, you can get to 40,000 fairly quickly.

Dear King of Cakeland,
Though has proven to be a most....interesting job, I find it a waste of my magical capabilities to merely make cakes stack so you can eat them. I've used most of my mana (magical energy, my lord), and now find even finding my spellbooks taxes much of my strength. In addition- no 3 second cameo in the game even? This lack of attention and waste of my powers and talent are just too much to bear. Have fun stacking cakes yourself.

For the badge of the day just spam cakes, you'll get around 30k points just from placing them down, and another 30k from eating em

There are multiple perks you can buy. I would give all of them, and be fine with paying 5000 coins, just for a "no muffins" perk instead.

Dont bash the down key, hold it. You'll drop the cakes faster than ever plus I got 40k points before launching the king.

So, when I posted on the forums that I was going to add a new medium badge to Pel for the 5-Minute Games quest, what I really meant was that I'd be adding a new medium badge to Feed the King and not including Pel in this quest at all. So, yeah, sorry about the messaging/planning with that. My fault! But this game is awesome, and it needed to be a part of the 5-Minute Games quest, and the easy badge is trivial while the hard badge is pretty hard. And this game had room for one more badge anyway, so here it is -- enjoy!

Best baker in the world: Not only can he hold a gigantic stack of cakes with ONE HAND, he also keeps a mostly straight face as he watches the king climb the stack, knowing that the king will fall back down and make the funniest noise ever when he hits the ground. (Too bad we don't get to hear it...)

After getting the hard badge, I thought I'd give my own tip, because it was difficult for me until I realized this. Ignore the advice the game gives about not getting as high a score just because you stack higher. Take your time, going as straight up as you can, tilting the cakes whenever there's a bomb for you to avoid. I also highly recommend getting the heart upgrade for when you do this. :) Making it straight makes it very easy to eat all of your cake afterwards without missing any, and keeps you from screwing up and missing your cake.
