@HHHHx8 All you have to do is take the goblet of Yendor. You don't have to beat every monster. it is actually easier if you use scroll or charm of blink to get to it and skip every monster in the area.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
how do I win? Do I have to just go down to 16th level or take all treasures or beat all the monsters or all of above?

Never have I ever struggled so much with a medium badge. How does a game with such complex mechanics just straight up lack a tutorial?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Doughbuy I've beaten the game with the Ranger more than 300 times. Get yourself a nice Long Bow and you're on your way.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Ok - Finally beat it. Necromancer is broken just life drain, skeleton, freeze, cannibalie, repeat. Every other class is impossible.

When I got back on to play (and had my glasses on) I realized this is III, not a revised and updated II. As always, I'm an idiot. Just ask my wife.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The enemies simply get too hard to beat at a certain point making the badge more difficult than a medium badge should ever be.

"I really wish you could come back after you die." I know... right. These Rogue Fable games are fun to play and hope to have the time to figure out how to play them better.

I really wish you could come back after you die, even if it was a few levels behind. Super frustrating getting to the last level multiple times and having to start completely from scratch if you misclick or die.

@vex2968: Eat meat. You start with one piece in your inventory and will usually find some before you starve after that. Since it restores half your health, you can also squeeze out a bit more time by not eating until you're down that far, if you're willing to risk it against enemies. It can also be bought from merchants.

Finally managed to hit Level 6. Doubt I would've, if not for the combination of the Strafe Attack ability and the Necromancer's poison DoT effect -- there's very little breathing room between the range that a projectile attack will hit at and the range that the hordes of melee enemies favor, yet there's only one way to attack from a distance while moving, which makes the combat a pain.

One of my biggest challenges in the game is avoiding the mistaken though that I can survive "just one more hit" against a group of opponents.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Watch out for today's level 8 on the daily challenge. The entry staircase gets swarmed by ogre packs and orcs from all sides.
Plenty of meat in the surrounding ogre caves of course, if you manage to survive.

My only dislike is if you use boots of speed and the swiftness spell simultaneously you still only move at 2x speed instead of 4x speed.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
4/5 for Rogue Fable II but only 2/5 for this one. I found the character menu interface rather irritating and the character's speed simply ridiculous. I had tried this game previously, and after getting addicted to the second one I couldn't understand why I rated this one lower. Now I remember...

Little glitch found : on level 9, I need to use a "switch" to open the next level, however there is no switch in the level - yes, I did look out everywhere for it, to no avail. I've been playing daily for a few years now, it's the first time it happens, so a very rare occurrence :)

Should have an undo button on merchants. I got to the last floor, so decided to go back some levels to sell stuff for the merchant, and accidentally sold my best weapon and don't have money to buy it back.

I play this game daily since 3 years. My lessons learned:
- always hit and run if you can
- always have at least one "last resort" item: Scroll of Inferno, Potion of Resistance, Scroll of teleport or the like
- The Charm of healing is the best item in the whole game.
- Prefer rings that provide bonuses to Attributes (strenght, dex or intelligence)
- Avoid items that reduce your maximal HP, except if you really know what you're doing
- Storm mages can shoot around corners even if they can't see you
- Two Dark elf storm mages can deal 60 Damage in two turns,
- With 3 Blinks (scroll of blinking or Charm of blinking) and one scroll of inferno you wil be able to rush level 15 in like 10 seconds
- Never use a scroll of inferno when webbed or standing in grass. You'll cook yourself.
- Electric shocks PROPAGATE THROUGH STEAM be careful!
- Sewers are easy (just hit and run), Arcane tower is a fkn Deathtrap (except as Ranger)
- "The Core" without fire resistance is suicide.

If you're careful this game isn't that hard, except the first 20 tries or so until you figured out how enemies move and that you should employ hit and run tactics.

@AggelosM57: corrosive slimes downgrade melee weapons that hit them until they're unenchanted. I'm not sure whether it's a random chance or a 100% one since I kill these slimes with range weapons or spells.

@Naud1234, you sure? My kids reach often levels 7-9. It's not that difficult. Reaching the end is certainly a nightmare, but the first badge not so.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Necromancers Infectious desease spell is pretty much guaranteed suicide. Why the hell can enemies infect you with your own spell?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Enemy size also changes what tiles mack enemies unstable. For example, a rat is unstable on blood, but an ogre is not.

Hey everyone! I checked the wiki a bring much desired information.
Barbarian's rage apparently does a couple of different things. 1) your melee skill is increased by 1 for every 1 rage you currently have. 2) when you kill an enemy, all your skill cool-downs are decreased by how much rage you have. for more information, go to the barbarian rogue fable 3 page on fandom. I hope that this helps everyone

I'mma just come out and say it, I absolutely love the iron fortress. The visual aesthetic is great, and the music there, jeez its amazing.
Also, I think I figured out what the enemy size thing means. I think it has to do with enemy knockback resistance. I say this I noticed that some "small" enemies will go careening across the screen when I knock them back, but "large" enemies will just be knocked back one tile.
