The ice stage is the hardest stage. The lava stage can be easily win by getting flight ability items and you can easily make enemies kill themselves by snipe on fireballs fire elementals spiting or just make enemies on the way on trail of fire orb. But ice stage's enemies who have ice shooting ability also have ice bomb which blocks from transpassing. Combining those two are really hard. Also the cold gauge forces find campfire which also can be frustrating when there's statue nearby

I see the load button, but if I quit the browser then come back later, it's not there. I do have cookies enabled for Kong.

How do I get a previously saved game to load? If I play today, quit and save, then come back tomorrow, my game is gone. How do I fix that?

Note - though you note you can't find a book pre level 4, I literally had a Book of the Rogue and Book of Necromancy in the starting room of a ranger run. Just a heads up. :P

Fun and well made game. I like the loyalty to the classic concepts, but no permanent progress is a little bit of a dated concept for good reason. I would at least appreciate high scores, if not some kind of incremental permanent bonus for spending hours delving only to be killed in a mundane fashion.

Ehhh, my playthrough as a rogue showed how much unbalanced the lava level is, atleast there is no way a rogue can skip it without spawning with the goblet at its side. The towers can spot you very easily and there is no way you can avoid the eel's damage since even casting evade they don't forget about you. And i thought Ice cave was hard, hahah stupid me.

With the very first step in level 15 I took, 6! lava eels ambushed me, instant death. I had no time to do anything, just one turn-kill. My health was almost full, I guess I have to keep it maxed before entering a new level... Still, that sucked A LOT.

Ring of reflection, shield of reflection and weapon shield also doesn't stack with each other. PLEASE be more clear with the limitations!!!!

I wanna leave some tips I have found neat:
Abuse terrain u can crit from there easily without sneak attack (stacked does more).
Barbarian charging sneak attack does tons of damage even if you arent close... Charge cleave anyone?.
Oil is not only meant for fire damage guys fire mage can summon those and that creates area of free crits plus the best is the sliding when hitting with melee you get free hits most times as enemies slide on it.
careful to dont get into it and ganked by both sides or that will hapeen to you too, a blink scroll helped me out of it, place it well

I have enjoyed this game and tried other classes, so far necro does have an edge but not only because of the heal (stacking but lil damage) and easier mana handling but the real deal of him is that poison bomb if placed well and kitting it does the job alone. tip also waiting turns instead of chasing can help those kites vs ranged enemies on corners.

Just get lucky and finished that damned Ice Level, didn't spawn with multiple cages, pillars and bears does wonders to your health

I like it, it's fun, I just wish it was more balanced. For the life of me I can't understand how a melee character is supposed to do anything.

This is a really good game, I really like the book learning, the food mechanics. So it pains me much that I have to say that I found three things that bother me:
1.: There is no ice mage. Ever since I met with slow and ice bomb, and have seen the ice terrain, I totally want to play as a cold, calculating ice mage.
2.: The game tells me that creatures I can't see block line of effect. Weren't ambushes meant to be - well, ambushes?
3.: The ranger doesn't really feel like ranged terror. Without a slingshot or something that uses infinite ammo, relying on the ranged attack skill and talents is basically suicide. Seriously, I was more effective with an acid wand than the darts I was supposed to use (even while they lasted).

it would be cool if the aftifact that ends the run was gaurded by something like a boss because the last level is basicaly must find artifact ignore every thing else

Maybe javelins could be more re-usable (like picked from dead bodies) but they could be rarer accordingly? just an idea

Awesome game and a challenge. I prefer this over Enchanted Cave 2 although that has a 4.5 rating, I think you've struck a nice balance between luck and skill instead of a mindless neverending grind like the aforementioned game. Keep doing what you like with the balance and the new content is very appreciated

the best tactic i find is to rush that last set of level the last 3-4 levels because it gets abit hectic and standing and fighting is just a grind that usually doesnt go in your favour, so you need to be powerful enough by then to actually hack it

Very great game there! The only thing I find rather unpleasant is the way you get assaulted by 42 enemies when you go down a stage... I tried to save my life once and going down the stairs only made it worse. XD

I wish there were *something* to show for playing and then dying, other than the ability to do the same with the next character. A bonus stat point for subsequent characters after reaching certain points, or somesuch.

oh and i found a bug? I bought bombs on lvl 15? i think? seemed WAY too good to be true for 3 gold each and huge spam damage...but they never showed up in my inventory. so ya...was too good to be true haha

still seemed...too easy? Unsure about all of the comments upset about balancing and such. i hit lvl 8 on my first run ever and completed leisurely with Ranger on my 4th or 5th run? its entirely possible i was lucky with dbl speed boots and ranger shrine. Lack of final boss guarding goblet was kind meh...but def enjoy a well made rougelike
