Under rating threshold (show) Average Happiness 90 isn't possible. It takes more than 5 years to get to the highest degree to be able to support a 90-happiness life style, after which it would require a 100-happiness life style to end with a 90-average(45 years at 100 happiness = 90 average). I'd have to get up to 130 base income to do that.

Under rating threshold (show) The display is obviously not normal ... On the left is a blue panel with "Passive Time" and "Active Time" etc., on the right is a green area with "Money Category" etc. and below that "Hpurly Expenses" etc. There is a purple panel that The left panel is hidden below the right panel. In addition, there is a panel below it that can be scrolled by the scroll bar or mouse wheel. It looks like this game obviously needs a larger viewing area ... is something wrong?

Under rating threshold (show) Instead of calculating every hour when the day/week/month/year buttons are clicked, just pre-calculate it. Say I get 55 per hour and spend 49 per hour on happiness, that's 6 per hour. Then I click month, so 6*160=960. Now you just increment the funds by 960, instead of calculating out 160 steps. And for investments require other math that I don't know, but I know there's a calculation for it to make it MUCH faster.

Under rating threshold (show) @sorawarrior I think you miss-understand. Having 1 Large company would net you 100m/year where are having 100x Small business would only give 60m/year. 10kx Gov bonds 40m/year ect. Better to buy the higher ones, the %'s don't add up but the "bonds" do. Hope that clears this a little

Under rating threshold (show) it seems like the passive workers calculate each hour separately for each operation. That means for the year passive each second it has to calculate 1920 hour ticks which makes it lag like crazy. just make the year passive worker give 1920 times the money that the hour passive worker gives and dont let it calculate 1920 times each second. and the same for all the other passive workers with corresponding values

Under rating threshold (show) So there is a problem of progression. My next level is with an average 80H (happiness). To get 80H an hour you have to spend 40/hour- To get an average 80H you need to generate 4000H for 50 year cycles (80x50). If i focus only on generation of assets for one 3 year cycle i need 85+H the following 47 years(4000/47). 85H costs 85 per hour. That is close to impossible until i hit 20/hour right away after resetting. Due to the steep scaling after 80H/hour. To get 85H award i need to reset between 10 times with the 35H rank . (if you start with 100k and 20/hour you can double the income with education). You are in this for the long run, and earning more money and happiness then 35 average will not get you anywhere. I recommend autoclicker if you want to play.

Under rating threshold (show) i seem to have a problem with the display where all the windows overlap one other, in the "passive/active" window the right column is under the "money category/amount" window. Same with the "degree window" where the first degree is under the "passive time/active time" window even when i scroll all the way to the top.

Under rating threshold (show) I want to like this because it seems like it's going to unfold nicely but the amount of clicks required to just to get rolling is awful... There is no torture, it just means I need to leave the game open all day while I'm work. That's not fun at all.

Under rating threshold (show) Nice concept. I get you with the thought experiment part in the description. The interface is a bit weird for me tho. It would be cool if there were randomly generated investments you could buy (time limited maybe?), but those might be complicated to keep track of.

Under rating threshold (show) For the average happiness, a forcasted result of what you'd get at the end would be nice. In the help window it says 15 on average will give you a boost of an extra $1 I think. Also, there's no indication if this adds up or if the boost will only last until the next boost. In other words if you end with and extra $1 then the next time earn $2 more will you have $2 or $3 as the boost?

Under rating threshold (show) First, in the instructions you call this "point and click", but "point and click" is a very specific genre that this game definitely isn't. Second, it's kinda fun to see things progress, but unless you micromanage things like crazy, you simply cannot get 80+ happiness average, at least not before 18+ lifetimes (I'm at 18 and I've only gotten sub-80 averages despite trying). And finally, this game would be a 4-star for me if it had a goal. It's definitely fun but without a goal it gets uninteresting pretty quickly. 3 stars for now.

Under rating threshold (show) Sliders tend to need options for manual input at some point. Definitely needs auto-idle, but you may have commented on that already. I'm getting closer to first reset, and wondering if the 15 average happiness is a minimum for enhancement of next life, or if you get some small benefit from reincarnation no matter the happy average in the life previous. If it's the former that could be rather irritating.

+ - !

(5)

Developer response from JustAMinute

Future updates will absolutely include an auto-purchase/upgrade feature. . The reincarnation benefits are a minimum threshold of average happiness (sorry), AND... AND you get the first tier of education unlocked, which helps a lot. Part of my thought process on this game is that the time spent playing is part of the reward system, so unlocking features is dependent on lifetimes elapsed.

Jul. 25, 2019

Under rating threshold (show) on the first lifetime, it goes way too slowly without clicks, and the gameplay feels rather pointless, why lock away everything behind the first reset? at the very least don't show me 100 buttons I cannot click

+ - !

That would take the torture out of the game. It is a totally fair criticism, that I will willfully ignore.

NormaTheNorman

Jul. 25, 2019

Under rating threshold (show) Look forwards to the development of the game. Has potential. Might as well add the option of auto upgrade and autobuy to the game. It's what most people would do anyone under most circumstance, and would add to the idle aspect of the game.

TheLowerLight

+ - !

TheLowerLight

Jul. 25, 2019

Under rating threshold (show) Wait so does that mean we really only need to increase happiness right before we die and start a new lifetime? If so I would be able to save up a large sum on month 10 or 11 of year 50, set slider to max and get the best happiness bonus

+ - !

(0)

Developer response from JustAMinute

That would be nice, but no. The game calculates the average over the full Lifetime to determine your bonus. You must average 15 happiness for a whole lifetime to get the bonus. Also, I love how fast you’re playing through. Keep going and you’ll be my official unofficial beta tester, haha.

Under rating threshold (show) Is there any reason why you should upgrade? It seems like 100 of a lower item is worth more than 1 of the higher.

Under rating threshold (show) I like idle games, but this just isnt it.... having to activate passive income is just weird, as it is an idle. The UI need cleaning up badly, Yield seems like a weird way to increase your idle income instead of +1/10 etc.

+ - !

(1)

It boosts your investment to the next investment up. For example: 100 Small, Incremental = 1 Government Bond when upgraded. I fully intend to add some more instructions and clarity in the description when I have more time.

Jul. 25, 2019

Under rating threshold (show) I am just guessing, but it feels like 50 Government Bonds lead to +1 money/hour. While 50*1000*4% = 2k, so I guess "Yield" is interest per 2000 hours. Looks pretty random to me

+ - !

(5)

Bouvere

Jul. 25, 2019

Under rating threshold (show) To me it is not clear what yield is? Is it interest per day/month/year? Already have 50 goverment bonds but my money/h is still stuck at 10. If I do not know what to aim for, it just feels like it does not work

+ - !

(5)

Developer response from JustAMinute

Thanks for the comment! Yield is annual. When I get a chance, I’ll patch through a more detailed description of yield in the Instructions page. For now, note that 1year = 1920hours (8hours/day*5days/week*4weeks/month*12months/year). Therefore, 50 government bonds is an extra 1.04167 per hour, but it isn’t reflected in your hrly rate total. That doesn’t reflect investment income. I wanted players to calculate their own investment income, so I’d like to keep that as is.

JustAMinute

Jul. 24, 2019

Under rating threshold (show) I know this game is pretty simple, but that was rather the point. I just wanted something simple and fulfilling over a long period of time. I hope everyone enjoys this game or has the foresight to know they won't long before the spend too much time watching the time tick away.
